Can we get a "grossest cars of 2021" compilation?!?
If you ever wondered why your Bentley suddenly drives worse after an ECU-Upgrade: There you have it. It is drunk because of all the Eggnog
What the hell is an eggnog? Something is very fishy there.
@@BlairSauer it's an egg cream drink with cinnamon, nutmeg, and usually Brandy...
@@BlairSauer 🤣
Whoever bought that first one, needs to check the title.
That is a junkyard car, most of the time when those guys take a battery out before it goes in the yard, they just cut the cables. So in all likelihood that car was scrapped because of the fire, it was bought and "fixed" by that dealer and then sold to an unsuspecting customer.
I suspected something was up with that car, but I didn't even come close to figuring it out.
Most likely removed quickly the way you've explained it by the firemen dealing with the fire, then written-off by insurance company! Where I live the vehicle would not be considered a repairable-write-off & scrapped!
@@stevie-ray2020 That's also likely. Thing is a lot of yards will sell cars after they have been scrapped, Ive bought a number of cars that way to build race cars, just needed a cheap chassis.
Unfortunately, some dishonest used car lots also buy them too, which is very likely what that car was. And probably sold to that person like nothing was wrong with it. No warranty of course.
In a proper country you can't resell scrapped cars.
@@dubious6718 Not entirely sure what a "proper country" is, but Its entirely legal to do so, and honestly nothing wrong with it.
Its what you do with it afterwards that matters. In my case I bought it for the chassis to build a race car, titled and registered it as an off road vehicle, no plates.
Other people buy them as parts cars, to strip parts off for projects.
You can also rebuild them if you like, however, that is subject to several inspections and will have a branded, salvage rebuilt title.
This is where that unsuspecting buyer got taken advantage of, as that dealer did not go through any of the proper process before selling it.
So if for what ever reason, your country doesn't allow any of these situations, that's your lose. And honestly ridiculous.
He got his money's worth out of that tire. If it wasn't for that damn nail, he could have got 15 more miles on it!
15 more seconds maybe 🤪
Because at 15 miles, it'll explode and take the car out with it.
Called Goodyear may pops... may pop tomorrow or may pop next week
1:12 I was gonna say, that had to be at least a dumpster
No way a plastic garbage can ripped through your car's sheet metal like goddamn wolverine xD
hit and run was my thought.
I vote for dumpster. It's a lot easier for a person to say garbage can when they mean dumpster than it is to say garbage can when they mean garbage truck.
I own A used car lot but would never sell something like. I work on all of the cars when we get them. I go through them to make sure they are good. work for chevrolet and toyota dealer almost 20 years. People like that give us a bad name just like shop bad shop do.I had a good christmas. hope you did. Thanks for all you do
Glad to hear there's still good people out their. Happy new year, Daniel!
@@JustRolledIn thanks guy
I found some very desireable cars at a couple of used car lots. They do not like customers paying cash though. Had to buy from a private seller instead.
the customer stated they just bought it .... that may be the lie right there .... why would this customer feel like telling the actual TRUTH
If you sell cars in the UK you have to warranty them. (Not everything though).
I laughed out loud at the tire patch!
If they had only used Flex Seal on it, they'd be okay. :)
Yeah. That one got me too. At least they had enough sense to ask if it was done right.
How can someone who can own and drive a vehicle, think this is, in any way a good idea that will work? Its incredibly cretinous behaviour. :-)
No no no not the patch!!!! Uggggg 🤦🏽♂️hold on what’s up with that battery 👀😫my god what’s up with some of these people 🤷🏽♂️
Right tool to repair it, but still, no cigar.
You got some good ones here - That first one - using a bolt to increase surface contact on the bat cables....not sure even I could've came up with that back in my "broke ass" days.
I get the leaves - my wife complained about a burning smell in her car once. I popped the hood, nothing unusual. Taurus 3.7L I believe it was, I pulled off the plastic engine cover and discovered the problem. I surmised, mice liked to raid the Rubbermaid totes with deer corn and birdseed in the garage and dine on top of her warm engine for the evening diners.
The amount of bellhousing/case fractures blow my mind.
Ah the classic, buy here, pay here lots. I have seen too many unscrupulous lots to be convinced there’s many good ones out there.
Sad to see what some places sell to make money.
If you're too stupid to not open the hood then you deserve what you get...
It’s one of those business models that cannot earn money without shafting customers.
On one hand I agree most of those places are run by criminals. On the other hand, I can't feel sorry for people who can't do a basic visual inspection of a vehicle and point out shit like that battery that should be blatantly obvious to anyone considered competent enough to drive. Just being blunt, but if you can't see the problem with something like that, you have no business operating a vehicle.
I dont have a high opinion of those lots either. I went to one only one time, and I came away with a bad taste in my mouth. I had a car salesman try to sell me a jeep that I was interested in, he said it had recently had its 'PVC' valve redone, and gestured vaguely at the side of the engine. I asked if he meant PCV, and pointed at the top of the valve cover, and he quickly backtracked to agree. I'm not mechanically inclined at all, but I used to work in an oil change shop so I actually knew what that was. Regardless, the sale never happened; either he had no idea what he was talking about, or he assumed I had no idea what he was talking about. I quickly left and spent my money elsewhere.
The guy with the battery did the best job he could with what he had!
3 grey cells
At least he admitted he needed some help getting the battery installed correctly. That's a step in the right direction.
That was a Macgyver fix.
These make me feel sooo much better about my car.
Eggnog is the best file name😂
😂 agreed on that. Must be the Christmas update for the infotainment system lol
@@JustRolledIn probably😂
I am always amazed at these cars that are totally trashed inside. I could partly imagine that it is a call for help. Or these people are just plain disgusting. Ultimately, I feel sorry for the mechanics who are supposed to sit in there.
Make you wonder what their house looks like
Shops should just take one look at that and tell them it's going to cost triple so they can get the car cleaned out and disinfected before mechanical work will take place.
Like they live in the car.
Some shops will decline service to a car due to health hazards like that. I've seen other vids like this where cars were filled with garbage or even bugs and they tell the customer "no". For some people, it's just hording, their houses probably look just like it. The type of people that you literally have a path from the front door to every room in the house and bathroom.
It is the reason mechanics don't get colds often. We get a daily dose of everyones yuck
I usually use lamp wire when wiring my cars, lol.....
🧐😅
Try Telephone Wire! Reach out, and shock someone! =O
Found speaker wire in a few before for the electrical 🤪
@@alansmith4734 One ringy-dingy....
Wire nuts would have been better
Give credit to the person who installed the second battery and then went to get it fixed right. They improvised something that worked, did no damage and didn't wait to get it properly installed.
Sure, what could possibly go wrong.
I was surprised they could close the hood with that second battery sitting there!
Most retail parts stores will install batteries for free
@@quantumleap359 why would a trunk not have the room for it?
it was even the right battery! That's worth mentioning.
3:06 This reminds me of the customer who patched his windshield (with patches for temporary windshield repair) from the inside.
Lol you got me again. Battery on battery action. Shame on you. Lol. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
lol, glad I could surprise you!
So that's how they make new batteries...

