Is it just me or can Kyle actually act pretty well , every time I see him in his movies acting I'm like "not bad Kyle, not bad"
Man, being a Texan has really desensitized me to gun ownership lmao. I hardly even notice when a character has a gun because like... Everyone has some sort of gun down here, even if they don't necessarily carry it on them
@@mattrogersftw It really seems like states with more rural areas just have more gun ownership. Which makes sense because I grew up in a house that was a twenty minute drive from the nearest town, so if you called the cops, you'd be waiting a long ass time. Better to have something just in case.
@@maia_gaia It's the culture. I'm Canadian and I lived in a rural area for years: I know some people with guns but otherwise not a majority. I wanted a permit but just didn't end up doing it...
The United States just loves guns a lot: you're 4% of the world population but own almost half of all the guns worldwide.

Living in those parts have others inconvients: firefighters will have a hard time reaching you in time as well. They got to us in 9 minutes but it's only because they were going to a party and they were passing by when we called. (I understand guns in shitty areas but my in town if they robbed you they wouldnt take the chance to have you home anyway, in fact 99% of home invasions in my area happened to people with secondary residences that were left unchecked for months)
But since were talking about threats, in Quebec its... Well...Pretty much shitty drivers! Most people sucks at driving here it's truly awful!

The original Smokey Bear was an orphaned cub found after a wildfire in New Mexico. A couple years ago a bear was found in Rio Rancho, a suburb of Albuquerque with around 90,000 people. Its location with respect to the mountains seemed to imply that it had walked all the way across Albuquerque without anyone noticing.

Watched the movie 6 months ago so it was really obvious to me. In all fairness they stole from many Vampire movies, like Blade and Underworld. And maybe from other genre of movies like Vancancy, which start the same way than this movie.
This couple is supposed to be both Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson(Vacancy) or Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman(Underworld) except that they both sucks...
Oh, and the sad thing is that it probably steals from Resident Evil 3, too, which makes me think that this movie is a 2007-2008 hodgepodge of popular films from this era.
Edit: I was close. It's from 2009.

Amongst many things. But I think it's also a mix of Vacancy and The Hills Have Eyes(a couple is on the brink of rupture but one ends up in a motel and the other in the desert. In this one both happens but it's shot like From Dusk Till Dawn)
The movie might also rip from Catacombs but it's not one that I've watched, I'm just aware that Catacombs has human skulls covering underground tunnels like this movie does. And of course it steals from Blade and Underworld.

Holy shit, i have Death Hunter's knife. Hilariously that knife has "Winchester" stamped on the side, I wish i could post a pic of it, but for the movie and because they couldn't get Winchester to sponsor they had to get rid of the stamp. Its a little difficult to tell but it appears as if they removed it digitally. If they sanded it off I would think we'd see scratches and I dont see them on the blade when its in the wall. I had to rewind and pause because I was like "wait a second, that knife looks familiar" lol. Excellent review as always K&B.

Kyle I'm actually with you on this one, it's not good from a story or technical perspective, but it easily beats out a lot of other films of this same caliber by virtue of not being another self-insert power fantasy. I'm so used to the 'shlubby badass in a black tank top' trope that I was actually shocked when the film showed him struggling with stuff haha

the parts kyle says make sense reminds me of something.... oh yeah! in batman when batman gets trained by that dude. i haven't seen that batman since it came out so i forget all the details but if they did just take it from batman it might be why its kinda competent, copy paste batman training. they atleast show and tell us how this average dude got strong to defeat all the vampires and werewolves. most bad movies just have them kicking ass at the start with noooo explanation.
i think that rattlesnake mp3 was used in clash of the titans when they get to medusa lol thats the one place i really recognize it.
