I have the 1460 smooth leather and 1460 vegan, both are the same size, and yes - the vegan are narrower. I had no break in time as they fit my feet nicely and feel like slippers. I love them. My leather ones are stiff yet still very comfortable. I have not had any soreness or blisters even after wearing them all day. I think a lot of people are buying too small. I’m a half size and went up in size in all 4 of my DM boots and shoes.
Thanks for sharing.. the smooth leather are difficult to deal with. The vegan leather surprised me on how narrow it is
I just got the black, classic Jadeyn smooth leather as a Christmas gift yesterday and call me crazy but with 2 pairs of regular socks I find them comfortable, no blisters or pain..at all!!

I bought a gently used pair of Jadon smooth leather boots and almost 2 months later, I’m still trying to break them in 😂 they’re still p stiff at first, but wearing thick socks helps with the ankle rub in the back. And as they warm up on my feet, they seem to soften/conform a bit. But damn, they look so badass 👌🏼 so I guess no pain, no gain lmao

It’s so hard to break in doc martens for me i be getting my heel scraped off all the time 😭I own two doc martens but I’m trying to buy another pair which are platforms these time and I’m afraid they won’t break in
Get a pair of soft leather docs like nappa, or Virginia leather. Also the vegan ones are easier to break in
When it comes to the heel problem.. it could be the stitching around that area that is causing that
I currently regret buying the Jadon, it’s been 3 months and I still have to take it off a few hours later due to blisters and my feet feeling squeezed. It was my dream boots but now it’s a nightmare because I can’t use it without being miserable. Ugh!

Have you considered using Vaseline on your feet? Works for me I’ve been wearing docs for 40 odd years.

what about taking off the insoles? i purchased several pairs of docs and i took out the insoles until they molded to my feet. after i put the insoles back in

Lol those are mono Dr Martens. (monochrome). All black Dr Martens have all black stitching. All white Dr Martens have all with stitching etc
