    FLAKY CHICKEN EMPANADA is a popular “go to” food as an alternative to sandwich. It is very handy and does not require utensils to eat especially when you are in a rush.
    The FLAKY CHICKEN EMPANADA is crunchy, crispy and very delicious. It can also be an appetizer just like the Lumpiang Shanghai. It will match any kind of drinks.
    The video involves two sections: the making of empanada filling and dough. The preparation and cooking of the FLAKY CHICKEN EMPANADA are shown in detailed or step-by-step. BTW, the secret to making the empanada flaky is also revealed.
    Cooking the FLAKY CHICKEN EMPANADA uses three different techniques. These are the traditional frying, baking, and air frying. These are also shown in the video.

    CHICKEN EMPANADA FILLINGS
    Ingredients
    2 C cooked and flaked chicken
    5 cloves garlic, minced
    1 medium onion. diced
    1 medium potato. Diced
    1 medium carrot. Diced
    ⅓ C sweet peas
    ¼ C raisins
    1 T sugar
    1 T condensed milk
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Pinch Magic Sarap
    2 T cooking oil
    EMPANADA DOUGH
    Ingredients
    Mixture 1:
    1 kg bread flour
    180 g refined sugar
    10 g salt
    104 g unsalted butter
    500 g water
    1 pc. Egg
    Mixture 2:
    200 g bread flour
    125 g shortening
    For Frying:
    2-3 C cooking oil

    Bakit po mukhang sunog sunog mapaoven o deep dried sya?

      Hello Liria, sa deep fry isa o dalawa ang nagkaroon ng burnt marks (strips lang) the rest are OK. Hindi namang sunog na sunog. Sa umpisa ng frying pwedeng mangyari ito. Kaya dapat mindful tayo. Perfect ang pag bake sa oven. Siguro yung napansin mo yung sa air fried (May air fryer feature ang oven ko). Toasted ang kinalabasa pero hindi naman sunog na sunog.
