This is a brand new engine from GM and one of the first (if not THE first in Europe in a road car)

hmmm kinda, it looks like it is from factory but has been fucked around and tuned with. but all in all looks pretty decent. still looks better with original s65 in it though

The vid & figures don't do this car justice. The torque curve is pretty much flat & monstrous which makes the performance effortless. The quality of the install is awesome, everything is properly thought out & works as it should plus looks stock at a glance. It's a genuine daily too - not something which can be honestly said about swapped cars! Craig is indeed the man when it comes to this type of build. Top job.

Damn. This has been my dream car build for the past couple of years. I've fallen in love with the styling of the e92 m3 and think it's one of the best looking cars ever made. Plus the great handling chassis. The only thing it needed was an engine that can hold more power reliably and an lt4 was my pick for an engine swap. Great job man that thing is clean. Hopefully I'll have the same car running the same engine one day.

You can really tell Craig is a master of his art and a real perfectionist. That install/engine swap as many have said looks factory fit, sounds so good that supercharger whining away. Amazing work and what a car.

James T the only oiling issue was the Trailblazer SS because of the front sump and the pick up wasn’t low enough. Everything else is non existent. The valve issues only came in the first gen LS7s because of the casting company not because of the engineering. Anyhow this is a new gen motor an LT that’s has nothing to do with an LS motor.
@@AA-nt4rm revving to 9k is a waste of time. You could be half way through second with an LS.

@6:02 if the work didn't speak for itself already, his response to doing a "proper" burnout this early in testing is legendary. Always do proper inspection and testing before totally thrashing something especially with this level of dedication poured into it.

NOW THIS IS WHAT I LIKE TO SEE, MORE LS SWAPS ON M3 E92s! Everything needed for this m3, always wanted to see this thing make serious power but didn't see it too often besides your typical base tune and a supercharger. PLEASE DO MORE, or a more in-depth video dedicated to this!
The car now has a different engine (LS3 supercharged) But the LT4 was put into Craigs Aston Martin which you can see on our channel 👍

Id like to see that against an m3 just to see what extra performance its gained and I doubt the engine management light wont be on half as much with the LT engine.

Wow, my 2 dream cars were always the e92 m3 and the 03-04 mustang cobra. This M3 is like the perfect mixture of both, the look of the m3 and that supercharger shine like the cobra with 650hp, jeez. I’d never get rid of that M3 if I had it.
What I ended up hating about this specific M3 is that the owner sold the M3 (but kept the motor) and put it on a really early Aston Martin Vantage (the 4.3L Vantage). So, it no longer exists... sadly.

It was disassembled to make Craigs LT4 Aston Martin. It now has a supercharged LS3 though.

It would be interesting to find out how these engines would cope if paired with a double clutch gearbox like an M3 with DCT.
Please make a swap kit. As E92 prices fall this will sell a decent numbers, also produce a nice marketing effect for Driftworks.

Personally love BMW interiors and overall build quality. Owned an E39 M5 for almost 12 years and with a few problems here and there but that's the only car I've ever hit the rev limiter on a consistent day-to-day basis; you just can't hear a thing once you close the doors. This seems like the perfect marriage in my mind.. and though American car quality has improved, you still sit in most of them and think... "wow, there's a lot of plastic in here". Definitely improved with the latest generation Vette/Stingray for instance, as that was always a sore point with those.

This is a great looking car and with a hell of a motor I love it... question I have 2 cars I'm looking to get more power with and I'm wondering if doing an LS swap would even work and if it did how hard would it be to do. 1st car is an 2002 Lexus gs300 motor is very reliable but "gutless" and I've seen people do swaps with twin turbo 2jzgte motor but I'm not a big fan of turbo's so I'm lookin at v8 power. 2nd car is an 2006 Audi A6 Quattro 4.2L v8 S line engine is OK but you know there known for the timing chain issue so I wonder if LS would work in it? Be bad ass all that power in awd car...

This engine will not rev as high as the orignal s65 v8 but way more reliable and Man that LT4 C7 Z06 motor looks nice in that E92 engine bay look like as it came from the factory a good way to make the E92 a reliable car.👍

Thanks. It's currently running a stock GM ECU with an Emerald ECU handling the Can for the clocks etc. I believe the plan is to have the Emerald handle the lot, but it's quite complex with the direct injection.

The LS3 makes 430hp stock. If you like n/a LS engines, Mast Motorsports makes LS7's with 650hp to 800hp.
