WE LOVE THE UNDERDOG STORY RESPECT AND SALUTE TO LEICESTER CITYâđœ (5000/1)
czcams.com/video/o4ZQMqj-QVY/video.html karim benzema đ„
Iâm from Leicester born and bred and I canât even put into words this story! Also 2 or 3 seasons before the championship win we were relegated to league 1 (div 3). The most depressing day but the season after we won league 1 back to the championship and then onto this story! Itâs been a rollercoaster ride but huge love to my hometown team!
so the other thing that makes the Leicester journey insane is the fact that their top scorer for that year Jamie Vardy came from a non-professional team. you guys need to find a video on his story!
To be fair there was a better video that described the situation after every game. Vardy wen't crazyyy that season he scored like every game for a while. Keep dose coming tho. God bless you man !
Appreciate you family thank you
What happen to vardu? Where he is?

@@dunsonhouse Noo this video was crap there is a better video đđ
mahrez won player of the year
As someone who lived in Leicester at the time it was such an amazing time to be in
Leicester were 5000/1 to win the league and someone put a pound on them to win it but cashed out a few weeks before .
Appreciate the comment family
@@dunsonhouse american odds is +500000 fcking crazy. not +200 +300 but +500000 lmao
The key to their success & not 1 clip highlighting Ngolo Kante's role in the Title win .... Criminal
Appreciate the comment
I don't think this was the best video to show how epic this actually was, from almost being relegated one season to winning the league the next when no one gave them a snowballs change on a summers day to winning.
Totally agree. It lacks some excitement and tension along the way and uses too many seconds on things that don't matter like many clips of Ranieri at the same time.
He wasnt mentioned in the video but big part of that team's success was Kanté (you guys reacted to him not long ago)
Appreciate the comment
Mahrez and vardy
sky bet is second tier of English football there are like 15 tiers and anyone can go to the premier league (which is tier 1) from a semi pro team to an professional team. btw this is one of the greatest moments In football ever no questions
Pro/rel usa
This is the greatest underdog story in sports history. 5000 to 1 odds to win it. Special year!
That's how biased the English media is, once you're not English you're not appreciated which is very disheartening
Biggest underdog story of allllllll time by far. This is like a high school team winning the NBA championship.
Btw it was championship ( English div2) and won Premiere League (English div1)
5000/1 odds shut down casinos... Kim Kardashian has better odds to become president..
I absolutely was thrilled for them. Nothing better than a team that bust through the season on all cylinders, dispite any outside noise, and holds that hardware over all the naysayers.
Take this L biattchh! Haha
Itâs not that drastic. Maybe a college team like Duke or Kentucky winning the NBA. Or the Sacremento Kings.
@@ernieb8490 It kind of is though, because the NBA is fairly balanced, at least much more than the EPL. The bottom half of the table is like NCAA and they were generally a champions division team until they made (and struggled) to stay in.. but yeah I can see that comparison as well. I wonder what the odds would be like for Duke to win out in the NBA. Gotta be at least 3000/1 maybe more... What are the odds for the worst team in the NBA? That would give you some sort of idea
@@_Jake.From.Statefarm_ and there are many divisions and teams below that is still professional football, high school basketball Iâm sure is not classed as professional, itâs not the same itâs not even close
And to be fair it was a shit season all the big teams flopped even spurs finished 2nd lol but ay I ainât doing shit so Iâm not hating on em fair play just saying lol
@@phudoraps3374 I'm well aware of that but there aren't tons of pro basketball leagues. I could have said NCAA, but I don't think the higher end teams year in and year out really represented my point. It's obviously not supposed to be a direct comparison. Not everything in life needs to be disected under a microscope. I got my point across. Haha, yeah it was a crazy year.
Kante played for them also. And was a pivotal signing. Chelsea bought him the next year and won the premiership
Jamie vardy was a plumber I believe and got back into football like at 27 years old or something, heâs definitely a underdog story just by himself. He broke the record of most consecutive goals in back to back games
nah he wonât a plumber he worked in like a prosthetic leg factory
@@user-qr5il4rs9h mixed him up with Connor mcgregor lol
He worked in a factory that made false limbs. He was still playing football but at a semi pro level until he went to Leicester for ÂŁ1m in 2012
Jamie Vardy, the late bloomer player. that season was insane, he scored in every games.
That's basically like a G-League team getting promoted to the NBA and winning it in their 2nd season
That Leicester team was legendary. I remember that season, everyone was like they will lose this week⊠and they just kept winning.
To get a full perspective of just how enormous this achievement was in the world of sports and not just football, youâll probably have to watch the NBC documentary of their title winning season. This might be the greatest achievement a sports team ever accomplished. Up until the final weeks they were still expected to faultier, they were still expected to fall to the big teams, they were still doubted, yet they proved everyone wrong. Itâs definitely the biggest ever underdog story at the least.
The "SKY bet" Championship is the division BELOW the Prem, so when they won it they got promoted to the Prem
Appreciate the comment
when they made it to the premier league, they almost got relegated again, and somehow just survived. Thats what makes this story so special
You have 4 professional divisions in English football sitting above the amateur leagues, div 2, div 1, the Championship and finally the Premier league and 2 main cup competitions. the league cup only available to the professional divisions and the FA cup open to any team through a serious of rounds. On top of this those that have qualified the previous season also play European teams in one of 3 competitions. I am a season ticket holder for Leicester and watched the promotion, survival season and then winning the Prem, the atmosphere during those games was amazing, never seen anything like it before or since.

