What non-sense? where is the question of courage here? Government has its own ideas that they want to implement and they have the power to do so. Just listen to Rajan and that is what he is saying. It is the congress in 1974 that over-rode the RBI. Some one doesn't like the government doesn't mean he has spine and someone goes with the government doesn't mean he is a puppet. As Rajan said in the interview the government created RBI because government has no confidence in itself. In a similar way government created few independent institutions for checks and balances. Election commission of India is one of them. They are free to do what they want.

What is really wrong with demonetization? should India go towards cash less economy or not? will it improves total tax collection or not? how much money is involved in real estate? what is the actual money paid to buy a plot and the tax paid? Is GST good for India? how about river linking project? do you know the NDA leader Chandra Babu has achieved this feat of linking Godavari with Krishna? take some responsibility. Dr Raghuram Rajan is quite objective in his analysis of demonetization. It had impacted the economy negatively by reducing the GDP growth and resulting in loss of jobs and people dying as a result of remaining in uncomfortable lines for huge length of time. The architect of demonetization do not have any remorse even now and the powers that be are defending the horrible move brazenly by undesirable and unsubstantiated polemics. The Pradhan Sevak need to apologies to the nation. Had it been a developed western democracy there would have been a huge uproar for putting the papers of the present dispensation but in our country shameless people put brave faces and defend the indefensible disgracefully which is the hallmark of this regime.
'I never resigned, my term came to an end, I left,' Rajan's aversion to drama is so apparent with this statement, he refuses to play victim.
That too in a situation where he had some legitimate claim to victimhood with his patriotism questioned and what not.

Rajdeep was so insecure all through the interview. He was jumping to specifics of today's govt when rajan was mentioning something in generality. And look at his joy when rajan acknowledged the bad timing of demonetization. He loves to see the current govt going down, even if it costs India. A fine display of bigotry and hypocrisy.

Every govt has the right to appoint their trust worthy people, but here Rajan is not ousted but once his term ended govt don't extended his term for another two years ( HERE HE CONFIRMS THAT ALSO). Before Rajan how many Reserve bank governor got two times , None , as far as i know. ( BEFORE THIS RAJAN RESERVE BANK WAS THERE , NOW AFTER HIM ALSO RESERVE BANK WILL CONTINUE) . then what is new about this case ?? nothing but a campaign against Govt RAJDEEP, BURKHA,SERKHAR GUPTA, SAGARIKA , NDTV , GANG.Any effect ?? nothing , but Rajan could sell more copies of his book , as some readers may anxious to know anything there.

I counter this argument with below points
1. So some money sitting in a basement means someone is holding it illegally.. how will you make it come out without demo?
2. Now since RBI has to pay tax to illegitimate money they will force IT DEPT to probe how a individual acquired that money , as opposed to before demo no agency having rights to do a Raid without probable cause
3. The money that comes into bank now can be multipled 10 times based on fractional reserve banking.. thus improving rupee value and economy.. as opposed to before demo , u can’t create money since no money comes through bank..
