I lost my dad last year Jan. His sudden demise left me numb and depressed.... I was like a zombie going through life like an automaton. My daughter introduced me to BTS to divert my mind.... It was with Spring Day that BTS helped me let out my pent up emotions and tears.... I cried after 2 months of being 'strong and stoic' for my mother's sake! I actually discovered BTS this year, it was right after their Grammy performance! To be honest, I saw a picture of Taehyung at the grammys and my jaw dropped lmao I only wanted to learn their names but I’m in way too deep now 😂
I was already into kpop, and BTS was just another debuting rookie group. But I liked the hiphop sound, and the dancing was good... they were just a little different than the other groups. They captured my attention, so I followed them on YT, and... that was it. I had found MY group, the ones I connected with, and I'm still here years later.

I got introduced to BTS by my friends in 2017 but I wasn't that interested in them, but in 2020 when the pandemic happened I started binge-watching the carpool karaoke series by James Corden and BTS was one of the guests and they were so entertaining and funny I kept watching the video over and over again and decided to watch their variety show RUN BTS and I fell in love with their personalities and their bond and chemistry with each other, after that I started listening to their music and lyrics, and it was so good, I regretted not giving them a listen back in 2017.💜
The first song that got me into the music side of BTS was Lie and Filter and then I got interested in the rap line and Ddaeng was my first rap line song and then I was so interested in the rap line that I listened to Agust D-2 mixtape and the lyrics and songs were so good, and the Cyphers wowww.

Well, I was introduced to them when I was just scrolling through the youtube trending list and I noticed that a song named "Stay Gold" has been trending in my country for too long. I already knew that BTS are some people from Korea and are extremely popular. That day, out of curiosity I heard "Stay Gold" and the chorus part just stayed in my head. I was immediately in love with the song and addicted to it as well. That's when I searched more about them and heard "Your eyes tell". After hearing it I was so in love with their voices and turned into and ARMY. It was an amazing decision. They are literally the best people to stan. They deserve all the love.
I learn about BTS not because I'm interested in kpop, but I was in a school taekwondo club in highschool. In 2017 we wanted to choreograph some moves for the school sports day, and I searched everywhere on CZcams for inspiration and I found K Tigers, I watch their Taekwondo version of BTS- Fire and BST choreography. And I like the song. Then I interested in searching the original mv, from that day I started listening to BTS but as a casual listener. In 2018, Fake Love was my first comeback and I love it so much but I never stream. My first stream was BWL, because that time I'm allowed to have my own phone.
😭😭😭 For me, it all started with a simple Korean homework assignment on KPop. The first thing that came up when I searched it was Nam Joonie's UN speech. I was blown away by his poise and eloquent words. What touched my heart more was their message of self-love and anti-bullying campaign. As a teacher, I knew I had to get on board with these 7 boys. What I didn't know was how I personally was going to be affected by them. Their wisdom (beyond their years), their openness to be real, and the continual encouragement of "Love Yourself", has been a strength to me through the darkest two years of my life. God truly has used them to push me through. They have made me laugh and cry. Through joy and sorrow, we have journeyed together and they helped me "BE" a stronger person. God keep them safe and grounded to continue on their own journey. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🙏🏼✝️
How crazy is it that this amazing video is outdated already? From their BBhot100 #1 with Life goes on (a korean song) and the other records they have broken with the realease of BE, to their grammy nomination for Dynamite and their daesang sweep at the 2020 MMA and MAMAs!!!! They will continoue to grow and I can't describe how proud I am of them.
How i got introduced to BTS: i was looking for behind the scenes clips after finishing watching Hwarang (something i always do after completing any series or show that i liked) and was too lazy to type the complete words. What came out was crazy clips of this dude naman taehyung with his awesome group of friends. Then i got hooked and fell down the rabbit hole utterly and completely 😆😆😆

So, here goes my story of how I was first introduced to BTS in 2017
I was at school and I decided to go visit my friend in her room. After visiting her, I was about leaving her room when she told me to come and watch a Korean music video. I remember asking her if they sang in Korean and she said yes and I said "why should I be listening to Korean music? How would I understand what they are saying?" but she still forced me to watch it. The music video she showed me was blood, sweat and tears. As I was watching it I remember thinking:
1) Their makeup is too much
2) They wear dangling earrings?
3) I'm not understanding what they are saying (my friend downloaded the video with no subtitles) but their dancing is fire though.
Finally, I remember cringing at the part Jin kissed the statue and it was at that moment I said I wasn't watching again.
After that day, my friend still tried to turn me into an Army by making me watch other music videos like DNA, Gogo, and Mic drop but I was still not totally vibing with their music that much. So, on my own, I went on CZcams and watched a lot of personality and introduction videos of them and that's when I loved them. Their wholesome, genuine and lovely personality is what made me love them and give their music a second chance.
Looking back now, I can't imagine how I didn't like their songs, judging with the fact that Mic drop and DNA are part of my favorite songs from them.
I learned about BTS from a friend of mine. She is crazy for BTS and just kept telling me about their music. I never paid much attention to what she said but when I first heard them, I realised I had already become a fan. I just live how they have meaning behind each thing. And now probably, I am an army!!💜