That was Al Pacinos speech from Friday night Lights
This was my recommendation! Thanks for watching
This team and story was crazy
I love how they added Al Pacino speech
One of the best football story.
pretty much nailed it. skybet championship is the league below the premier league. this is the best edit as it starts right from the beginning with leicester

@@dunsonhouse your welcome guys
Long story shortâŠ.Leicester were what you called a yo-yo team, relegation then promotion etcâŠnever really a small team. But they missed out on promotion and then the next year won promotion back into the premier league. Their first season back up they just about stayed in the league, their 2nd year back in the premier league they won it!! Craziest story I know in sport! Fun fact that you missedâŠ.the main man kante was in that team too. Not long after Chelsea bought him.
The best sporting story EVER
Yasss I was waiting for this
Appreciate the comment
When you said "it made you feel like you was there" at the end... its a great video but there are just no words to describe how it felt to us Leicester fans with all the context and all the pain that came before it and just watching every match, week by week and watching them lift the trophy and win the hardest league on earth... just the buzz around the city back then and everything, omd! Unlike anything I've ever witnessed before đŠđ
The English football league is a pyramid structure.
EPL (English Premiere League) = the Top of the pyramid.
Championship
League One
League Two
The National League.
There are another 5 tiers below those but they aren't really relevant, you basically get the idea from the above.
All the leagues have a system of relegation where the 3 teams at the end of season with the lowest points total are sent down to the league below, they are then replaced with the top 3 teams from that below league (promotion) This ensures that games always matter because the money on the line is absolutely mental. Getting promoted to the premier league is worth over 170 million in revenue over the next 2 years.
It hard to even fathom just how insane them winning the premier league title was, it just doesn't happen they had a team of players that had been rejects from other bigger teams, under performers and somehow found 3 players that were insanely underrated in Vardy (who played his way up from none professional all the way to the premier league over just a few years) N'Golo Kanté who they bought for just 5.6 million from the French league and Riyad Mahrez from the french 2nd division for just £450,000.
It still gives me chills just thinking about it. They were literally 5000/1 to win at the start of the season, i put ÂŁ20 at Christmas the year they won and even then it was still 70/1 for them to win :D.
You must remember there's no player draft in the English football system, money talks, no salary caps. So teams like Manchester City can spend more on 1 player than the cost of other teams entire squads.
Vardy, Kanté and mahrez was a big part of the reason they won the league that season. You should react to Jamie vardy 2015/16 all goals from that season
Here's another known fact.
One guy in the UK put ÂŁ4 bet on the 5000 - 1 Odds for Leicester to win the premier league that year they won it, his Payout was ÂŁ20004.
He did it for a laugh but stated that it was his last bit of money at the time and didn't realise he had a winning bet. That's also a crazy story too.
The magic thing about all this is that most of these players were really nobodies before that season. Mahrez came from an unkown team, Kanté came as an average signing from an average french team, Vardy was already a bit old (29 years old) and was never a standout player, he played in no league teams while working in a factory until later in his career. Vardy, Kanté and Mahrez all became monsters after that season, showing they weren't one season wonders. All the others could be considered quite average players too... And to think Leicester managed to keep fighting against the giants in the next seasons too just shows how they managed to maximize everything they've got from their title campaign, becoming one of the best teams in England even nowadays.
i think the best way to describe the 2015/16 prem season (leicester winning) is like a sylvester stallone movie... one of those sporting dream moments... i truly feel like we will never see this again in sport
The video was kinda all over the place , didn't even explain things well...they came up to the Premier League and were trying to stay and not be relegated to 2ns division again at end of season, the new coach Ranieri wanted to get at least 40 points in the league to mantain them selves in the Premier League and ended up winning it. They participated in Champions League as a result from that..didn't win it though.. Chelsea player N'Golo Kante was there at the time too..you should check out his story and Jamie Vardie's story..the last still plays for Leicester City..if you want i can look for videos and send the links.
There is a HUGE game today 4/16/22 @930AM CST.
Liverpool vs Manchester City in the semi final of the FA CUP. Game will be on ESPN if interested!! I enjoy every video. đ