I wonder how many cars get damaged from car parts flying off the vehicles in front of them. I’ve never seen so many unsafe vehicles that were still allowed on the road than on this channel. And those car owners who use their vehicles as a dumpster I have no words, I’m just dumbstruck.
Keep up the great work! I can't believe how people drive some of these! Happy New Year!
Happy new year as well 😁👍
Great format, perfect length, but I admit I like the comments almost as much. Happy New Year.
Happy new year to you as well!
The condition of some of these vehicles is why so many states have Safety Inspection requirements.
Surprisingly, California is not one of those states. But they do require Smog Test.
That's the problem with low profile tires. They don't provide very good cushioning. Simple pot holes fracture the rims, cost lots of $$$.
I have low-pros (22s with Pirelli's) and have never had that problem - although I try to avoid hitting potholes to begin with and certainly not at highway speeds (which it seems they would have to be doing to split a rim like that). The harder thing to avoid is curb rash lol
My sister has a 2016 Dodge Dart and I hate it. The thing uses more tires than fuel. Every year was a tire blow out.
I've bent 2 wheels and outright broke 1 hitting potholes with 40 series tires. Never again for a daily driver.
@@wigletron2846 I have had 35 series on 19 inch rims for the last 10 years. Only on my second set of tires and the same wheels. 103K from the last set., and 30K on the set I have now. Had the car for 20 years, and originally it had 17's with 45 series. I get a better ride from the 19 x 35's. But it does depend on the car. I have adjusted my suspension to suit the 19 inch wheels so it does ride well. Cheers
@@BatMan-oe2gh maybe the roads are much better where you live. Where I am there's far too many potholes and uneven surfaces. Many people I know have also sworn off low profile tires.
I like how either you or whoever took the video was explaining what was wrong on each clip. On some videos in the past I wouldn't know exactly what was trying to be shown. But I'm also no mechanic.
EGGNOG CODE 101- ITS A HOOD
thats why you look under the hood and under the vehicle when buying and test drive it. and rev the engine to make sure it can rev without any issues.
Or, if you don't know what you are looking for/at, pay for an independent mechanic to do a thorough pre-purchase inspection.