Well I watch this CZcams channel called LankyBox and they make Kpop zero budget videos. I ended up watching they're zero budget compilation of BTS and one song caught my attention. It was boy with luv. I searched it at CZcams and started watching more of there songs until I was ARMY. 🙀

How I got introduced to BTS: in 2014 I was watching an anime called bleach and was on CZcams , at the same time BTS dropped their album and single Boy In Luv and that was in my recommendations, so I watched it saw V and was hooked and here I am 6 years later
Question of the day: the very first song I heard from them was Dope on 2017, because one of my friends wanted me to become an Army but I never heard any other song from them besides Dope (yeah, I was one of those close-minded persons), until September 2018 when I listened to Idol on the radio for about 8 times and I loved that song so much. So I looked it up on youtube and I was like "oh! So It's a song from this group my friend was telling me about. Let's see what they've got". I couldn't stop listening to that song and some others like Not Today, Fake Love and Mic Drop. And that's when I FELL IN LOVE with BTS and my whole life changed, and from that moment I started my journey through the whole kpop world💜✌🏻
I have been an ARMY since 2013. I saw their debut stage and was instantly floored. Their image was so strong and so different. I think what made me interested was the heavy rap, because at that time idol rap was “mostly” reserved for 1-2 members who have difficulty singing. Of course, the song, the vocals, the choreo and the visuals were dope. But BTS rap line was so different and hard hitting that I had no choice but to check them out. And then I read the lyrics to their full album and the rest was history I guess.
But what made me stay was their growth. I’m the same age as RM and J-hope and I felt real connection with their songs. It felt like they were putting into lyrics the words/feelings that I find hard to express. It felt like I was growing and evolving with them, fellow ARMY always say that you’ll find BTS at the moment you need them the most and it’s true. In every song and album they help me... just live.

I actually always heard of them and just thought they were another boy band and also they sing in korean so how would I understand?? and how wrong I was!!one day i got " the bts carpool karaoke "on my recommendations and clicked to see what was all this hype about then i watched bts being extra af in america and I realized how wrong I was stereotyping them and then the rest is history! the only good happened to me this year was discovering bts💜☺
I became an ARMY in May/june 2017, but I had actually seen a reaction video of Dope back in 2015 (CZcamsrs react to K-pop 3 on the FBE channel). I remember listening to the song for weeks, I was so fascinated by the music, their dancing etc. I had never seen anything like it before. But I was busy with college and I never really got into BTS. After I graduated in early 2017 I fell into a slump. I was unemployed for a long time and because of that, I felt so insecure about myself. One night I was watching the BBMAs on TV in 2017 and I saw BTS (they were nominated for their first Top Social Artist). I recognized them and seeing them attend the BBMAs peaked my curiosity about them, and so I started researching; I watched all their MVs and listened to their discography, read their lyrics etc. I got deep into the BU theories, it was so exciting! I also started watching all their Bangtan Bombs and Vlive content. I love watching them again from time to time. I wanted to know more about BTS, and before I knew it, I was so enchanted by their music and their personalities. They helped me get out of my slump. Of course I wish I would've stanned them sooner back in 2015, but I found them when I needed them the most. I’m so happy that I now have all seven of them in my life.

I was just curious at first why they are so popular. Kim Seokjin caught my attention, then I began to learn more about him the most. Then got to know more about bts as a group. Jin’s story has inspired me the most because he literally started from zero singing and dancing skills plus the fact that Jin has a very good personality, that’s why i like him so much. And right now, Jin is a good dancer and his vocals is exceptional! ❤️❤️❤️

I am 17 years old at that time when I met BTS' music. It was way back 2013. My old friend introduced them to me which is newly debuted group at that time. No More Dream is the first music video that I watched. But, their first album nor the MV is not enough for me to be an ARMY. They got my attention so I dive deeper and I found School of Tears. It is a pre-debut track. It was sung by RM, Jin and Suga. The song talks about bullying in school which is a sensitive topic for me because I was a victim for 10 years that made me have social anxiety and be claustrophobic. That song started my journey as an ARMY. That time also I on my verge of throwing my life. Their sincerity that they put in their songs saved me from that. And they became my pillars since then. I am 24 years old now and a college graduate. I never thought I will ever survive this cruel world 7 years ago but here I am still alive. They change my perspectives about life that make me fight for it. I really love BTS.

