- There are no science on this one and personally I think errrbody should know how to replace brake pads and rotors. This DIY is on a 2015 Honda Civic (9th Gen) however, the same concept works on most cars.

Yeah, pretty pointless. They wear faster than the original. All for a "look".
The brakes are horrible on these cars
@@congestedgoblin2575 with better pads those rotors will absolutely out perform a stock rotor in stopping power … never had Amazon ones but I’ve had ‘lower tier’ slotted/drilled rotors on numerous different cars, you get what you pay for, typically I choose these rotors because they’re usually cheaper than an OE style rotor and if you invest in good pads and do the ‘bedding’ procedure right they work very well actually.
I will say that the cheaper versions and also the versions that are ‘slotted & drilled’ have a higher tendency to warp and/or not perform as well for as long - I prefer slotted only when I have options.
At the end of the day they’re new brakes, it’s going to stop better than before period (as long as he installed them and bed them correctly)
