The f2p Pyro in the movie he's infected after the blood tests are done when he's standing guard at the door later he's infected off screen with mountains of evidence dumbass and John that made the damn movie said one was infected at the end with all the evidence for child's. Don't spread false info at least say it's your opinion I'm sick of it. And this comic is not canon by the way. Why the hell do people think it is? Because of false info people like you spread around.

That plot twist honestly made me just, internally die inside of fear and confusion and some sort of disbelief. Crazy.
I read this back in the day. I always remember that panel in the last issue where the zombie doctor smother the soldier's faces and assimilates them. Literally haunted my nightmares for years! The comics are fun and actually quite smart. I think the quality of drawings in the earlier issues were incredible and this iteration was fine but not as beautiful.
I feel like childs was probably dead after the sub but the thing assimilated his corpse and used it

Maui Randall he had his finger cut and his blood tested in the arctic base already (the 3rd one) and he was clean. A thing can’t fake having clean blood.
Started watching these comic series after CZcams searches led here and well I'm hooked, now I wishing there is an actual live action movie sequel of The Thing.

The Thing is my favorite horror film of all time. The prequel was pretty decent minus the poor cgi in some places
Man, I love that they did a series of comics and the prequel. The ending of the original movie left me pissed off, I tried playing the PS2 game years ago but didnt finish it. I wish they brought it back to game consoles.
The only "thing" I'll say is that I wish you numbered the stories. Also your channel is awesome!!!!

this thing sorta reminds me of the anime Parasyte
President Roosevelt II pretty sure Parasyte is the Japanese version of The Thing, just with its own interesting twist of the main character and the alien forming a partnership.

i think the thing is actually from the future and that it needs to assimilate humans so that are dna ca handle a new coming ice age hence with the dna sequencer in the prequel and the appearen of the insect like creatures that are its initial ice block form

Of course, once the Thing got to such an organic rich environment as a jungle, it just has to take off into the jungle and start assimilating every life form it comes across. Still, an interesting series.

The way I understand it each cell is sentient, so when some separate from the main body they become different individuals, and develop their own need for self preservation.
Which is why you constantly see them sacrificing other "Things." As long as the one doing the sacrificing doesn't get caught, it doesn't care if the other one dies.

Every monster is part of the whole "Thing" and each separate individual can replicate themselves, so it doesn't matter if a part or two get burned/sacrificed if it means the overall creature gets to succeed and infect more people.
It's like spending 5$ knowing that you'll get 100$ down the line, a worthy sacrifice.
