@Nick Also, his ability will work when a friendly ship attacks the ship in his bulls eye. He can spend 1 Force per opportunity.
Not just friendly ships, kylo's ability will work with bombs and asteroids too. :O
You will never see this Kylo over the silencer, unless the list cant afford him otherwise.
Ooooohhhhh man!!! This new Kyle is like a breath of fresh air for me for the first order. I think with how the ship looks and his ability, either put him in an alpha strike or the heavy hitter in a three ace build.
Looks like autothusters will be a good upgrade
I think him + 4 bombers with concussion bombs will be interesting. If you eat a concussion bomb you take a face up card, or you take a face up card and a strain.
2 green dice for defense is pretty rough for a TIE. If this is able to cloak, that would be a big boost to its ability to defend and reposition as well. Still a bit hard to judge without the full spread of upgrades or its dial. Kylo's ability I think will be more reliable now that it just triggers while he is attacking any target, instead of having to chase down whomever you placed the condition token and your opponet just flys off.
You also have the jamming suite to jam an enemy or friendly ship (or yourself) and as long as they are in the attack arc you get another die.
@@Fazraq Losing a focus or an evade by using that on yourself to get that to trigger is slightly worse than than rolling 3 dice while naked. You are also still relying on your one positioning action and your Initiative to win the day... There are too many I5/6 pilots in the meta with more tools that you have to contend with... it still pretty rough
Yeah new Kylo is so much squishier than the silencer, with one less health and one less green dice it will take a lot less to kill it.
@@icholi88 yeah I'm not saying it's better or worse than what we already have, but you can still get 3 greens plus force.
It's going to come down to cost between the Kylos, but I am excited to fly this ship.
@@Fazraq this ship is supposed to be an upgrade to the Interceptor, using upgrades to make something it should be is bad design. I’m not calling it dead, but Silencer Kylo is just more reliable, you always have 3 die for offence and defence and you can reposition to not get shot at if you need to. This ship will need to be ETA Obi priced to be used.
A lot of the latest waves have been pretty disappointing in ship design lately, how many new ships are being used in tournaments such as those run by GSP?
Howdy Nick & Justin! Love the videos you guys make, and super appreciate that you guys are genuinely into the game, it really translates into fun, quality content.
I've been playing X wing for a bit, but mostly because I fancy all the miniatures. So while I'm pretty familiar with most of the simpler mechanics, some of the more technical nuances evade (haha) me, and make it hard to explain some things (like how tractor tokens work) to my friends who are just getting into the game. I think you two could make a great series explaining some of the more intricate ship and pilot abilities for intermediate players, breaking everything down and showcasing things like how to properly perform the Defender's 'Interloper Loop', fielding several Nantex fighters, and getting the all-important action economy to it's highest level. Somewhat complicated things like that. Just a random thought from a fan :)
Anyhow, thanks for the fun videos, and I look forward to whatever you guys create next!

If there is a second config that keys you cloak Kylo would be unstoppable. Think three force on a phantom
I am 100% certain they will never touch the cloak mechanic again, unless it is super heavily restricted, just because of how broken Whisper is and how many times they had to nerf the frame.
Hopfully it wont have the same decloak shenanigans. I think the frames are different ENOUGH, but yeah combining cloaking with force is playing with fire.
You forget Terek in the Xi can give it a cloaking device. Not as powerful by def something to consider
Kylo should have been an initiative 6 so he can be a better Ace.
Can someone please bring up the fact that the diagonal markers on the cardboard base for the tie whisper are not there!!!!!!!
Given the noise the fans are already making over it, and the fact that these are just rendered mockups, I didn't think it was worth mentioning. Will be sure to bring it up if it has indeed filtered through to the final product.
Are there going to be more hanger Bay content? Found it very useful as a new player but so out of date for new meta
Scheduling became a nightmare for doing the regular content that took heaps of input like the Hangar Bar. Yes I'm keen to revisit them, but I need to re-evaluate how we produce them.

PRockets can't shoot backwards.

Sooooo built in marksmanship but at the cost of a force? Hmmmm....
Works on himself and other's attacks. Also with works with bombs. Way more powerful than marksmanship.
