Which is your favorite method do get jobs?

You have to know that chasing fire and offering emergency board up is by far the best way to get fire. You may not agree with the method, which is easy to argue against, but if you properly inform the customer of what's going to happen with the insurance, it's by far the most effective way to get fire.

New subscriber! Thanks for the great content! We do all 4 of these: mold, water, fire, and recon -- and storm damage/tree strike and tenant vandalism damage too! We use most of these methods, but it's good to hear from another restoration expert which ones to focus the most heavily on.

Awesome vid Shane. Marketing for each of these
services is so nuanced. I’m helping a couple of friends with their businesses. One is a handyman and the other is a countertop specialist.
They are both Mexican by birth and both speak English, but with a heavy accent. So getting to know referral sources has been challenging for them.
I’m eating up your content. Thanks so much.

I didn't use to even do mold. Now it is all that is keeping me afloat in Florida.

I need to get my boss to check out your videos. Im his first tech (in training) employee and he would definitely benefit from your videos and program to get jobs rolling in.

I’m in a BNI group for about 6 months and the plumber in the group hasn’t sent me one referral. Do you think they just haven’t got any referrals for us?

For the content marketing and getting an email list try your local chamber of commerce. I joined and had access to a directory of all the companies, including email addresses, phone numbers, and their business address in my county that are also members. It's not perfect but there are lots of plumbers, insurance agents, etc.

That's a great tip! Local chambers of commerce can be a goldmine for finding potential clients and building your email list.

I enjoy your content Shane. I’m a Sales Manager for a pretty big restoration company in Southern California (average about 90-100 MIT jobs a month). Everything you teach is what we do well. However, the one area we’ve failed to master is referrals from the Fire Department. They seem very reluctant to refer anyone. What’s your approach? Thanks again for your content.

Glad to have you first off. I'm not an authority on fire. We did it for a while and didn't like it. We stuck to water. Try 1800 boardup.

What about email. I run a carpet cleaning business with over 4k emails and phone numbers.

Having an email list is awesome! Don't stop building the list.
That said, email lists work better for promotions for things like carpet than they do for water damage.
I have landed jobs from emailing my list but the number of jobs I got from email was WAY lower than from other means like internet, agents and plumbers.