Not only is Leicester City winning the Prem at 5000/1 but Jamie Vardy who scored an insane amount of goals, he was averaging more than 1 goal per game for probably half a season, he came from the lower leagues, 2-3 leagues below the Prem at what would be considered an older age than normal. Went from earning prob 1-2k per week to prob 100k per week and winning the Prem title. There will never be another underdog story quite like this one for the rest of my lifetime.
Also as a side note, my team Hull City were clear of relegation by quite a few points, Leicester's unbelievable run meant we ended up getting relegated and I honestly can't even be mad.
That was Al Pacino in that voice over and it was from Any Given Sunday
would be nice if you guys could react to a more detailed video of this story because this video essentially glosses over alot that makes the story so crazy

Premier League

League one
League two
Those are the main tiers of English football Leicester were league one/ championship for a while before they got to the premier League
The Championship is the first league below the Premier League

This vid doesn't do justice to this feat. Truly as a fan of arsenal this is the biggest most unbelievable underdog story in history. Bar none
Sky bet are the sponsor of the 3 divisions below the Premier league.
The championship,
League one
And league two
Before that it was Npower and before that it coca cola. For context Leicester were in league 1 in 2008/09. League 1 is very competitive, my team Charlton are an ex premier league side and we are stuck here, along with 7 other ex Premier league clubs, it's difficult
I remember very clearly being in a bar in Malaga, Spain in January 2015, there was a Leicester game on the TV..... They were losing.
The other team scored again.
I said "ouch" under my breath, thinking "they're going down...."
A voice behind me said
"At least we're the best team .... In Leicester!"
We spent about 30 minutes discussing their chances of staying up.....
I thought about that conversation every time they won in 2016, I bet that guy couldn't believe it.
I just hope he had ÂŁ10 on them at 5000:1!
Kante was the backbone of that wonderful squad.
I live literally a mile from Leicester Citys stadium, it was an absolutely mindblowing season. It wasnt just unexpected... this kind of thing simply does not happen. Has never happened before. And we didn't just squeak through to win... we won by ten clear points. I still get goosebumps watching. You need to find a story of the season video too, just to see how the season went down.
Didn't chelsea sort of helped leichester to win the league in the game against spurs?
@@H3adx it was round 36. Spurs had to draw or beat Chelsea to keep their title fight alive. But at that point there were two games left, and after round 35, Leicester were 7 points clear at the top of the table. So yes, the result that gave Leicester the title was Chelsea beating Spurs, but Leicester won the league by 10 clear points in the end.
They won the premier league btw and they also qualified for the champions league thatâs why the coach was saying we going to the Champions league
He wasn't giving him a kiss that's for sure

Also, the sky bet championship is no little league..... In terms of spectators it's the 5th largest league in Europe and the biggest and most competitive non top division in the world, also the play off final (which you should react to, there is a video with loads of previous playoff finals) is the richest prize in club football, anywhere.
If you want to watch entertaining football match. It is the right time tune in to FA Cup semifinal between Man City vs Liverpool right now
Honestly if you get the time to, I would love to see a video about Hakim Ziyech. He is a great talented player
Kante and Mahrez the biggest stars from that Leicester team.
What they did was a dream
the skybet championship is the league directly below the prem, so if they win it they go up into the prem. the worst teams in the prem get relegated to the skybet championship
A sporting story like Leicester winning the Premier League will not happen again in our lifetime.
In the Premier League if u finish in the Bottom 3 u get Relegated to Skybet Championship

This is not a good video it didn't really capture the essence of the roller coaster Leicester went through to win the League.
yeah it didn't show Tottenham vs chelsea the league deciding game
@@bonaventuretindin8494 It didn't show any data. Somebody that doesn't know the sport would think that 1 year they were down. And the next just non stop Mahrez and Vardy domination. Not even a clip of Kante who made this video.
While their story is something you both cant fully understand cause you dont have this piramid style in sports in the usa ,theres a better video on this,i think its around 20 or something minutes .also PREMIER LEAGUE (top level of football) > Championship (2nd level) > League One (3rd) >League2(4th) and theres lower ones but dont know their name.Their story is something i cand see in the USA in any team based sports. 5000/1 odds think about that, even for the most deluded fans of the teams fighting to avoid relegation like them the ideea of winning the Premier League (top english championship) is something unreal. The US winning the World Cup is less unrealistic(never gonna happen in the next decades ) than what they've done. This was something that if it happens while you are alive remember it cause you might not see another one ever again.
It is a lower league
There was a better video bros
Great story, great reaction as usual, but, awful video, there's better that tell the story
