2024 Just picked a new one up CZ 75 SP01 manual safety for $639
I have the SP01 and the Staccato C2 and the P as well. I agree with you that SP01 is in the same league. Matter of fact I would rather use the SP01 than the C2, the P would be more comparable and I shoot both very closely. The C2 would be closer to the CZP01 in size again both are very comparable. Save the money and buy the CZ. The only other gun I have found comparable to the SP01 would be the Sig 320 Legion (because the weighted grip). I also have a CZ TSO and I belive the SP01 is as good maybe the trigger on the TSO Is a little better. I have become a CZ fan boy but all i can say find what you like and get out and shoot. Great vid
💯 agree man, legion is by far the best performing gun for its price point, i see them new sometimes for 800 bucks. Sad part this sp-01 video is one of my lower viewed videos but this gun deserve more views lol . If i had to put them in order i would say the P, legion, shadow 2 and sp-01. I always fire my legion better than my CZ's.
I’ve carried a cz pcr for 8 years or so now. I have 0 malfunctions in thousands upon thousands of rounds. I’ve fully cleaned the pistol maybe twice. I drop some lube every couple thousand and call it good. I installed the Cajun Gun Works defensive package, warren tactical fiber optic front sight blacked out rear, use the 15 round flat base mags with the 10 spring follower for 16+1, have a 15 rd mag with taran baseplate and 10 spring follower for a 21 round mag, threw some lok palm swell bogies on and it is by far my favorite pistol. With its 6.5 lb DA and 3lb SA it shoots fast as hell and very accurate. I’m on a wait list to get it milled. I think they are actually far superior to the 2011’s the are far more reliable, and match it in every other category for 1/4 the price.
they are amazing man, I actually have a video coming soon in the Sp01 and legion. SP01 so underrated its crazy. I want to do a cgw trigger kit and optic cut as well but 1 porject at a time 😆.
I got the exact same gun for the exact same price (used also) a month after you. Recently I have been going back and forth between milling the slide and putting a dot on it or leaving iron sights on it. Leaning toward iron sights. I haven't got the TLR-1 yet but that's on the list. Eventually I'll probably get some Cajun parts for it as well, like trigger. Stock grips for now. Nice video, thanks for sharing.
They are auch amazing pistols and incredibly overated, its pretty much smaller lighter shadow 2.
Hands down one of my favorite guns is a CZ Shadow 2. I converted mine to SAO and stuffed it full of CGW parts. The trigger breaks at 2.5lbs and its as crisp and nice feeling as my 1911's, just with a tad bit of take up before the wall. Not much though. I've shot it side by side with Staccatos. One was an XC. They're all pretty similar shooting and I felt like the CZ had less muzzle flip than the non-ported Staccato and was close to the XC. I'm getting ready to do a CZ75 Compact build. I'm going to do all the same parts, polish all the internals, and I'm considering getting both CZ's ported.
That sounds amazing, ive always wanted to setup a nice p01 with a red dot and all. Luckily I'm getting my chance with right with my sp01. Just sent the slide to but cut for an optic by impact machine.
With the CGW Pro Package and the TLR1 weighing down the muzzle, you won't find a sweeter shooting pistol. Absolute UNIT of a pistol.

CGW did two of my SP-01s, one I turned into single action only.

CZ in the thumbnail is the same CZ in the video but grips and and magwell added thsy did not arrive on time. Magwell is from springer precision.
CZ TS2 (SA) & Staccato P w/ Dawson comp….No recognizable difference in performance for a VAST price diff. Both are exceptional guns.
CZ's are amazing, down to the P-01 everyone knows those are badass pistols. I want a Cajungunworks P01 with an optic cut next.

The CZs are good guns for the price, but I don't think they are a true competitor to the 2011s. The triggers are completely different and the buttery slide and easily usable manual safety on a 2011, and the amazing speed and accuracy of a 2011 make for a completely different shooting experience.
It's one thing to compare a glock 17 to a Beretta APX or a FN 509 to a M&P because they all function the same. A CZ and a 2011 are two different animals.
Also, CZ doesn't make an optics ready single action only model, so if you shoot with dots, you are stuck with the DASA Shadow2, which is more of a competition gun and is too big and heavy to carry and when compared to even less expensive competition 2011s like the XL or the XC, for pure shootability, it's just no comparison at all, unless you mod it.
I would even take the P over any CZ. It all comes down to what you are willing to pay and what the extra money gets you. But IMO, having owned and used both, the CZs are great, but they are not a 2011 in function or shootability. They are closer to a high power, and seem to be based on them. Maybe comparing a CZ to a Beretta 92 would be more accurate. Still cool guns though.
Yes most 2011's are better but if you cant afford one and want the closest thing to performing to one at its lowest price the SP01 is perfect and a very comparable controls to SA or da/sa despite different designs. Staccato P used cheapest price non OR is $1600-1800 and an SP01 easy $650. 1k in price difference and when you compare performance, price and designs the SP01 is a no brainer great choice is you cant afford a 2011.

I have not and thay pistol honestly looks like a great buy just have not had the honor to shoot one yet. How does it compare to your c2?
@@arkzgun C2 have better conceal abilities by size. RIA is heavier pistol have better recoil management.

If it was a Shadow 2 vs the Springfield ds1911 I would lean towards the CZ cause they are just better built, similar recoil and tons of aftermarket support. With th SP01 its amazing, probably still better built but the ds 1911 is offering more for sure but the sp01 is right behind and at a way cheaper price point.

You are saying the quiet part out loud. The CZ is cheaper and more reliable than any 2011. It's well known and CZ's dominate the competition circuit. However, marketing has worked it's magic and alot of people are throwing money down the drain.
Good review with some mistakes.
Omnivore holster, not ominverse.
Single action, not single fire.
Not a Shadow.

I have a decked out cajunized sp01 and an Atlas Erebus . I’ll be honest with you. You can’t compare the two .
Love my sp01 and all my cz's! However, if you can get a staccato for a good price it will shoot and feel better than your fully customized cz.
I sold my staccato so I can shoot my cz's again because they got no love and stayed safe queens. You cant compare the two but you can put lipstick on a pig. 700 dollar gun vs 2300.
