As a Bok supporter - Sam is my favourite AB. Strong Man but what I respect most is his humanity - fantastic bloke!
From a saffa huge respect for the classy all blacks.🙏👌🙌🇿🇦🏆
Pure class.
One of the greatest All Black's ever !! From a Saffa supporter
Much respect from Mzansi 🇿🇦
What is Mzansi?

@@rooftile883 means South.
Us Saffas still have plenty of PTSD from AB wins over the years... nice to be dishing it out every now and again. Good to play the final against them again, always the greatest challenge in rugby.
PTSD and in the final the Boks dished out some of their own PSDT. That showdown final was destiny calling between the 2 most successful WC teams, but IRE & FRA is nowadays equal to the NZ challenge. Just see how Fra & Ire are also dominating the u/20
As a Bok fan, I’d rather loose to the AB’s than the Poms.
We Saffas love seeing him on the field. We demand the best and to go up against the best. Greatest rivalry continues.
He's such a good man, such a great NZ sportsman, a good role model for the kids. All the best Sam !!
What a nice and humble human being. It's sad that great guys like this had to lose such big games.
Absolute legend. No fewer words.
This cycle of the ABs dropping below their usual extreme standards and eventual meeting of the Boks in the final has reignited my love for our rivalry. I think it was kinda needed in some ways as The Boks had gone through their own very real slump in 2016/17 with that massive thumping from the ABs to come back to the heights of 2019/BIL tour and now the ABs had their slump, their own Bok hit job at Twickenham and subsequent WC final, to miss out on glory by only a point. It's re established the rivalry in a real way for me. I expect the ABs to make massive statements in this cycle before the WC in Oz.
Seems like the nicest human. Big respect to a fantastic player. From SA.
Saffa here. Top bloke and a great rugby player! Thanks for your contributions to the game 🍺
These guys at the top of the game, put a lot of physical and emotional energy into the sport they devote their lives too, so it’s not easy times when they miss by a small machine. The game is about many teams and players, nice when your team wins but feel for the loosing players. Great when they credit the winning team.
As a 🇿🇦 i can say sam is a phenomenal player. To be an great All Black for that long and have such a stellar career with so much silveware is incredible. Easily one of NZs best. When we lifted the trophy i could still feel for these, all black greats. Enjoy your retirement legend. Respect from 🇿🇦💪
Exactly, he won loads of trophies. One final loss doesn't really change that. He lost to a team that just needed to win unfortunately for him
I have great respect for Sam and understand his emotions around the loss. We have been there and it is not nice. Sam personifies what i understand the AB's to be. Tough, skilled and uncompromising.
One of the all-time greats. Not just on the field but as a person.
From SA Sam is pure class very good player and much respect to him. NZ has really dope exceptional players, also super nice guys.
Huge respect for this man, and, all of the AB’s for that matter.
You might have lost the game but you are a champ- from a SA supporter
As a bok supporter the ab team thru the years have given me great rugby to enjoy and wins against them was hard to come by ,but always the pinnacle of what is possible when great players apply their skills. Thanks Sam u carried the silver fern like a warrior.
The All Blacks will miss him. Love from SA.
Hi, Sem is an icon, always a joy to watch in a match, but he is sometimes not seen much on camera, but maybe he always does the dirty work that is simply needed, for example, when he breaks a tight game after the end of the limit, when it could have been tied, but thanks to him, it was a win - it's experience, cleverness and the still visible joy of the game. I'm from the Czech Republic and rugby is rather a marginal sport here, but I love the sport, it's not usual to see 90% of all matches that have taken place since 2011 here - I admire those guys for many reasons, although rugby is a contact sport, but it's played a lot brain and Sem just has the overview, there's no doubt about that.
The RWC final between the two best teams and historic rivals was going to be a war.
True legend of the game
will be weird seeing new zealand without whitelock, he's just been a feature for as long as i can remember
Pure class!
Ian Foster should learn from Sam about how to take a loss...
Fair comment but a 1 point loss will eat at your soul for much longer than a 10 point margin. Just ask the French
Easier for him to get over it than it would be for Ian Foster. Whitelock already has two winners medals. Would have been incredible if he had won a third though.
1 point losses are the worst, NZ were favourites going in, SA looked done after the England game
Foster is THE BIGGEST clown in rugby!Foster voetsak!😬😬🙈👎👎💀💀💀💀💀🤡🤡🤡🤡🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
@@orlandosadie6283that’s why Rassie planned it that way. Each opponent in the playoffs. Was no fluke 😂😂😂