I became an army since 2018 and one of my friends was their fan from 2015, she was trying to introduce them to me but I didn’t have much interest of them bc I was a fan of Bigbang. The artist named G-dragon in the video was the leader of that group and I supported them until around 2015. Since Bigbang was so successful and being the top korea boy band at that time, I felt like its not necessary to love another kinda new group and also I did not love their style from 2013-15 that much lol...
The real reason that made me notice bts was Namjoon his personality and emotional side attracted me, then I started the research of this group. But I became an official army after seeing Jimin in blood sweat & tears mv, he looked so different from the idols I loved before but there was something special about him that I fell in love so much. And after knowing all the members it’s very hard to not love them so since then I supported bts until now. So no matter how long we have to wait for them, we will always be there and bts will be the only group which I put all love into for my life.

QOTD: I got to know about bts in 2016 when i was 9, i still remember that day......it was september my house was getting painted and i was really bored and i was about to sleep when my sister called me out towards her , i asked her "what ?" she took her earphones and gave them to me and told me to put them in and i did it she increased the volume gave me her phone and when i looked down BOOM! I saw the starting of BST when they all are just sitting and staring into the camera and i was speechless cuz they looked soo beautiful and passionate , and then i heard bts for the first time and i fell in love with them. I loved dancing since i was like 4 or 5 and when i saw their dancing it inspired me alott to become a dancer and i still am working on my dancing and later that day i searched up bts and read everything about them and i was impressed, my sister made me learn their names😭😂 everyday she would ask me to name all the bts members 😂, later that day i saw many bts videos and introduction videos and after a month or 2 i was fully into them. later on , i got bullied in my school i used to cry alot i didnt tell anyone about it that was the time when bts realeased LOVE YOURSELF:HER and that was the time when i got more and more attached to them and thought of them as my other family , i just want to thank my sister for introducing them to me if it werent for her i would not have known about these 7 men who literally changed my life and made me feel happier💜💜 i speak alot sorry 😂

*Jin is very intelligent. He got accepted into konkuk university which has a very low acceptance rate faster than his peers. He is very intelligent and he did attend as much as he could even though he debuted. According to Metro Seoul (and translated by BTS fan Soo Choi), Namjoon, Yoongi, Hobi, Mochi and Taehyung went to Hanyang Cyber School. They enrolled for Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program in Advertising & Media at the university. Jin had entered the university in 2017 and has been on a break. It has been revealed that RM, Suga and J-Hope entered the first semester in 2020 whereas TaeTae and ChimChim entered the second semester in 2020. Meanwhile, Jungkook is a Global Cyber University student majoring in Entertainment & Broadcasting*

My friend was an exo-l,it's the first time I heard about kpop,however my first kpop group is twice i liked their mvs so much and my bias was dahyun,actually I found a ship video of dahyun and jimin,even though I've heard about bts I wasn't that interested in them,after seen that ship video,I watched bst mv,it was so good and I just watched their videos,this was end of 2016,I don't know exactly when I became an army but I was impressed about the song sea,epiphany was the song that make me realize that I'm an army,their music helped me a lot during my difficult times,their music was the first thing make me get into them,now their single photo can make me happy,they are my happy pills💜💜💜

i came across bts back in 2014 when i came back home from boarding school for a monthly break. american hustle life was on tv at that time and i don’t remember which episode, but just one day was being played at the end of the episode and i got ‘hooked up’ with the song. it all began with “i just wanna listen to the song again” and the rest is history 😌

I was introduced to BTS in 2017. I was having a hard time mentally, but then my friend showed me kpop, which made me fall in love with them and made me get better
I was first introduced to BTS when I was in college, 19 that time, 24 now. I was a lyrical dancer back then, and used to watch American dancers for inspiration. Though I already know kpop since elementary, I haven't had the experience of getting deeper into a group, not until I casually saw their BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS dance practice on my fb feed. I was really looking for a unique style of dancing, and since watching that dance practice, I got hooked up immediately, and then the rest was a history. Yes!
Their hip hop stage was one of the best imo. I often go back to their older music because that's what made me fall in love with them as a group in the first place. Songs like Hip Hop Lover, We On, Look Here, and Second Grade etc are so underrated. Not to mention their mixtapes, a lot of newer ARMY don't even search that far back into their career, so they miss out.
I was introduced to BTS with the song and mv of RUN. I am happy and proud of all their accomplishments.

