    The only obvious flaw with this bike is the low amp battery. They could easily offer a higher amp replacement but that’s only in other models which I presume they want to entice you to buy.
    I would use a Datex2 adaptor and either add a battery, giving you the option of a 20ah (or more) hailong battery on the rear rack (with the same gross weight and better handling) or a combined 34.5ah from both batteries with the added weight of about 5-6kg which will give you more range than you’ll need, but make the bike a little less lighter to steer, it all depends on your needs and preference but you do have options.
    The battery lets the bike down and brings it below other cheaper market offerings.

    Great review, one of the reviews I saw which helped me decide to buy Cyrusher, then because of my height I ended up buying the Cyrusher Kuattro, I really wanted the Kommoda and bought one for my Wife, I'm around 6ft 3" and wanted your opinion (or anyone else who has one) on whether I would be squashed on this bike or the seat would be really high if I rode the Kommoda. Thanks.

    Really appreciated the report on watts used in the various PAS levels on the hill you were pedaling up. This looks like a fantastic ebike all around. The only issue I could find is the PAS levels are not customizable so you are stuck with the factory's power output settings which for me would be a deal breaker.

      When we test ebikes we ride with a GPS app to double check them, and I would say most are really close if not spot on. And even the ebikes we find that aren’t, tend to have a wrong setting in the advanced settings for wheel size or something similar. So simple error and easy adjustment. -JT

  • @ahisma

    Just took delivery of my new Kommoda yesterday and got an unpleasant surprise! They have now downgraded the hub output to just 250 watt and also placed a speed reduction to limit it to 15 mph to bring it into line with UK legislation for street bikes.
    They also include a thumb throttle kit for you to fit and they say that for users wanting to remove the restrictions for off road use, etc, they have introduced a video guide showing how to do it.
    I contacted customer care and asked where the video was - this was obviously a new idea to them and eventually they gave up and asked me to submit a ticket for technical help - this I did and received an acknowledment but that was it! Nothing more heard!
    So if I haven't heard any more from them by tommorow it's going back = all the fuss about the powerful motor and then they deliver a 250 watt - not good!

    • @jamescorrigan2777
      @jamescorrigan2777 Před rokem

      It is restricted for U.K. use but is adjustable to 750 watt for off road use. It involves separating a black plug with two white wires on the controller so a pain if you need to change it back.

    • @Stescaff
      @Stescaff Před rokem +8

      If you look at the cyrusher CZcams channel there is a video showing you how to do it . The 250 watt marking on the motor is good if the police stop you as 750 is illegal on Uk roads. It is easy to do just unscrew a nut underneath the battery and unplug a small connector, done . You now have a 750 watt bike.

      More bang for the buck, but not more bang for the components in my opinion. They are also quite different. No rear suspension on the FreeGo. The Cyrusher is also much more of a cruiser and a relaxing bike. You don't have to watch your nards due to the step thru design. I'm paying the extra money and getting the Kommoda. For about $900 more, I prefer the Kommoda. But the FreeGo is faster, so if that what you want, then so be it.

    • @EbikeEscape
      @EbikeEscape  Před rokem +1

      I think the issue is not getting the actual seat mounted. It would be a problem with getting in the way while pedaling. As low a s the kids seat would sit your heels would most likely come in contact with the kids seat frequently.
      There are quite a few companies that make ebikes with single kid seat accessibility. That I would recommend maybe looking into the Blix Ultra or a RadRunner even. -JT

      @@EbikeEscape That's 50 times you have got no idea. It is not necessary to turn the pedals as fast as possible in PA. You simply ghost pedal and it maintains the speed. GET IT.
      I travel for miles on PA with my pedalling as slow as possible.ghosting just to maintain the PA mode. No change in speed. It's simply a power setting that engages when the pedals turn.
      The speed in which they turn is irrelevant as long as they are turning. TRY IT Saves a lot of vital energy.
