    Believe it or not but Frankie has watered down his Glaswegian accent big time so that people other than natives of Glasgow have a chance of deciphering our broad accent. Still he's funny af.

    Frankie's accent is like most of the central Scotland Irish imigrant population mostly from County Donegal, which is distinct from the rest of Scotland (myself included) and can be harder to understand as we have our own peculiar way of pronouncing some words. Examples of this are seen in the pronunciation of the words stair ("sterr"), hair ("herr"), fair ("ferr") and chair ("cherr")

    Funny the way you pronounce Scousers.

    The problem with our Scottish accent is that we talk very fast so I say to all Americans who'd like to understand us - think faster !

    I live 25 miles from the Scottish border, the higher into Scotland you go the more the dialect increases ..I cant understand them if they are broad Scottish and they cant understand my Cumbrian accent too 🤣

      . . . Interesting comment from a. n. other, ‘marra’. Your comment is correct … until you arrive in the Highlands. And, then it goes the other way-?.. Must have something to do with all of those immigrant English, me think’s?..

      @@joeymuch7415Tbf, I loved it, but his original humour style did get him blacklisted from a lot of income opportunities. I don't blame him toning it down to pay the bills.

    • @Tayloradrift
      @Tayloradrift Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@gamefreakforlife The point is that he gets away with his hard comedy because he's a darling of the woke left. Other comedians are slated for making fun of the same issue. I.e Trans men/women. When Ricky Gervais made humour out of the trans issue the Woke media jumped onto him. Good old Frankie though...
