21:38 THAT is a KILLER pass, that is so hard to pull off with the outside of the foot, the curve is easy with the outside, but the right balance of power and spin is really technical, to play that pass, at that point, the defender does not expect it and its almost on the down part of his step, (at a point its almost impossible to kick it). its so hard to do, that fluid and get the ball that perfect to a team mate to run onto...That is the type of goal that the more you watch and the more you play the more you understand and appreciate how tough that pass was (I think you need to play really to understand just how tough it is) Ozil made it look so easy too which hides how crazy it is

Ozil is known for his one of his own styles of passing, where most players would kick the ball from under it to flick it up or get the ball in the air, in certain situations Ozil will kick the ball from the top and into the ground to get it to bounce up and over defender's legs or the goalkeeper, you see it in some of these but its hard to pick out if you don't know the different techniques

Kevin de Bruyne is the more complete player. Elite shooting and passing, perfect for the modern game where playmakers are expected to score on top of getting assists. But before KDB, playmakers were solely expected to get assists, and Ozil was by far the best at that. Ozil's passing and vision is unmatched, so as a pure playmaker Ozil is best. CR7 himself said that Ozil was the best playmaker he's ever played with. Said that Ozil always knew where he was. That's why he kept making runs, cause he knows Ozil would always find him somehow. Unfortunately this video didn't really showcase his best passes & assists. Btw, Ozil & KDB played in the Premier League at the same time. Ozil for Arsenal & KDB for Manchester City. Seeing them battle it out in Europe's best league was fantastic. They're both approaching the end of their careers (KDB age 30, Ozil age 33), but their quality is taught in football academies as the ideal attacking midfielder (playmaker).

Özil was at his best from his early til mid 20s. I really feel like Arsenal betrayed him. He fought for human rights in China and they kept him out of the squad because of sponsors over there.
Germany too. He also once said: “when we win as a country I am German, but when we loose I’m Turkish.”
He often get blamed a lot because he is lazy in defense but that’s because when he has some extra power he can create a lot for the team. Same as Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, Mbappe and Hazard. They are lazy in defense but the thing is, they are allowed to be…

    • @onoz11
      @onoz11 Před 2 lety +4

Arsenal don't have any Chinese sponsors and Ozil was out of the team long before he spoke out about the human rights abuses. Ultimately I just think he wasn't a good fit for Arsenal. Wenger's defence was too weak to let a player not contribute defensively. Emery and Arteta's styles were too intense for his work ethic. I think he could've done a lot more if he was at the right club.

It's really up to the receiver of the pass to follow where the ball is going. If Mesut in the moment thinks that the best position for his teammate to get to the ball is in the air with his head, then he lifts it up and then the teammate needs to jump. BTW. It's called a header when they shoot with their head.

Also another skill you guys can watch out for is someone's first touch, it may look easy from all the highlights, but having a good first touch when someone kicking it towards you with power, or like when its coming down from a long range pass in the air, its a very hard skill to master cuz them kinda balls can literally bounce anywhere depending on your touch, you have to be very good to kill the power just as much as needed and also keep it going in the right direction you want it to go, while also having the pressure of players running towards you or trying to get that ball at the same time

Yo, yo! Yo, yo! Yo! YO!!! Speaking of passing... Try reacting to Cesc Fabregas, one of the most skilled "assisters" of all time. He's a legend in the Premier League. He played for Arsenal, Barcelona and then for Chelsea and altogether regardless of the rivalry between these clubs, the fans absolutely adored him wherever he played. He's had an amazing career. I remember he used to say he would rather get a wondrous assist than a personal goal. Totally worth the time. Keep up the great work!

Dude... "Greatest midfielder to ever play the game"? You dont thin thats a little overexaggerated? He doesnt even win the comparison with KdB. Do i have to mention the likes of Zidane, Xavi, Iniesta, Riquelme, Laudrup, Kaka, Rivaldo, Pirlo, Scholes, Gerard, Lampard, Matthäus, Platini, Sneijder... And that was just what came of the top of my head.
Özil is not evem top 10 greatest midfielder of all time.

14:35 His biggest flaw is his will to work hard. When he played at Arsenal he used fall out with coaches because he wasn't coming to training on time, wasn't working hard on the pitch, but when he felt like playing, he could always be the best player on the pitch by a mile.
For example, the current Arsenal coach forces players to run and press opponents all game, leave their all on the field and Ozil just doesn't do that. He'll come on when he feels like it and play however he feels like playing. That's why Arsenal sold him. But his ability is second to none, to this day.

  • @oskardmaco-guillen8197

11:40 Özil sees everything before it happens, that it his best attribute, he is just always a step ahead and therefore sees spaces open up before they are even there... the rest is just training for his teammates, because they know that whenever they get free Özil will be able to find them

  • @jacksmith4460

Yeh good passers will "Lead" their team mate, so he will set up a header, or set up a sliding chance with his pass or play a pass for a player to run onto, KDB does the same thing, when you get a great passer in a good team hitting those areas, you get lots of great goals

Ronaldo early in his career started by playing left mid for Manchester but over the year he’s moved to being left wing and striker in recent years because as u get older and lose quickness and stamina it would hard to play in midfield. He’s very smart and even at the age of almost 37 he’s very quick. He clocked over 32 km/h against Westham United. So currently he’s striker but he’s also a been very creative lately as well. He’s the goat. Just doesn’t have media PR.

Quality start now with the information about the players :D
Özil was prolly one of Ronaldos best lieutenants, with Benzema and maybe de maria? So goood, in a young age, comming from Germany and took the Champions league with storm, also the VM 2010 i think.. When he transfered from Real madrid things whent slowly downhill. He dropped form in Arsenal, and had a fallout with the club so they wouldnt play him or sell him i believe. Transfered to turkish team ferner, cause of his inheritage i think. Love watching him play!

Yeah when you're crossing the ball or playing a through ball you want to play the ball in the path or infront of the player (the space behind the defenders) between the back 4 or 3 depending on the formation and not to far were the goalie can come out and win it. Takes class to be constant with it 💯

09:40 what Özil does there is an incredibly hard skill. He chips the keeper by putting so much weight on the ball, that it bounces off the ground and over the keepers body, who thinks he will go for a normal shot because of the way his foot is set up - he's almost the only player I have seen doing that

A shot or goal with your head is called a header, and yeah they do aim for heads with passes which is a reason why a lot of teams go for taller strikers to be able to beat defenders for headers.

    It's a HEADER.
As for the crosses it depends on the player but it's basically 50/50 between actually trying to pick someone out and just putting it in a dangerous are you know your team will be moving towards. Nothing better than a sick cross.
