- Today I am presenting the best shoe I have ever purchased to date. It is so versatile, so easy to style and on top of that, really easy to find in a thrift store because it's such a 'classic' piece. It is the... drum roll please*... Dr.Martens 1461, platform edition. I am *obsessed with these shoes because they are just so unimaginably flattering to any sort of leg out there. I highly recommend to go and thrift yourself a pair as well bc it is going to be worth it, trust me.
And if you don't believe me then just watch the video and see what sort of power this shoe possess, aka how much it makes any fit drip.

The quad 1461’s really do go with EVERYTHING!!! I have them in burgundy and even in that color they not only go with EVERY SINGLE OUTFIT, but they elevate every single outfit.

The 1461s were my first docs and I LOVED them. I got a pair of jadons last summer and I always grab them instead of my poor, neglected 1461s. Your video has reignited that love for my low tops and I'm excited to wear them with tights and dresses this fall

I literally just bought a pair yesterday.. Got them on clearance.. us 10.00 extra off then.. another 15 percent. Total.. 81 bucks for 140.00 shoe. So excited . I might never wear my zillion other pair of shoes again.. lol

Not me literally going to the store to go buy a dupe. And not buying it at the end. CZcams is giving me a sign to go get it. This should be an ad for the Dr.Martens shoe. Because I'm sold. I do want to thrift it. However I am concerned as I'm scared to catch something. I'd thrift anything but shoes or undergarments. Any tips on how to properly clean shoes you thrift?
There’s specific cleaning spray for shoes which I used in the past and can highly recommend, however, my preferred method is to use a good old alcohol wipe because if you wipe both the in- and outside, plus leave them out for a bit and then wipe again, you can be sure that all potential germs are killed off (also if it’s leather I always make sure to have on socks whenever i wear them)
Or you choose the safest road: try to thrift a pair that is almost new (but that’s a bit hard to find sometimes)

Two things: silicone heel protectors and doc martens socks! I’d recommend the socks more than the heel protectors actually, bc, dr.martens (so the brand itself) is aware of where exactly the shoe will rub against your foot the most, so their socks are thicker in these specific areas. When I broke in my Jadens last year I thought I’d *never* be able to wear them, but after I bought the right socks I had absolutely no issues anymore 😌

To be honest it’s been a while since I bought these but I think I bought them at my local drug store haha
Sometimes drug stores really do have very good socks, highly recommend checking yours out as well 😉
these shoes butchered my heel through 3 socks and a silicone pad, I love them regardless
