Abhartach : Evil Vampire King of Irish Mythology | Shocking Story

- Abhartach - The Real Vampire from Irish Mythology was the true roots and origin of Bram Stoker's Dracula. The story, shared with him by Oscar Wilde's Aunt at a party, took place in ancient Ireland, where the Abhartach, a sinister magician, drank the blood of Irish villagers, just like the Vampire of Myth.
This shocking story surrounds a real-world structure in the north of Ireland that is alleged to hold the Vampire's body, slain by Ireland's greatest hero, Fionn McCool.
Irish folklore carries on great mysteries in the form of storytelling. These legends of the old Irish need to be considered since tales of vampires had to be based on something real. And those people back then were hard as nails. - Zábava
This story deserves more attention because I never heard of this being the real inspiration for Dracula.
It's only the name that relates to Vlad. He was a monster, yes, but a very human one.
😂
Good to hear from you Duke I've been a bit worried about ya, glad to see you're still kicking brother.
I'm still kicking, brother. All good. Just been very busy, and the art for this thing took longer than expected. I learned a lot tho, so the next one won't take half as long. Thanks for the concern. You're the man.
@@TheDukeOfDankness good to hear it brother, you did a great job doing the art work I used to be pretty good myself but that's been years ago.
Love it. I'm an avid lover of Irish Lore. Sur look at some of the graves that were dug up & found some skeletons with huge rocks in their mouths. They reckon that they were Vampires.
Thank you kindly, Aintonette. I'm glad you liked it. Yeah, there's a lot that went on back then that didn't happen by accident or superstition. Those people saw something.
You made my day seeing that you posted a new story and a killer one at that!!
Great to see your back at it brother!🍻
You made my day with this comment! Cheers, brother.
Fionn MacCumhaill, the first vampire slayer. Great video, well presented.
Thank you, Cathal
You never fail to tell great stories. Unfortunately I missed a few of them about 3 months ago, but now I have two more stories to enjoy this evening! Prost from America my friend!
haha. Fair play to ya, man. Get those stories into ya! Prost, brother!
Man o man!! This here vamp fella sure was a scutter or all scutters i tell ya what😲😲. Maybe in reality this thing was a very intelligent but completely insane homicidal psychopathic alchemist that perfected angel dust and LSD long before Tim Leary?😲😲🙃🙃. Duke, i love this new direction you're going with not only your uncanny nack for superb story tellin', but we are getting to see a new side of your artistic prowess on the graphic side as well!!. Fantastic paint slingin', Troop!!😱😱Your ability to express viewpoints, vantage points, and character angles all while smoothly articulating the narrative story is above and beyond. You never fail to entertain and for sure never fail and blowing minds, Saddle Pard! Glad you're back on patrol taking point on this heavily mined Tube world, navigating us with real genuine and passionate entertainment. Missed ya hoss!! welcome back and thank you for the goodies and cannot, i say again cannot wait to see what's next!! Just remember to take your time and time for yourself and by all means, take it easy, homie. The Duke abides, yall👍👍😎😎
Brother! Thank you so much. CZcams never notified me of your comment. They are afraid of this Division of ours. I only see you awesome comment by chance as I was checking info on the vid. So now, I gotta make sure I keep an eye on things here. Delighted you enjoyed this one, man. There are more coming. Unfortunately, my desktop blew up on Thursday. I think it's the PSU. So, I am out of the game until I get that sorted. But I am currently working on an Absolute legend and will have more up as soon as I can.
@@TheDukeOfDankness ooh No!! Sorry to hear that my man. That machine must have tried to work harder than you and just petered out with exhaustion halfway through the competition🤣🤣. Hardest working man on the tube you are, young stud. And yes, the powers-that-be sure the hell don't want Patriots coming together to break up their little cabal ring 😤😤 If you need anyting let me know 👍👍
Great video Duke as always! Excellent artwork, loved it 👏👏👏
Cheers, Baz! I appreciate it. The art was a killer though. I learned a few great tricks that lighten the load this time.
It's great to see you back, brother! Excellent video and story, as always! Stay warm and safe over there - maybe another video with you in Dublin soon? 🍻🇺🇲🇮🇪✝️
Thank you, Hunter. It's good to be back. I can't spend that long on a video again. Dude, it is baltic over here. Freezing my Dukelies off. I will do another Dublin-based vid especially for you in the Spring, my friend. Maybe even a pub tour.
Our hearts led us to your stellar channel - thank you! My dad was a Galway gent. Count us in as your biggest fans!
I am so sorry for the delay in response. Life.kivking the Duke in the Netherlands. Thank you so much. And I hope yo be making videos again soon.
👉💥👈 Hay Duke, good story, portal travelling creatures maybe, love the old Irish tale's,good stuff .......
You know what, Nick, the more I learn the more likely portals seem to be. The Missing 411 stories, the skinwalker Ranch(among others) phenomena point to reality itself as being more like a shroud over other shrouds.
@@TheDukeOfDankness It's seems like it maybe that some life forces, are able to travel backward, and forwards, though that shroud at will.
Nice work on the art work brother.
Thank you, Bro. It was a slog for sure. Got there tho.
@@TheDukeOfDankness good stuff, keep at it.
