Most geometry dash players dont consider the game as a rhythm game, despite its description as such. The reason is because for a level to even be considered good in geometry dash it doesnt have to have sync. Many levels dont depend on inputs when music beats happen and it always pains me to see people call it rhythm based
So to sum things up it's a rhythm based platformer, not a rhythm game :D
plus, theres literally no bpm feature in the editor and the time frame to press an input is variable so its basically impossible to make a level thats accurate to the music
Sync or not it doesn't matter. If the gameplay or the decoration is trash, it will not getting rated.

I love how rhythm heaven is probably one of the most fun rhythm game but you put it in highly questionable only because you couldn’t start it lol
On emulator (with mouse) the flicks are a little finicky, but you can get the hang of it after a while.

The reviews were a little bias and if he has like 10 hours put into a game, The game will go to the "Absolute Masterpiece" but if he was bad at the game and hasn't played for long enough, It will go to the "Mid", The JSAB one are the bane of my existence.

ADOFAI is actually very fun when you learn it. The easy levels are pretty boring but the harder ones - bussin.
It's a common pattern for people to skip ahead some levels to realize how much they suck

The thing with Fnf is that you have to start with the base game which is pretty mid, while the game is good for its mods which are really fun

I can't take this tier list so serious honestly since the reviews were more like "If am bad, I don't like" instead of going a little more deeper and learning how the game works and If it does accimplish as a rhythm game.

Arcaea is one of my favourite rhythm games, but the grind is genuinely so terrible. World mode might just be one of the worst mechanics in all of rhythm games, and doing it takes a lot of effort, especially as a F2P player.
If you want to truly enjoy the game, you will have to cash in, since all the hard songs are in the song packs, which might deter a lot of people, but it’s definitely worth it.
If you’re willing to spend a few bucks, I’d say buy the main story packs first, especially ‘Vicious Labrynth’, ‘Luminous Sky’ and ‘Black Fate’ since they have the partners and tracks to unlock the hidden chapter, which imo have some of the best (or masochistic depending on how you look at it) charts in the game.

I mean I played it and it's definitely fun but there's little to no tapping to the beat, it's mainly a bullet hell game with music, it has a good selection of music but that's all it is, selecting music and bullet hell gameplay

Bro JSAB is a STORY game. And he only just got past the tutorial, he doesn't even know about the friends you make along the way, and the cool bossfights, and the- Yea he did say it was gonna be biased and just his opinion... but I really think he should maybe try to play more of the game someday.
FNF is mostly known for its mods and not by the game itself.
Like how Geometry Dash is mostly known for its community-made levels.
Most FNF mods are trash, like most of the levels of GDs recent tab, because of children attempting to be popular.
But there are also popular mods, most of them are mediocre tho.

just shapes and beats (jsab) is a really fun game if you like grinding (for the bonus songs) or like good story (story mode) or even a fun challenge (S ranking songs on hardcore) in my opinion you should get it another shot someday. you might like it.

i’d argue that ADOFAI is a bit underrated here. the game may not be beginner friendly, but that’s because the really good stuff is locked behind higher level content
i love how because it is brutal from the very beginning, when you keep playing nothing feel truly impossible (maybe the hardest customs, those things are insane)
all rhythm games are NOT beginner friendly. They all throw you into the deep end no matter what.

Its hard and fun at the same time, and there's tons of unlockable stuff. It's also got online so that's cool. I get It's not for everyone but i personally love the game.
My only complaint about base game FNF is that the input for hitting notes is kinda wonky, but other than that, I'd say it's decent (the base game).

you should've checked the Main Story in Arcaea Wiki, The game has one of the best song but still if you want hard songs then change your difficulty to ftr (future)
The main game is still in progress for FNF and has bugs, The moss has that bug fix + has ghost tapping

(I recommend you to play Rhythm Heaven Fever or Megamix, It’s more simple that the DS Version, also It’s better to play Rhythm Heaven DS on a real DS for a better experience)