Jesus!! Those hoarders!
@2:39 , the battery is from an O'reilly's and they would have installed it for free , even if they took it home to get the car running they could return to the store and it would have been installed properly for free .
Lol thats funny. I did not know that. We unfortunately don't have O'Reillys in Canada.
Maybe the video was sent in by an O'Reilly's employee? Also, as long as the alternator is good they could have just jumped the car to start it and drive it in.
Don't see how they could close the hood/bonnet, or not have the battery leak sitting like that!
@@stevie-ray2020 It's one of those weird cars with battery in the trunk xD You see spare tire, no engine. Also, maintenance free batteries don't leak unless you go after them with a hammer or similar.

Most come from auctions. I did extensive research and used carfax. But they aren't selling cars, they're selling financing.
Yeah, cuz those battery hold down clamps are so elusive ! I 🤣
Doesn't the US have some laws regarding the amount of profile there must be on a tire. Over here it's a minimum of 1.6mm, but personally I change my tires before it reaches that.
Here in the US, you need a car to go just about anywhere. If you don't have any money for new tires, you just hope the bald old tire will hold on for just one more time....
yea, 2/32"
A lot of US states stopped yearly vehicle inspections, so this is the norm.
@@apeflawless The norm, really? I would say it's not rare, but I don't think it's fair to say it's the norm.

HAPPY NEW YEAR,
IT'S GOTTA GET BETTER
I’m not made of money now and in my misspent youth I was often flat-ass broke. But I always placed a high value on making it through to my misspent older age. As far as auto maintenance, I usually knew the difference between what needed prompt attention to avoid death and what could wait a payday or two. The people in these vids lack that ability. Even higher end and/or newer and/or nicer looking cars are neglected until vital elements have failed to the point of being unrepairable and they usually take one or more other elements with them. For the want if a $100 maintenance job they spend 100’s or 1,000’s of dollars for repairs or vehicle replacement. Priorities people!!

Looks like the firemen cut the battery cables during the fire, lol
In Germany, any defects discovered in the first six months after sale are by law assumed to have been present during sale, unless the seller can prove otherwise. Also, customers can legally assume that commercial sellers will sell cars in working condition, unless the seller can prove the buyer was informed of existing defects. There is no "as seen" for commercial sellers.
With electrical wiring like that, getting it redone properly at the seller's cost is not even a question.
Funny video.
Apparently those factory updates have 'eggnog' and also 'truffles' filenames. German sense of humour!
