woohoo another bike nerd! i used to do a lot of MTB and BMX riding as was a full-time coach for around 6 years. A chronic health condition has now got the better of me which is why i have got into the wonderful hobby of RC. I do however have a bike still, and it's an e-mtb. Without the pedal assist i wouldn't be able to ride at all, i think they are amazing machines so it's great to see you having a good time on one and spreading the good word of cycling :)
I’ve got a back injury I sustained back in 2002 and a groin injury from 2015… so cycling is not as enjoyable for me as it used to be. This certainly makes it more enjoyable
I love my e-bike! They really help to get people of all fitness levels out and riding. Especially useful for commuters who do not want to get to the office looking like they ran a marathon at the equator.
Yes, you still have to do a bit of work, so certainly gets your heart rate up a little

That is what makes e-bikes so great! Hills are no longer a barrier for overweight, over-the-hill, sedentary schmucks like me. 😉
I can get some reasonably "intense" exercise and not actually die at the end.
I use bicycles for as many local trips as I can, but fear of theft is the biggest limiting factor for me.
I got myself an Ebike last year & other than my RCs it's been the best thing I ever bought myself.!
I've fitted a rack on the back & I can fit 2 RCs on it.
Btw.. That "legal" thing isn't very stricly followed by a lot of online sellers... Mines a Gogobest twin 500 watt motor & it'll do 35 mph on the throttle only even with my 18 stone lard arse on it.!
It's got a 17.5 battery & even living in the Scottish Highlands it'll get me at least 25 miles (furthest I've gone, got home with 1 bar of battery)
Granted, it's not exactly the highest quality but I got it knowing that & I'm not bothered about upgrading as I go.

Yes, the amount of people flying around on scooters in this city tells me the ‘law’ don’t really give a toss. 35mph must be pretty scary at times haha

I'm disabled and have been riding ebikes for about 20 years had a few different ones have a fat boy 3 wheeler ATM. That looks like a pretty cool bike a lockable box on the back would be good like the display hope you enjoy it e bikes are relaxing to ride.

I ride an ebike everyday. Even take my kids on the back. 20 miles per battery can get anywhere in town. I installed shinko 244s changed the bike completely. 16" motor cycle is 20" bicycle

To make his e bike harder to steal, my friend just selected hardest gear, and disabled electrics. Standing start on something that heavy is difficult.
Im considering an ebike one day. Would be perfect for all the mini adventures i have got planned. Primarily RC adventures. Lol.

Pickup the joyor s10 e scooter!! It's amazing. I stopped buying rcs recently and last 2 years I've bought half dozen scooters and have switched it up a bit
I'm in the usa so it's not as COOL" to ride these. However I'm a 42 year old who plays rcs so I just do what makes me happy!

as a bicycle mechanic i must warn you that "just putting on the front wheel, the handle bar and the saddle" may get you going but doesn't really mean the bike is securely put together :)
this bike could have been put together on a friday evening or early monday by someone who was in a rush.
i'd recommend to check every single nut and bolt that are prone to coming loose to prevent a vital accident caused by something small.

to add to it, it'd be funny if you added a bicycle trailer to carry even more RC's or for the sake of properly carrying an RC car🤣

We’ve got slot in common. I used to race Bmx love to play with my rc cars and just got a new e bike which is a blast. Oh yea we’re also tremendously handsome as well. !!!

The Homermobile of E Bikes
Who needs 2 wheels when 1 is enough. I love the EUC life, only a single wheel between my legs. It takes up very little space.
Bikes are great in the UK but not not so much where I live.

Haha… it’s pretty steep! I’ve ridden up it at least twice in a normal bike, they could do with supplying oxygen and a massage half way up 😅

Hi Phil, excellent review! Love our E mountain bikes but my wife is only 5ft tall & has back/hip mobility issues so even a small MTB is a struggle for her. Is there a weight specified anywhere, with & without battery? Or have you got some scales you could put it on? Cheers, all the best.
Yeah it’s a little on the heavy side. But I didn’t find it unstable apart from on some of the tougher terrain whilst riding 1 handed 😅
@@TomleyRC Thanks for that. I currently put both our bikes on a car roof rack, minus front wheels & battery. They’re pretty decent & light analogue bikes self converted to crank motor electric. Weight is around 17kg ready to lift onto the roof.

Had my first proper go on a rental ebike a few weeks ago and being able to do 42 miles and well over 1000m in vert mostly off road without gassing out has sold me on them.
Would love to see a video on the Croix de Fer too, I've previously stuck my WL Toys in my paniers to go to spots, still can't work out how to mount an RC plane to a bike though
Just strap it to a backpack on the outside so there’s no vibration. Most backpacks have elastics there for a rain jacket anyway

I do mtb and used to race downhill mtb. And yeah I have road bikes. And I need to build up a steel frame fixie. Bike. I own so many bikes still I used to pick up free bikes and fix them and donate them to people who wanted a bike.
UK needs to change the laws, 15 mph's ridiculous at minimum 20mph would have been descent... beautiful bike though happy for you.. I want a awd Grizzly eventually though $$$

I work for Cruz electric bikes and the biggest feedback in general I've heard from customers is the speed limit. At the London cycle show last month so many visitors I talked to wanted the speed limit increased to 20mph so they could then keep up with London traffic. As I'm in charge of the technical side for this reason I might have accidentally included how to program the electrics from our 750w unrestricted bikes in the manual for the restricted bikes when I wrote it 😉

Interesting you mention the UK laws on e bikes, them delivered riders don't seem to pedal much so the bearings must be good on them bikes 😉🤣

I ride a carrera intercity disc 1 folding bike not electric it has hydraulic brakes 8 speed maxxis tyres it's my only transport and great to around on I've just bought a tamiya tt02 toyota gr86 kit only worried about the painting

Accidently set mine once to mph was totally confused until i saw the very small mph on the display lol
Don't understand the 25kph rule nearly every road in the city has a 30 speed limit, no problem on a straight road but uphill on narrow roads you still annoy cars lol

UK regulations limiting power on e-bikes might be able to be relaxed if it wasn't for arseholes.
Just the other day I saw a lad riding a Sur-Ron electric motorcross bike on the footpath on a main road. No helmet, but he did have a balaclava on to hide his face. Not content with riding on the footpath at 40mph, he decided the best way to ensure the safety of pedestrians was to contstantly do wheelies, for at least 50 metres at a time.

I love my E-MTB bike. I have also been working in a bike for the last 13 years and, Im sorry Phil, but i can not in good conscious recommend anything from Cyrusher. I dont sell cyrusher and i see more failers from them then any other cheap ebike company. Failures from frame failures to electronic failures to incompatible parts resulting injury. Ive even their batteries catching fire due to poor quality control. Now i m not going to try to promote a different to show bias but i would recommend that anyone looking to get an ebike should go to a bike shop and talk to them first. There are plenty on very nice ebike built to a higher standard of quality that wont break the bank.

E bikes are extremely pointless in my mind, typically costing 2-3 grand, Which is more than I paid for my dualsport motorcycle. Just buy a normal bike for a few hundred bucks and get some exercise while riding it.