Damn I'm happy ! What a nice end of the week treat. Coming home to a video of Irish folklore from my little brother, The Duke. Yo man. When I was near the Giant's Causeway in the North of Ireland in 2013, I was told another Finn McCool story. We'll need to compare notes to see if I was told a correct story. Bro, I am so happy to see your new video. 👍
Kevin, my man! Good to see you enjoyed it, pal. That one was a right slog. Thought I'd never get it done. Still think I can do a lot better. But this one was proof of concept. Glad I could bring you a nice surprise at the end of your work week. Chilling out tonight myself.
Hello brother hope all is well.
@@mortem-tyrannis Hello my brother. Pleasure to hear from you as always ! Hope you and yours are doing well !
@@revmo37 I'm good but about a month ago my little one died she was a Chihuahua terrier mix but other than that we're good brother thanks for asking.
Cool! Love the original art work.
Thank you, Em. You know, some folk think it's stock images. So, 8 did myself a rolling credit at the end. All Duke.😂
@@TheDukeOfDankness These days, life is a stock image.
Great vid mate!
Thank you, Noel! Glad you liked it. This one took me ages.
It shows mate I can tell you put alot of effort into it nice work!
@@TheDukeOfDankness It shows. Amazing artwork, narration, research, etc...
@@revmo37 Thank you, Brother.
I've always heard that Dracula came from vlad the impaler... there's a whole thing about that they both can't be Dracula, maybe just vampires in general
They always Rob the proletariat of their history.
Vlad #3 was highly misunderstood. He was defending his country against a force with superior numbers and weapons, so he used straight savage horror to freak them out. And IT WORKED. His brother betrayed his country, but crazy old Mr. Dracul never did.
Jaysus, man. We, the Irish, hereby declare that if Americans make everyone laugh, then we have to scare the shite out of everyone with our undead, the neamh-marbh and get them drunk with our spirits, whisky and moonshine, poteen
We are far more sombre. However, we comprise 78 million Americans. So...fits
@TheDukeOfDankness Fair enough, but you have to remember that we have a much darker sense of humor than most Americans, it's entirely possible that we'd have managed to scare them with our sense of humor, especially since our ethnicity is older than God because we are the descendants of Celts and Vikings.
There are more Irish Americans than there are Irish in Ireland. I can't say anything about the humor because I was in the army so none of my Irish family ever shocked me and nothing sticks out.
Damn Duke. These video are nicely animated. Great job man. And to think we had no vampire stories in Ireland. Class video chefe.
Fair play to ya, Nazir. Thanks, brother. This one was a right oul horror of a slog.
Thanks!
My man!!! Thank you, Pard. The Duke has been 'chilled' by youtube overlords and is not getting proper notifications. However, I am coming back. Just going through comments manually now and finding all these gems. I love how supportive you are, man. Can't wait to knock back beers with you!
@TheDukeOfDankness "Give em Hell, Pike!" The Wild Bunch 1969. Don't give a minute to those dry gultchin' brass ring idgits, saddle pard. Keep on a swingin' and we all will be here with you no matter what!! Take tour time and take it easy, rider. 👍👍
fascinating story.
Not that it matters since it's still a good story, there has been a suggestion that this is the inspiration for Dracula a few years ago, mainly as far as I can tell from how the original writer (stoker) didn't have any proof of Vlads cruelty, implements and such, in his research notes or elsewhere.
Then this story was suggested as another possible origin.
It's worth noting though that interestingly enough almost all civilizations, used to have different stories and legends about creatures of the night draining life force. Not specifically blood always but blood can be a pretty clear life force synonym.
Sometimes it's "living" physical beings, other times it's more spirits, but they all come at night and they all drain life force.
Great video
Thank you, Michael!!
Sweet 😮 Great job ☘
Thanks man👊
My fiance is a McCool! He is a descendant of Finn McCool! Totally fascinating story. Almost as good as The Giants Causeway built by The Giant Finn McCool!
Your 'Husband' hopefully is a beast. Good blessing to you.
@@TheDukeOfDankness Yes He Is! I call him "My Beast" all the time!
You’re channel is incredible. I watched your video on Buford Pusser then Audie Murphy…I’m blown away.
Great story i love these old mystic legends
Dracula🧛♂️🕊🖤🐺🦇🐺
i like the more original celtic version where he went to a Druid, but still an intriguing irish legend nonetheless
Another excellent presentation 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
No, the hero was not Finn McCool, but was Cathrain
Do you have a Podcast?
What a badass
unlike most vapires...this one enjoyed drinking pure grain alcohol until he puked through his nose
Woodchipper time? Would that work?
Yes brother i enjoy very muchly. Please excuses my engleesh you use words 10:59 i not understand "Tings" & "Tink" what are please. ?
He’s saying Tings= things and Tinks=thinks. His Irish accent is not saying the “H” sound in those words that’s all. I hope this helped ya out. I also hope this reaches you and those you love in great health and happiness❤️🙏

Send this story to Israel..
The creature is
Benjerman Nosferatu's cousin. The creature draws its strength from the Herpes of rabbis
Spicey take there, brother. 🤣
So stolen from Romanian folklore then? “Irish legend” 😂
Other way around. Predates Vlad. By a long stretch. Stoker was Irish. Friends with Oscar wilde. His sister told Stoker all about this legend. That's where it comes from.
So all we have is a load of graphics and a story which makes it very boring also no proof what so ever very sad
Those are drawings and paintings. Reading your comment was boring, so you got your revenge. Thank you for driving my numbers anyway. And if you're sad, don't be. Be happy. Respect your betters and learn. It's invigorating.
