It is quite surprising to find that there are many legends involving old women or witches who have the ability to transform themselves into birds. For example: Voladora Penchapechi Raven mocker and La lechuza It's like ancient people were very afraid of birds. So there made scary legends about them.
Really love your videos and amazing artwork ❤❤❤. There's just one thing i think would be more amazing if you includes methods of killing the creature (if exists). Still amazing and very informational videos love then thanks.
@zameraeli It is a mythological creature. It never existed.
I never heard of theses monsters before thanks for bringing them up
Striga (Strzyga) was the name of one of the female vampires from the third and fourth seasons of the Castlevania animated series. She had a thick northeastern European accent.
Reminds me more of the Tah-tah-kle’-ah, a similar cannibalistic Owl Witch from Native American mythology.
Another scary vampire type bat thing love these stoites
Thank you for the information
Strzyga is possibly cognate from the romanian "strigoi", which is also an undead/vampiric being that feasts on flesh and blood, but the differences are is that it also shapeshifts and turns invisible; "striga" means to scream.
Could Strzyga evolve from myths of Strix? They shared a lot traits. Being Evil Birds creatures the feast on human blood and flesh.
Strzyga : 🇵🇱 Poland night forest owl demoness vampire body woman wing claw tree and attack drink blood human men
Stryga looks in slavic myths more like a sparrow than an owl.

1:04 You better watch out that what Strzyga did to citizen at night. They will consume the life force or Souls of their victims.
👏 Wow. Very impressive story of Strzyga The Strange Vampire Owl of Slavic Mythology. Now that was terrible evil creature. Everyone need to remain stay vigilant to stay home at night.
In Albanian. Folklore a shhtreega pronounced like u see it! Shtreega is a witch, she only comes out at night and she turns into an old lady and tricks u by making u feel bad for her and luring u towards her! It’s also just the term to call someone evil or a witch! “Ty je shtrige” you are a witch! Interesting to see how other cultures see it almost the same but different
Interesting a little bit
Divine judges: For the numerous sins you committed while alive. Some of which are too horrible to mention. Your punishment is to become a bloodthirsty monster.
Murderer: YEAH!!!
Mortals: Umm we don't think that is a good idea.
This monster was in the Witcher 3.
Half the Salvic pantheon made the cut for the game🫡

Vampire and werewolf.
Yikes..Ruunn!! 😬
I am from Eastern EU and I never heard this kind description of striga.
Stringa is old (mostly) or young women which can make herself look young too. Know magic. Flies on broom. Sometimes changes to bird. But mostly changes others to other objects. At least that’s what I heard in our country 😀
Scary
This creature isn't the same thing as the "Strigoi" is it? I seem to always get those two confused...

Hispanic American Countries like Mexico, Nicarágua and El Salvador also have legends about Owl Witches wich they call "La Lechuza".
1:10 I never like mythology stories where evil people who have done so much bad die and basically come back a super monster version of themselves to do more evil things...........how does that even make any sense.
