The people from Ethiopia holding a rock concert for the dude's town is not a local joke, its quite obvious. Western countries always have rock concerts to raise money for poverty stricken countries in African including Ethiopia,. so them holding a rock concert for that town just shows how dire their situation is. I suggest you watch Frankie's Michael Jackson's Childrens Hospital. Frankie is as dark as dark humour gets, and its brilliant!

A great reaction guys. There is a basic rule to remember when listening to British comics roasting towns & teams. They are either calling them posh snobs, impoverished with no money, or inbred. As to Frankie's set. This is what he does when he finishes a few prepped jokes & pieces, & needs something to do before he starts the next set. Also you being on the front row doesn't matter at all. If you catch his eye for any reason you will be targeted. Whatever row you are on.
Hope everyone is having an amazing week & much love to all from here in the UK

      It isn't allowed at all
The UK doesn't have much free speech left at this point
America has a lot more of it
We can diss each other when Americans struggle with that, but Americans shoot eachothed over the types of disses we use...

I think the UK swears alot by default, so it doesn't come across as super offensive when there is more of a mental barrier to being made fun of. The vast majority also know what to expect at these shows. I think the age restriction is 16 yrs. Alot of clip compilations may be harsher content for views by uploaders though, especially when compared to his output on quiz shows such as Mock the Week.

Back in 1980s people thought it was a good idea to raise money for Africa (particularly places like Ethiopia) by holding music concerts like Live Aid or in the US's case making that song "We Are The World" with all the all-star cast of singers. The joke is Kirkcaldy is more impoverished than Ethiopia.
