    After researching compact tractors a lot, I decided to buy a 2860m from my local dealer. No buyer remorse at all! Your videos were a big part of my research. Getting 3rd function, loader, snow blade, 400 pounds of cast iron wheel weights, 2 rear remotes, engine block heater, standard cab, radio, hydro trans. Maybe a rear snow blower and grapple bucket too. Never have enough toys! Thanks Doug!

    Doug, how does diesel filter regeneration affect tractor abilities during the regen? Why would there be a reason to push the button and delay regeneration? Does the auto regeneration take control of engine speed or something like that?

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  Před 3 lety +1

      Doesn't effect Tractor Performance in a Massey Ferguson. Delay Regen is for when Regen happens around Flammable Materials or when using in Enclosed Structures as higher volume of exhaust will be released and warmer temperature. Or you have a commitment that will limit the regen to be completed normally 30 to 45 minutes. Auto Regen all you have to do is move the throttle so the RPM are within the Orange Band on the Tach and it will take control. That's the best way to do it is just let the tractor do Auto-Regen. But the user still has control in certain situations.

    Hello, I recently bought a 2850m with the backhoe. Overall, I'm very happy with the tractor, and your videos were a great help in my decision to purchase it over the competition. I am, however, having a fairly significant problem when trying to hook up 3-point implements. The subframe for the backhoe seems to always be in the way of the 3 point arms when they are attached to an implement. Specifically, I just hooked up my meteor snowblower, and the 3-point arms actually scrape the backhoe subframe as I drop the blower to the ground. I have played with the 3-point bottom link adjustments, but nothing seems to solve the problem. It almost seems like this is a design fault by MF. I'd be grateful for your expertise on how to solve this significant problem. Perhaps a video tutorial? I'm sure many folks would appreciate that so that they don't run into the same problem as me. Thanks in advance!

    Awesome video overview! I've seen on several forums and videos what seems to be a common failure on the 1700s where the rear axel frame snaps at the lower three point arm connection. Has the axel frame casting been beefed-up in the new 1800 series to solve the problem?

    • @VahrenbergImplement

      I've never heard of an issue with 1700E or 1700M with Axle Frame & 3 Point. Just looked for AGCO Service Knowledge Object and there is no Service Documentation on that concern. If it was a concern there would be a Service Bulletin or Knowledge Object and there is none. This housing has been used for many generations. How in the heck are the using the tractor to damage that. Unless they not properly using it. Like too much slop in the stabilizers by not adjusting them. I would think with all the 1700 we have sold we would have heard of something but this a first to me.

    Thanks for the great videos of the 1800 and 2800 series. I used to own a MF1635 Hydro with a loader and a backhoe which I loved very much. I had it for 12 years (1600Hrs) and never had an issue with. Unfortunately I had to sell it as my work took me to an other country. I'm coming back home and I'm looking to buy a new MF compact tractor that is just slightly more capable than my 1635. So I'm wondering how the 1840M Hydro compares to my old 1635 has far as loader, backhoe and PTO horse power in general. May be I should go for the 2850, but that is a little bit more expensive. Thanks

      Depends on Capability Improvements your looking for. If it's Loader or 3 Point Lift Capacity 1835M/1840M are going to be the same. If it's PTO HP or Engine HP capabilities the 1840M will do more and the 2850M even more. Maybe you can share some of the items you want it to be able to do or increase in capabilities you want.

If your 2 Hours from Kansas City that is farther than we can service and we will not sell outside the area we can take care of our customers. We limit ourselves to 60 mile radius where we will sell. I can't get enough equipment to take care of the demand in my area of responsibility and sure don't want to sell outside of that and not be able to serve our local customers. Best thing is to PREBOOK with your local dealer...that is what I am having to do for my customers....signed retail order locks in price and promotions on future orders coming in or we are trading orders to get the product for our customers sooner. Retail Sold Orders take priority with Massey Ferguson.

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  Před 3 lety

      eHydro is a type of Hydrostat Transmission. The Hydrostat is Electronically controlled to offer more features and control versus less expensive mechanical controlled hydrostats.

    • @VahrenbergImplement

      Yes, But if you raise the Manual Throttle it sets the minimum for AutoThrottle. When using PTO implements you only have a little range that autothrottle helps keep you from stalling the hydrostat transmission.

To provide the high level of service you deserve when buying a new tractor, we limit our sale area to where we can Service and Support Our Customers, approximately 50 to 60 miles of Higginsville, MO. Taht is the Reason Why just about every video we tell viewers to visit their local dealer so they get the support they deserve when making an investment this big. • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  Před 2 lety

      Depends on how it's used. If low rpm use it will regen more often as increase soot is created in the engine. Normal use we are seeing 40 to 60 hours between regens. Best to warm engine before using lower rpm speeds does more natural regeneration and requires less regens.

      The first generation DPF had some issues but we are seeing trouble free service with the Current DPF on 1800 e/M Series Tractors. Just like everything you learn how to build better. The First Gen Diesel engines were super hard to start below 40° F but todays can be started in some cases below zero without assistance. Technology improves over time and there are many different style and ways DPF are built. AGCO helped ISEKI make this a Simple Operation and Designed to Last the Life of the Tractor and Guaranteed By Warranty for 5 Years!

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  Před 2 lety +1

      I actually have Purchased 2 Pickups because they have DEF and DPF because they get better fuel economy. They are roughly double the fuel mileage of previous truck I had without DEF & DPF...even with the additional horsepower (To Create Horsepower you have to add more Fuel). DEF/DPF Systems remove other precombustion engine exhaust reduction components like EGR that reduce the efficiency of the engine and treat it post combustion. Your going to have emission systems either before or after the combustion.
