- We took the Riese & Müller MultiTinker out on a VERY cold commute from Nailsea to Queen Square in the centre of Bristol.
It is possibly one of the coolest e-bikes I have experienced and certainly the bike where I have been stopped and asked what it is. So what is it like? Well, both Rufus and I are impressed with its flexibility for cargo and or children.

Really enjoying these "Dan and Rufus Show" videos. Excellent ideas, camera, banter, and of course R&M bikes. Right now the best such content on CZcams. Brilliant job chaps. Looking forwards to the Packster 70 full suspension edition.
Thank you from France!
You are welcome!
Amazingly beautiful filming again.
Ha my 30 seconds of fame 😂 Decent bike!?! How dare you! 🤨😆✌🏽
Like the lack of crossbar, almost a step thru'.
Good video too.
Thanks
Enjoyed watching the commute. Would be interested in seeing you compare the multi-tinker vs multi-charger in a commute with heavy load.
Great idea, we will put it on our list.
Impressive bike! Am I right in saying that with e-bikes the realistic max range is more likely to be nearer half of the manufacturers estimates particularly over mixed terrain and with hills etc. I was told their figures are theoretical and under ideal conditions! With my new Tesla I still have range anxiety, I don’t know how one would cope with a heavy e-bike if the battery died or went flat miles from anywhere. Your answer to this would be much appreciated, thanks in advance. 😀👍
It depends how the manufacturer is estimating the range. Bosch are pretty good at not over selling the range you can expect and offer a handy tool to help you estimate your range based on lots of different factors that could reduce it. It’s far more detailed than most car manufacturers. Thanks for the video. I’m thinking about buying one and was wondering whether there is room for a small pannier (Thule 13l or Ortlieb city) with a child seat at the back. I have two kids (2 and 5) and just want to know if carrying them means that I cannot use any pannier at the same time.
Thanks Carlos. If your kids are sitting directly on the bench seat, you can put a pannier onto the rails with no problem. If you're using a child seat, you'd need to check that it doesn't clash with where you're attaching the pannier. Depending on where you are, you can pop into our showroom in Bristol if you'd like to take a look.
How tall are you ?
Just over 6ft
I don't really care anymore. R&M bikes are not that "finely made" compared to other E-bikes and way too expensive.
Great video. Question: Do you also sell Tern? If so how does the Multi-Tinker compare to the Term GSD R14? I'm a huge R&M fan who is just tryin to make the best decision for my needs.
Hi Jim, we don't sell Tern but we do have experience of them. The Tern R14 packs quite a hefty price tag in comparison to the Multitinker. It does have a Rohloff hub where as the Multitinker is available with an Enviolo Belt Drive or a chain and derailleur version. The Multitinker does have the benefit of the new Bosch Smart System which is constantly improving. Do give us a call, or come in and see us and we can talk you through all the other differences and show you the Multitinker or you can give one a try.
@@EDEMOElectricBikes the Tern also comes with derailleur and Enviolo belt options and is considerably cheaper than the Multitinker. Both are of high quality but there are more accessories for the Tern available. Tern also uses the Gen 4 Cargo Bosch system.
