I just finished rereading the series and i would be so happy if there was a full scale production of this series, imagine if all the elders were book accurate on screen. That’d be so cool!

This was the first book I ever read that gave me such a great adventure and such a protagonist as Halli. The twists and turns in the plot are great but even better are the twists and turns in Hallis mindset and beliefs, this really is a great read and I highly recommend it

Loved these books

I have been enamoured by this series so much so I've started to read them again for the second time. I'm currently starting book 3 the spooks Secret which is a fantastic book but I can't wait to get to the spooks sacrifice. Now that one is my absolute favourite as it goes into more depth of Tom's mam and the land she comes from. Its one of the most exciting and in parts devastating and sad edition to the series. Its not just a story of sacrifice but of love, loss and the realisation that Tom has real feelings for Alice.

I loved the Shirley Hughes books as a child, especially the Alfie ones. RIP Shirley Hughes.

I just was reading your take on "Adam and Eve". Your book starts off very biblical incorrect. It is no where near what the original Hebrew text has to say. The Garden of Eden wasn't made for Adam and Eve. It was made before Adam and Eve. It is not good to lie to children as they will find out about it later in their lives. This will drive them away from Christianity. According to Genesis Chapter 1 this is what happened : Day 1: Light was made. Day 2: The sky was created. Day 3: Dry land, seas, plants and trees were created. Day 4: The Sun, Moon and stars were created. Day5: Creatures that live in the sea and creatures that fly were created. Day 6 Animals that live on the land this completed the Garden of Eden. Finally humans both Adam and woman out of the same dirt/clay, made in the image of God were created. Day 7: God rested. Chapter 1 refers to god in the plural. Like Elohim and "Let us make man in our own image." The Jewish people where not monotheists in the beginning as this is an indication that they were Henotheisitc meaning that their god was one of many gods that chose them. Genesis 2 Tells a contradictory story of the creation of Adam and Eve. After all of the animals were made, god made Adam and told him to tend to his creation. He saw that Adam was lonely so he put Adam into a deep sleep and took a rib from Adam and made Eve. He gave both of them dominion over the garden. He told that they would surely die if they ate from "Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil" that they would surely die. There is an implication in the the animals where created after Adam was created. Some Apologetics believe that chapter is just an expansion of Day 6. During the Jewish Midrash and the formation of Talmud it was put forth that woman was created twice. The first one was named Lilith and the second one was Eve . I will take the ones responsible for originally writing the text interpretation of any Apologetics everyday over anybody else's. Rev George

Wow 9 years old! I feel like an old woman now ahah anyway still my favorite book, even after so many years. Any news about the fourth book? I know the author actually published 2 others completely different stories / books. They look good, I'll read them if I can. But I'm still waiting for the history keepers book 4! Please tell me it's not forgotten, it will be so sad to waste such a good stories.
