A “thin and light” body design with a low hood and front fenders, and a low horizontal beltline grounds the body, accentuates the wheels and tires, and enables an expansive, airy greenhouse. Inside, the M/M approach results in a strikingly simple, clean and modern take on classic Civic values. By evoking the uncluttered cabin design of early generations of Civic, the new model’s interior features exceptional visibility, intuitive ergonomics, extraordinary passenger volume and driver-focused technology.
LED lighting is used extensively for the exterior, including the wide-set headlights, daytime running lights, parking lights, and available fog lights.
The Civic Sedan will be available in eight exterior colors, three of which are new: Meteorite Gray Metallic, Sonic Gray Pearl and all-new Civic-exclusive Morning Mist Blue Metallic.
    Human-Centered Interior Design
Honda’s outstanding interior packaging results in ample head, leg, shoulder and hip room for all passengers. A feeling of spaciousness is immediately felt and shared by all Civic occupants, thanks to the low, flat beltline and uncluttered design throughout its cabin.
The pulled-back A-pillars, low hood, flat dashboard and hidden windshield wipers enable a windshield with clearly defined corners for a panoramic view. The low cowl is the same height as the door sills for an uninterrupted and harmonious flow that extends from the dash all the way to the rear doors. The outside mirrors also have been positioned away from the windshield pillars to improve visibility.
Further improving visibility is the top of the Civic’s instrument panel, which has been designed with minimum cutlines to reduce windshield reflections and visual distractions.
A striking metal honeycomb mesh accent stretches from door to door across the dash. It serves both form and function, creating a dramatic visual dividing line between the audio, information displays and the climate controls, while the intricate flow-through design conceals the air vents that would otherwise mar the uncluttered and harmonious look of the dash.
High-quality materials are used throughout the interior, especially on touchpoints, with close attention paid to the operation of all switchgear and controls. Materials were also chosen with an eye toward practicality, such as the new premium center console trim specifically designed to hide fingerprints and smudges to help maintain a high-end appearance.
All Civic trims benefit from a new front seat design. Using Honda’s Body Stabilizing Seat approach, the new-generation seat frame firmly holds the body, enhancing comfort on long drives.
Civic Touring also debuts an all-new 9-inch color touchscreen, which builds upon the foundation laid by the Display Audio system in Honda models such as Accord, Odyssey, Pilot and Passport. The new touchscreen is the largest ever in any Honda-brand vehicle, and features a physical volume knob, large, easy-to-recognize icons, and a simplified navigation structure with fewer embedded menus. On the left are hard buttons for Home and Back functions.

I had a 2018 until yesterday and I purchased the 2022 touring. I love everything about, especially the interior. The media system on the 10th gen was a little clunky and this is a huge upgrade...and they gave us knobs to use!! Nice touch with the honeycomb inside. I guess I've grown up like the car!

How is the road noise compared to the 2018? We have a 2018 and its a tad loud. Our 2010 Prius is quieter. If the new civic is at least 2010 Prius quiet im good lol.

Im 17 years old right now, I dont have a job anymore due to the fact I had to quit because I moved counties... But I kind of want to manifest a bit; sorry im going to give a little background... So I wasn't born into a very well off family but that flaw is overshadowed by our perseverance we've faced a lot of difficult times especially my father and mother solely based off the fact that they had to experience the back hand of everything especially my father... Ik this may be kind of off topic but im going to be getting a job soon again, as an addition to that I'll be saving to get my first car which is a 2014 Honda civic I dont know how long it'll take me but from the point of when I get my job I will be manifesting heavily on helping my parents, though I have a lot of mental things to juggle, plus school and my social life I'll find some way to balance out my goals and etc... Got a bit off track but just saying all of that to say this, my dream car is literally this car right here, I know I wont have the funds to purchase it as of right now but I pray, hope, and will work as hard as I possibly can and more to be able to buy this car and also help my parents, beyond what I see I can do for them... I hope everyone is safe and blessed, no matter if you receive a blessing or not please have a little kindness and love in your heart to bless someone else in need even if it isn't a monetary blessing vocally assisting someone in need of positivity is as great and or larger way of help than the sight of money. ✌🏾 update will come soon.

You can buy a plastic engine cover to place on top of the engine. You can have a trunk cargo cover custom-made for the inside roof instead of leaving the speakers and wiring exposed. It will help to add some thick foam as a barrier reducing a couple decibels of Cabin noise. The noise-deadening foil that can be purchased is a ripoff and at best reduce Cabin noise by 3 to 5 decibels. It is a waste of money and time. Also may cause damage to your interior panels or flooring or electrical operation of switches. Get a professional to soundproof your vehicle correctly with real noise-deadening material used in Recording Studios and Audiology Booths for hearing tests. Make sure to get heat-resistant/flame-proof material. Expect to spend more than $2,000 to soundproof your car as material may cost $1,500 and labor charge of $500 for a small or compact car. Sound does enter through your tempered-proof glass windshield so getting a legal tint can cut down on vibration noise by 2 or 3 decibels. So if your vehicle on the highway produces 70dbs of noise, having it sound deadening/ proof should reduce the cabin noise by 5 to 6 decibels using the cheap stuff or having a professional job done will get you 12 to 25 decibels less in the cabin noise. Do you prefer to listen to a gas-powered Chain Saw or an electric hedge trimmer? Never use tar or rubberized undercoating for rust or noise deadening as it will damage and make your exhaust and suspension parts rust within 5 to 7 years. Besides, mechanics hate working on stuff that is grossly coated which makes the repair job more difficult. Avoid Ziebert with a passion, expensive, and will make your vehicle worthless, they're just out for your money.

Honda never places the rear camera in the middle. The middle is the button to open the trunk. People would possibly damage the camera mistaking it for the opener.
What they needed to do was update the quality of the camera! They’ve been using that same camera for like 6 years!

    • @blackwhirlwind1245

The real news here is that they finally re-designed the overhead console (map lights/sunglasses holder). Honda's been using essentially the same one on most of their cars since the 6th Gen Accord in 1998.

What has Honda done about the carbon build up problem with direct injection engines? Toyota has added injectors that wash the pistons periodically with gasoline.

I really wish the touring came with an optional 2.0L naturally aspirated engine along with the 1.5Turbo. The 1.5T engine has had some oil delusion problems in the past, where gasoline mixes with the engines oil. Also the naturally aspirated engines are more reliable. I don’t mind less pick up.
