I disagree, don’t forget OGS finished 2nd in his last full season in charge. ETH has come in spent £200M and they’re still susceptible to getting hammered. So Ole was manager 3 years, finished second in his final season though still got less points than ETH did in his first season in charge, while having no striker for half of the season and still winning a trophy, getting to another final and a semi final. Clearly the club is going in a better direction than under Rangnick and Solskjaer, if you disagree then you're speaking out of club hatred / tribalism rather than logic

the list doesn't end there XD Marcelo was 19, so was Sergio Ramos, while Camavinga and Fede Valverde were 18 - it doesn't end there and I haven't even mentioned one player, that came through the youth system and there are loads of them as well - both young and old in this squad. I love how no one talks about the amount of premier league players/managers who have came up to Scotland and flopped because they thought it was ‘easy’ . The difference between scottish and English football isn’t just quality but it’s a completely different style of football that managers/players need time to adapt too
In my opinion, Liverpool will be the ones to challenge city again. They will sort the midfield out. Their attack is scary and Trent going into midfield when in possession is going to cause problems next season. Also, they have Klopp and that is a huge factor.

I’m actually really happy with this analysis except for one point, I know it was mentioned but Steven Gerard’s rangers played really well in a season with no fans, where clubs and football were in disarray especially up in Scotland. We have had many exceptional managers at Celtic in my lifetime but postecoglu’s impact and changes he has made in the timeframe he has has been second to none. And we underestimated him when he got here too so just putting a warning out there to all premier league supporters who don’t know the man or what he is about. But he is a truly special manager who rebuilds to exceptional results where ever he goes. I hope this appointment after a while puts more respect on Scottish football especially Celtic FC as I’m dead certain ange will succeed where so many have failed and prove everyone wrong once again. Keep up the good work guys and hopefully yours and the rest of the prem’s minds shall change about this legend in the making.

The "cauldron" of Spurs... having managed an Old Firm side, that aspect will certainly not be a problem. I also don't think it's really a fair comparison using Gerrard either. He was ultimately a brand new manager, who part way through his second tenure lost his key tactician and support in Beale. He lacked the experience to fall back on to change things. Postecoglu has been a manager for approaching 30 years, has managed in four different countries and been a national manager. While he's still making a jump in terms of quality of league, he has a vast knowledge and experience to draw from. As a Rangers fan I was disappointed, but none the less very impressed at how quickly he righted the ship again at Celtic. He brought in extremely effective signings and completely revamped their style of play within a couple of months. If Levy backs him, I think he'll do well.

Some people just don't want to accept reality over Bruno he's an amazing creator. And kane, Kim min-jae and possibly Mount or rice and a creative goalkeeper puts united possibly close with city in the title race.

Marvin is right to an extent. Kane's 30 goals will not add to Rashfords 30 and Bruno's 20. He's also right that kane and rice alone will not be enough to challenge. But him dismissing varane and Bruno is outrageous, they've been 2 our best players along with casemiro Martinez and possibly rashford. United need 4-5 players (striker, number 8, GK, backup 6 and backup CB) and if Kane isn't pushing for a transfer, move on to the next target. We can't afford another de jong/ Sancho saga.
Bruno had the 2nd most xA in the league and was miles off of that in assists. Why? Cause nobody finishes his chances. Bruno gets 10 more assists if Kane plaus

But there's only a certain number of goals a team can score over a season and the rest of the guys aren't exactly Messi neymar suarez to be putting up such high numbers. What's more important is to bring in 4-5 good quality players. If we can do it in addition to Kane, I'm more than happy. But if you give me a choice of (kane + rice) or (Hojlund, mount, rabiot, kim min jae, Costa) I'm picking the second because we need numbers.

@@MrPink713 Bruno is better at penalties so there's no reason to think that he won't be taking them still, Kane also wins more penalties than Martial and Weghorst, hard not to see a world where Bruno does not maintain his 10-15 goal a season average. Don't know why they said anything about him scoring 20, he did that one time when United had lots of pens lol he only scored 4 penalties last season and none the season before, so he gets 10 from open play regardless of penalties.
Rashford was the only one scoring. Let's just say Uniteds goal output is that of Tottenham this season, which is probably fair. That's still 12 more goals over the course of the season. Draws turn to wins, losses turn to draws, etc.
Bruno is a top 3 creator in the league with Odegard and KDB. If he has two options of Rashford and Kane to feed AND they get some production of the right flank there are 80+ goals in that squad.

He must have forgot about vini and rodrygo and Valverde. Vini was brought in as a youngster, now look at him one of the best in the world. Rodrygo is class and playing out of position and Valverde is world class as well, Valverde has been at the club since 2017 as an 18yr old playing for castilla, then loaned out for 1 season at 19. Madrid is not the same as it once was before where they only buy finished products they've been developing youngsters for years now.

Marvin lets his bitterness cloud his common sense. Man United do not have an ageing squad by any stretch, through their spine they have Casemiro, 31 & Varane, 30. Rashford, Antony, Fernandes, Shaw, Garnacho, Martinez are all a good age and will be there long term. Every team needs some senior players. If Man United replace De Gea properly and buy a decent striker they are instantly a problem to everyone. Building a top class 22 man squad doesn't happen in a year and a half, that takes time. Man City have De Bruyne, 32 who just tore his hamstring clean off, Gundogan, 32 and leaving, Walker 33. There is no such thing as a world class squad without senior players. Ironically it's the very thing that's hurt Arsenal and made them bottle the title, no senior leadership.

United problem is there is so much dead wood. Fred , Martial, Sancho, Sabitzer, Weghorst , Jones , Lindelof and Wan Wissaka. Players who have been there for years on high wages with no resale value. You would be lucky to get £70m for them.
We do, but you are highlighting the wrong players. Sabitzer and Weghorst are loan players, so they are gone. Jones ran out his contract this summer, so he is gone. Fred is a decent bench player, could get 30 mil and Wan Bissaka and Lindelof have had a decent season, again can be bench options to get 30 mil each if we sell. We need to focus on getting rid of Maguire, Telles, Tunzabe, williams, henderson, martial, sancho before we look at getting rid of the decent players for world class

the list of players, who got into Madrid at a young, or relatively young age and got played is HUUUUUGE, just because some of Real's scraps, that got rejected in the process, or were too weak mentally to fight for their place in the squad (like Ozil or Odegaard) became your best players doesn't mean, that Real doesn't trust the youth. It just means, that Assenal is getting players, that were below Madrid's standard.
