  • Shaun of the Dead was a smash hit in 2004! It introduced the world to Edgar Wright, Nick Frost, and Simon Pegg. It was also the beginning of the Cornetto Trilogy. I got together with Tom and Angela to see how the movie holds up 20 years later. Is it still one of the best horror comedies and zombie movies ever? Watch and find out!

I love how they recreate Shaun's boring morning routine with the zombie aftermath flair to a T. And how every normal extra at the beginning of the movie became a zombie later on.

You can hear a car crash in the background during the scene of Shaun talking to his mum in her kitchen. Idk if that was Ed crashing the car they were in or just a random glass break from somewhere.

Great, great, GREAT flick! One of my all time favorites in both comedy and horror! As much as I still enjoy that episode, I kinda wish you hadn't done the 2004 Dawn remake because that would have been a great one-two punch of 2 great zombie films. Maybe there can be a new series where you recover older HTM episodes from when the show first kicked off post-2019 like DOTD, Armageddon, or House on Haunted Hill.

As a huge Dawn of the Dead fan, I’d heard of Shaun of the Dead leading up to its US release and was pretty stoked to see it. I wanna say I skipped out on one of my classes at Rutgers to go see it at the Manville Theater. Worth it! 😅
Just saw it again recently at a theater down here in Florida and it absolutely still holds up. Brilliant send up of the Living Dead sub-genre, but it (and its creators) wears its love for all things George A. Romero on its sleeve….and I gotta give it up for that. ❤

I'm pretty sure the missing cats weren't the cause of the zombie outbreak. They're an effect and early warning sign of it. The zombie were eating them, hence the missing posters and also why the posters were ripped up later. The zombies thought the picture were real cats, so they tried to eat them, too. Edgar Wright truly is a genius. One could go straight up Charlie Day board of pictures and string meme insane trying to find a single thing in his movies that isn't a setup or payoff or a info given through little background details like this instead of just given through ham-fisted dialog like a lot of movies do... 😵‍💫🤯😆
