BMW Mechanic Test Drives LS-Swap'd, Turbo BMW WAGON

- Today we're test driving this custom built, ls-swapped BMW E91 wagon with a turbocharged LQ4 motor! This car popped up for sale locally near me, and I reached out to the current owner to see if we could spend some time with the car, and see how an LS-swap works in a BMW! From my perspective, it seems like a much larger challenge to swap a non-BMW motor into one of these cars, but luckily it seems there are some solutions already on the market to help mate this engine and chassis combination.

So what is your honest opinion on an LS swapped E9x after driving one?
Lotta power, not a lot of amenities. I like having full integration, no dashboard lights, and reliability. And for those reasons, I'm out! lol

Let me start by saying I don't know nothing about nothing...... Is there a problem with all of these LS motors jammed into BMWs with just general maintenance replacing fixing etc
A LOT of money to get it in, but cheap to fix it/make it fast as hell once it's in there! From my understanding at least. Few people can pull off these swaps to completion, because it's so much labor and custom parts to make it fit in my opinion

@@TheBimmerBarn sheesh 34k. You could put a real ls in one for half that lol. The engine and trans swap kit, ac brackets, driveline and literally the entire can bus integration with standalone costs under 5k.
