0:05 2021 Honda HR-V. The technician said: "Weâre thinking weâll have to strap it down to where it was before and lay a nice thick weld around it, the frame rail got bent too so we might just cut it all out and spot in some new stuff. If we can get it from Honda."
0:20 Look's to be walnuts under the hood of this Mini Cooper. They cleaned up the mess and the noise went away.
0:29 The mechanic said he brought the customer into the shop to show him that rat and the rat ran toward the owner. The owner was very happy his pet rat was okay.
0:37 2022 Genesis GV80 can run upwards of $80000 USD. So the technician was surprised to see somebody would just spray paint over the scratches. He also mentioned a new paint job would be around $10000 USD.
0:58 If you saw a 1970 Plymouth Superbird on the news or online after Hurricane Ian, this is the one. www.autoevolution.com/news/a-...
Will give you guys updates if we get any.
1:16 1999 Chevy Astro AWD. The customer stated he had a heavy wobble above 25. The customer drove the vehicle here. The vehicle was repaired!
Looks like it needed new idler and pitman arms. Would make for an awful drive with worn-out steering components like that.
1:30 Bent rear axle shaft.
The technician said: "The smog machine ended up aborting the test because the vehicle could stay at a stable speed with all the misfires it was doing. In California, it's vehicles that are '99 and older that get a dyno test.
1:38 GMC Sierra. The customer said he now has an excuse to get a new truck and wasn't too terribly mad about it.
1:55 The mechanic said these are photos from an F-150 that a customer has near Japan! An island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It literally rains saltwater here.
2:02 Bluetooth battery post. The technician replaced the battery.
2:13 The Jeep has a snorkel and "cold air intake". A snorkel is meant to be used if you plan on driving in high water and don't want to get water into the air intake and engine. The mechanic thought it was funny that the customer did that and the fender was held on with a USB cable.
2:28 The technician drained all the engine oil, added the correct amount, and let the vehicle idle outside for a while as there was a lot of oil burning from being overfilled with engine oil.
2:41 The technician said he has no clue what the customer was trying to do with the ATV exhaust.
2:55 No extra info.
3:07 "Car was in the exit lane only with his turn signal on,
never applied his brakes or attempted to negotiate the turn and hit an embankment and went airborne 30' between the gasoline price sign and came to a rest in the parking lot of Snyder Brothers Automotive along 376
West."

0:20 it never fails to shock me when something as simple as lifting the hood would reveal the cause of the problem.
Not quite as bad as something in the interior of the car making noise, and them still taking it to the mechanic to tell them it's loose items on the floor or in the pockets in the doors.
the hood? what's that? lol
Some people donât even know how to open the hood. Good thing they have money!
Unfortunately though, often times people like that wouldn't know what they are doing under the hood, so perhaps it's for the best s/he didn't dive under the hood đ

My jaw always drops when I see your videos. How do these people even have the brain power to know how to drive or send in payments or have a paying job ?? Many questions.
They don't know how to drive though
We live in the age of the automobile. Why high schools don't mandate a semester of auto shop is beyond me. Doesn't need to get wildly in depth, but fundamentals of DC electricals, fluid change requirements, battery basics and brakes.
I gave someone a jump years back who simply did not grasp his battery was weak: it would crank a few turns, but was underspeed just enough that crank trigger was not seen by the computer - zero spark was the result. Thing lit off immediately with a jump.
My thoughts exactly. How do they have enough brain power to walk on 2 legs?
Kind of scary these people are on the roads

the last clip is from my home town... theres an exit off the highway and years ago when building, they piled the dirt up really high and its a perfect ramp if you miss the bend. once you hit the "ramp" that shops parking lot sits about 40ft below the highway, so that car flew some 50 ft in the air before landing. he was fine... and this isnt the first time that its happened!

I am just happy for the person who found their lost rat. I can only imagine what a relief that would have for their family.
I'd have whacked that rat.
It's pretty clear from the start when you find a lost pet rat as opposed to a wild one. A pet will either approach you or at least stick around at what it considers a safe distance for an unfamiliar human. A wild rat would have immediately bolted the moment its hiding place was discovered.

That Super Bird is a impressively expensive incident. 2:55 That kind of customer needs to be refused service, but the nature of the business will always allow it. I'm glad that I have the option to refuse work on something unreasonable like that, but usually if I do, another tech in the shop does take it and I might end up smelling it anyway.