I dont know if this sounds chessy but meeting bts is a destiny for me. i was so depressed this year due to all the events that were going on and i couldnt concentrate on my studies. i used to engage in self harming activites and felt so low of myself , i met them during 7 anniversary and i was curious and wanted to find out more about them. i never again in my life after that , never harmed myself. my parents dont get why i love them or why i spend more time watching them. even if i have bad day , they just brighten my day and helped me love myself. familia , you feel like my second family and love you so much. i am happy to be a part of this

Im one of the people in their first fan meeting and to be honest I’m not one of their called “army” yet at that time, my friend just ask me a favor to accompany her at their fan meeting and I saw the passion in their eyes as they talk and communicate with their fans amazed me. Since then I became curious about them and starting to watched their videos and I could say since the very start I saw the potential in this group and decided to stay with them until the very end because I believed in them.... telling my story on how I became one of their fan ~ I mean, I was with them from the very start. I just can’t explain my emotion right now.. I’m so proud of them, from my baby boys until the BTS that everyone’s talking about makes me so damn happy 💜
I learned about BTS while I was watching another K-pop group, they where big at that time. Dope was my first song I heard from them. Ever since then I became a fan.💜💜 Now I am proud to be an Army.
I was so into BAP during 2013.. BAP was one of the most famous groups during that time, and No More Dream was in the suggestions and i got curious and clicked it, and the rest is history. I am never not emotional everytime they achieve something new. It's very overwhelming. Proud is an understatement. I remember them being first nominated on MAMA 2013 but not invited, crying for their first Rookie of The Year award on Melon, then on the first daesang. It just went by so fast and i literally watched them grow up, it's like i grew a child 🤣 but yes, so very very proud of them 💜
My story: I was initially introduced to 2nd generation of KPop groups but not into their music but more of their personalities as they participated to most of K-shows which I am mostly engaged with. Until I started to get interested with this big group at that time when they were introduced to public, that's when I dived into Kpop music. Until I met Dope, I didnt right away became a fan of Bangtan but I can say my story being an ARMY started there. As I slowly drifted away from the other group I started to check on BTS older songs which is my type of music - hiphop and I let myself drag down to the rabbit hole. The moment I slowly get to know how and when they started, my soft heart embraced them wholly. I wish at that time that I have known & supported them since the very beginning. But I came to realized what more important is that I am here now... as a Proud ARMY.

My first experience of BTS was june 2019. I was watching music channels while looking after my son, an advert was about to start but showed what song was next.
Boy with luv chorus started and seeing Taes blue hair and hearing how up beat it was, I was curious.
Then the sing started and thought this is a good song and added it to my playlist. Then I heard dionysius and thought woah, and I've been army since. My son liked blood sweat and tears, imagine a three year old singing it wrong as money money money. Now he loves 8 from IU and Yoongi.
I love the many moods each song takes you and helps with if your low or angry or just need a happy pick me up song.
Two years ago, I was having a hard time to the point I didn't even love myself. So a friend of mine sent me the song "Epiphany" and I fell in love with it, but I didn't consider myself an ARMY just for one song. A couple of weeks later, my best friend passed away. I was so depressed and broken. But one day, "Spring Day" was on my timeline and I have to say, I have never felt so comforted by a song until I heard this one. I discovered BTS watching The Jimmy Fallon Show and then The James Cordon Show I June 21 and Jimin jumped OUT of the TV and from that day I fell straight I to the RABBIT HOLE. Jimin's talent stood out then his image, looks and his I can't see you gorgeous smile. Of course all members are multi talented too. Since then I have gone back to 2013 and watched everything 3 times and still watching. 😇😊💙🐤😄👏💙💜

This video posted like 1 year ago, but I still wanna share my story on how I met BTS. I'm not into KPOP before, but my sister introduced BTS to me. it's just happened one day she came home after her school and she was like "oh i like this group name bts" "and I'm an army" and at first I was like "who cares?" everyday she watches bts videos and listened to their songs and then eventually boom one day i just literally woke up and I realized I'm starting to admire and love this group without me knowing it. I started become an army 2015 and I'm happy because some how I witnessed how they grow and I witnessed their first winning moment, up until now nothing has change my love and support to this group is still their, they have a huge impact to my mental health they help me to overcome my depression and anxiety, literally they have a huge part in my heart that no one can replaced.
I stumbled across an interview that they did while they were in America and couldn't stop laughing at how chaotic they were. After watching a couple more interviews that seemed just as crazy, I finally looked up their music. No regrets.
I started watching bts since 2014 My cousin is very addicted to Kpop so she liked every single Kpop idols and she also doesn't care if their in a small company when she saw bts she already fell for taehyung and In the past I didn't really care to any kpop songs so when she introduced me to bts I was like "wow this song is so good" then I started watching them in the same year which is 2014 we actually had to face a lot of hardships so I'm very proud
The first time I heard about BTS, it's way back 2013 where they debuted but I'm still at a very very young age at dat tym. it was my friend who introduces me to them I still remember when we used to jam BTS's songs even if we don't know exactly the lyrics😅. Jungkook was my bias at dat tym because of his voice and his aura at the mv's but as time goes by I watched a lot of BTS's contents I also got to watch their documentaries and dats the reason I became an OT7 stan and I'm proud of it!!! BTS isn't just a whole talent and visuals they're also funny, humble and the kindest person you'll meet and dats facts💜
