When the British public watch Frankie Boyle we wait in anticipation, excitement and trepidation waiting for him to step over the line
I totally utterly disagree.
I'd expect what you say from Americans trying to shock.
Frankie is cleverer and more natural and just tearing holes through the utter bullshit and take bastards.

You see that last round of "Mock The Week" and Frankie's on you brace for impact. You laugh at the darkest stuff and he just looks at you like, "Hey, don't blame me! You're laughing at it."
And this is the stuff they COULD broadcast, trust me, this is nothing compared to what he says that gets cut.
I’m Scot’s in England and all of the clips for frankie Boyle are already on CZcams ….why would you think itl get banned ,also I agree some of the 9/11 stuff is a bit close but I don’t think you have grasped what Scot’s humour is actually like ,watch either burnistoun or chewin the fat and any Scot’s being Scot’s TikTok clips mate
@@rogue1968 I'm from Ayrshire. Trust me, you don't know dark humour until you're in a graveyard burying one of your own family and the jokes start. Most common jokes are about incest and cannibalism- The Irvine Valley has a "history".
This was Frankie's more tame stuff on Mock.Wait till you hear his proper brutal jokes that got him removed from the show,or rather 1 joke in particular about a haunting.
My favourite joke ever. And what made it funnier was it was discussed and repeated on the evening news by Emily Maitlis (and some TV executive) with the sternest looks of consternation.

Whose Line Is It Anyway was originally on British TV (in the late 80s / early 90s) before going to America. Ryan Stiles, Colin Mocherie and Greg Proops were on that too.
You are correct about it being similar to Whose Line as it was created by the same person, who to the British show to the US, then came back to the UK to make Mock the Week.
Mock the week is well worth watching, especially the older ones before all the language softening started happening, first couple series were excellent, we don't have as much back and forth or camaraderie
anymore because they swap the "contestants" out so much, newer ones are still worth it if you got some time to kill though ✌🤪🤘

Mock the Week was by the same guys who made Whose Line Is It Anyway? in the first place, that's why Scenes We'd Like To See is basically Scenes From A Hat, which also started here in the UK as well, on Channel 4, if I'm not mistaken, with Clive Anderson, a former barister hosting! They had Greg Proops on that version as well and Mock The Week, at one point having a go at the American dating system of Month/Day/Year, when everyone else goes Day/Month/Year! He's also Scotish, is Frankie, same as Andy Murray!
