The graphics from the first version you showed off, are amazing. The effects, the reflective surfaces, everything about it looks so unique from everything else on the market, around that time. You cannot deny that the first version looks a lot better than the stuff we have now.
They should make it so that when you turn on "Screen Distortion" in the settings, it gives you the refracted saber handles. Also in the environment option where the only choice is "Glass Desert," they should put another one in called "OG" and it's the old platform
I liked the way the debris handled in the early days better too. I really wish they'd give us the option to control how the debris behaved, like whether it flew towards you, away from you, or lost all velocity when struck.

I haven't played beat saber since last summer and even in that short amount of time it's changed so much to the point it's a completely different game. It's crazy how much love the devs and modding community have for this game.
I started playing beat saber in March 2020, I can't remember which version it was back then, but the last two ones you showed looked familiar to me, I kinda remember the refractions on the sabers in the menu, it looked so much better than now tbh
That 0.13 update was so cool, especially the sabers (I use custom ones now though). The game just kept getting better and better until the more recent updates with the new menu. It's somewhat confusing, but as long as the base game is the same I'm happy.
I agree. However I do quite like the revamp of the newer menu which they added just a couple days ago and the menu music. I also love how the colours pop more, its a nice addition! Thanks for stopping by! 😁

We got a VR headset for Christmas and my parents downloaded a Bts pack on beat saber for me and I have reached the point where I think hard is too easy and now I play on expert!

Good memories. I first got a VR headset when i was 10 and subsequently bought Beat Saber. And now over 5 and a half years later it's still one of my favorites (The headset i bought when i was 10 was called the Lenovo Explorer. I now own a quest 2 and i must say that the Lenovo one was only good due to price)
Wow, this showed me how early I was to the games release. I played before expert+ was released and never knew that the game was that new when I first started playing!
Im not into gaming and watching gameplays but musical games got me hyped! I remember the announcement for Beat Saber coming out and I was so hyped even tho I dont have anything to play it on lol
I got my Rift S back in 2020 and this is one of the first games I played in VR because it is so popular. I'm glad I'm not the only one who dislikes this current environment. I had no idea there were others out there that dislike it too; I just don't like it. Like many others in the comments section have suggested, they should allow the player to have an option of choosing their environments to their liking. I would love to see that.
You can currently change the environment to which ever you would like, however if you meant Sabers, they did announce that they will be bringing new Sabers soon! Possibly even the older ones back! 👀
Dang. The older textures from like 1.9 or whatever were so good. The mods were amazing, no one was really GOOD some people were good for the time but compared to now they sucked. Good times. But you know what they say. Be glad that it happened. Not sad it’s over. The game is still really fun though.
im a relatively new player to BS, i joined the community around late november of 2020 iirc. its amazing to see the history and progression of it, especially compared to today (march 2021)

I think the glass desert environment is meant for 360/90 maps
