      Du Toit was massive. That tackle on Barrett after Handre's drop goal attempt was a pure destruction. Such a key moment, I think that was going to be an AB try if he didn't smash Barrett's momentum.

      Well. It was al bollox call for the red. Should have been the same for SA in the second half then. Refs really wanted SA to win this. That is what they will and are saying. And they are right about it. No telling what the result would have been with a complete AB Team but this leaves a very nasty mark again. In no way is that the SA Teams fault. They deserve it and I congratulate them. Still... I would have wished for a full team clash all the way through.

    I am a huge football fan and I've never understood nor pay much attention to Rugby. But since maybe 2 years ago, I started with clips, then highlights, then full matches. I used to live in Hounslow so Twickenham was close by, unfortunately I never watcched a match. Now, I am starting to love rugby more, I love how classy, respectful, well behaved yet brutal, fast, very physical also very technical. I hope Rugby catches on more and get popular among the youths and the masses.

      Absolutely! Not a shadow of a doubt. It should have been red and a long term ban. For all the skill that NZ has in their rugby pool, they have always struck me as one of the dirtiest teams in terms of bad spirited tactics. Like how they used to deliberately slow down the game in the 90s or intentionally collapse scrums for resets when a team was attacking in their 22, or take frequent water breaks to break the momentum of teams, or McCaws subtle breaking of laws, or influencing of referees to red card players for nothing (thinking Bismarck du Plessis tackling Dan Carter) and here we have Frizell intentionally injuring an opponent to weak the opposition. All other things remaining equal, the Boks were worthy winners of the final based purely on that dirty move by Frizell. Sadly the ABs have persistently tarnished their image over the years. In terms of dirty play, I put them in the same league as Argentina.

    South Africa winning all three knockout round matches by one point, should be a valuable life lesson to people. A win is a win and a loss is a loss. Some people will tell you that if you play great and come up just short, it is much better than getting blown out by 50. That is complete nonsense. What a match! These two teams are on another level! The last 5 world cups have only been won by these two sides. We have not seen another team win it for 20 years. I think it's fair to say that the Springboks and All Blacks are very good rugby nations who clearly know how to win world cups, whereas the rest of the world are simply not up to it. I heard a lot of people saying that Ireland or France would win it. They clearly know nothing about the game, as the French have never even won a single world cup and the Irish are still yet to make it past the quarterfinals 🤣

    With all due respect, what were some the All Black fans complaining about though? These people missed their penalties and conversions. They didn’t finish their dinner, simple as that. You can’t blame the ref for that. They simply lost on margins, out of their own doing. They should just congratulate the opponent and move on.

    There is a tackle from Faf le Clerk which is not shown in this highlights: He dives and touches the all black player ankle like in the last moment. Wow! I'm actually staggered the ABs almost took it out despite having endless yellow and red cards coming their way.... that they finished hard on attack with 14 men, within one point of the Springboks and having scored the only try in the game speaks more about the quality of their team than their opponents. But anyway, result is what it is.

    • @RenatoCosta1
      @RenatoCosta1 Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@hvlyvoice9127of course not. But playing at the level these guys are playing, having an easy game basically give you two weeks to rest and recover their bodies. While one week is usually not enough. I'm not giving and excuse, just saying that NZ players were looking way stronger. SA was lucky to have played with one extra player and that made the game more even. I'm sure if they did have an easier game at semi finals everything would be different. Anyhow, it was a fun game to watch.

    First time I’ve watched that Frizell yellow (been too busy celebrating) but that looks so cynical seeing it again. I’d read comments about him not being able to control how he fell, but that looks totally deliberate to me. It was clear to ref and TMO. Should have been a red.

    • @vaughanwarren787
      @vaughanwarren787 Před 6 měsíci +3

      I agree. I think the referee tried to err on the side of caution there. Didn't want to spoil the game so early. Which I think is why they went with the red for Sam Cane. Two apparent instances of cynical play.

    • @cammac57
      @cammac57 Před 6 měsíci

      A red card after 2 minutes is so harsh. If it's borderline yellow or red I can see why they wouldn't upgrade it.. clearly the refs need something inbetween if they are taking it into account themselves already!
