I think this is like a fan made video or something, because the scenes are too amateur-ish and you can totally tell it's green screen.
I agree because you can tell that it is not professional and some is not accurate like the blades are supposed to come up he drops a tissue the I think, it is not right

For all of you wondering, this is just a video trailer for the books, not for the movie. This most definitely isn't the ACTUAL movie trailer. It was just made in the UK by the publishing company that published the entire book series, which is why they're all British, except for Dee for some reason.

I did not expect that i expeccted dee to look older, flamel to have more hair ( though he might be able to play the older flamel) Josh to be a little bigger and remember Josh was in the cellar and dee brought golems that was very important to the book probably one of the more important details.
This is way too far from the way i picturing them.. all of them.. kinda dissapointing..
I agree - Book trailers are never well made since they don't serve any purpose and will always fail because it's simply impossible to make a trailer for a book when no actual movie is planned...

I discovered this series in my schools library when I was finding something related to Harry Potter and I find this I'm like "where's dumbledore?" And I read Harry Potter like 6 times

They are making a movie. An Australian company bought the rights for the first book movie. Anyway filming was set to start last month (February). You can look it up.
I've always imagined the twins as Dipper & Mable from Gravity Falls. And Nicholas was an old wizard with a long beard. And Dee looked like Cobra Bubbles from Lilo & Stitch. I don't know why....

Nicholas Flamel was supposed to be young in the beginning, but then he aged on throughout the series because he didn't have the formula. John Dee brought with him to the library golems. And where are Perenelle and Scathach? Nicholas also had to have long hair tied into a tail...

Btw. There are plans for a film for years, but no news about for about 3. It will maybe never come. This trailer is for the books by random house. The series would also only work as a blockbuster, not as a low budget production( special effects). The movie trailer should blow you away with its awesome effects, or is more likely fake. A bad movie would be worse than none, it would destroy your view on the book :(.... ^^

when did the thingies come out of the wall? and they're not british!! As for the movie, the ACTUAL movie, it's being filmed as we speak in Australia and New Zealand and it's rights are over to AMPCO films, an AUS based company. But the screenplay (thank goodness) is by Michael Scott himself,saying he wanted to be true to the series. Not much info is given about the cast, but I don't think we'll be disappointed.

People, this isnt actually the movie trailer, it is a book trailer. And the movie is going to be scripted by Michael Scott, so you can count on a good movie =).

no offense to all you "nice" people, but I read this book in like 2, 3 days. ITS MY FAVORITE BOOK! I don't agree with most of you but I do agree with some of you. Yes Sophie's summoning was very wrong, they are not British, Hekate is supposed to have jet black skin, when Dee pulled the book away it didn't show Josh grabbing the pages, where are the glolems, and WHAT IS WRONG WITH NO SCATTY AND PERRY!!!!!