Interviewer starts with SA got lucky mantra. Ya cool we’ll keep winning and you can keep telling us we lucky. Perfect.
We? Were you on the pitch during this world cup...?
Why love you Sam Whitelock
What a guy
What a based fella
BASED >> Overrated player! Plenty of actual better locks but great person and someone to be respected and loved.
Was a tough loss for sure … but in truth they were in position to win that game and not either Sam missed those kicks. At the end of the day it was meant to be
Probably would have won it had Whitelock been captain that game. Ardie has a long-standing habit (even with the Hurricanes) of leaving kickable penalties out there and constantly going for the corner line-out, and it doesn't matter how many times it doesn't work, he just keeps going for it. Savea is a great player, but as a tactical captain he's always been pretty clueless.
Ima kiwi and SA win fair. What pisses me off is the $##% en rule of the game. People at the top know jack about the game . They dont even play rugby a d make those stupid rule? It pisses me off.
Thanks to the ref in the Ireland quater they shouldn't have been there in the first place.
Not exactly glowing reports about the various coaches 😅
AB ian Forster talking nonsense like SA slow the game down they are too slow what’s up with that I love AB because Jonah lomu and now I have Ardie Savea my love again from AB but Ian Forster need to watch what he says.🇿🇦🇿🇦
A red card cost us the Lions Series . A red card cost us the World Cup !
Get over it ! You lost , they won.
Next RWC the AB's , the French and the Boks will be the sides to beat. Ireland will be , according to their fans , the NUMBER ONE TEAM IN THE WORLD, and will make playoffs only.
The utmost respect for the All Blacks AND their supporters. Class all over. The pundits, however, like John Kirwin, is a disgrace..... Much like Brendan Nel from South Africa. Always excuses and the ref made a mistake.
“As a saffa” “Bok fan here” “from SA”. No one cares lads
That NZ team didnt deserve a pkace in the semis let alone final
Ireland blew it on the day
Thank you to Ireland for once again choosing to fly with Air NZ..we trust you enjoyed your flight home sitting shoulder to shoulder & look forward to sending you home early again in 2027.

@@user-eq9jv5uf7d Unlike NZ we only celebrate real victories and we don't cry when we lose (unlike you against SA---- a team, and your team also, which we have beaten regulary recently.
Ireland blew it on that day,no problem!,our fault----- we are not disappointed because we lost,if we are are disappointed it is only because we did not perform (are you not old enough to see the difference or do you still see sport through the eyes of a child)
And as poor as Ireland played that day they still almost won against a team (an All Blacks team)who had to play the game of their lives in order to win.

@@wasteoftimehere Top 8 bro, pretty solid finish for an Irish sports team dont be disappointed.
You guys were beaten by the best team in the competition and on the planet. Stop sulking, rugby does not belong to NZ. Others are playing the game too and more times even better than the ABs.
You ok bro?
@user-eq9jv5uf7d looks like he's got a chip on his shoulder and been waiting years to have his say! 😂😂
Be a long time if ever you become the most winningest sports team in the world and that's in any sport, but keep trying and one day you may learn what humility is at the moment you and your saffas countrymen come across as so arrogant so please keep being arrogant cause it's most becoming of you aye the best.

How can we take you seriously as a “rough and tough” sportsman with such an insecure hair dye? You talk about how people (sam Caine) have to deal with his red card in the final while you can’t seem to deal with some grey hair. We should listen to you talk genuinely whilst looking disingenuous? No thank you.
Pure class.
