0:00 Intro
0:05 Very common issue to see and we've shown it a few other times on the channel. Also if you installed something and a new issue occurs such as your vehicle not starting, double-check what you just installed. Can always save you some time and money.
0:21 Translated text from French to English. The technician sent the work order to show that's what it actually came in for.
"It was just the height adjustment lever wasn't clicked in place."
0:32 "Best we can tell is since it has a new water pump, someone was refilling the degas tank and must have dropped it inside the air filter box or something. It was wedged into the throttle body pretty good."
0:44 The customer paid to get a used engine installed and then sold the truck a week later.
1:04 From what the technician was told, they apparently had a parts store install the battery. They installed a new battery and battery hold down. No other damages/fuses blown surprisingly. The customer had driven it to the shop.
1:16 Loose battery cable the whole time. The technician tightened it up and it fixed their issue.
1:23 From what the technician was told, apparently the customer had gasoline in a washer fluid reservoir in their garage and poured it in by accident.
1:29 The vehicle also had a fuel leak. The customer did not get anything repaired and drove away.
1:41 "I took my plasma cutter to it, burned all that popcorn off, and welded it on properly. Added some plate to the underside, threw those chains out and replaced them, etc."
1:50 "Banjo bolts provide an efficient way to seal fluid lines from leaking or contaminating other system parts."
2:00 Power steering rack was replaced.
2:10 No extra info.
2:20 The rear differential was damaged due to the customer driving over something.
2:34 The technician said it was compression fittings that were installed as well, that were leaking. They fixed the brake lines correctly and bleed the brakes. The customer did not want tires or other repairs.
2:51 The mechanic said he replaced the lower control arms as per the customer's request.
3:04 No extra info.
3:12 Outro. Thanks for watching! - Auta a dopravní prostředky

Hello world!
Nice
Enjoy!
Enjoy the new area and careful with your back ( no ouchies )
Moving is the worst thing to have to do.
I can't believe some of these people didn't drown in the rain as kids.
And now they vote and probably reproduce.
"equity" does this
That's an understatement. 😂
Agreed!! Probably future politicians that will try and tell/force the rest of how to live!!
some of them are so hollow they'll float in milk...
The guy who kept increasing the weight of the oil finally went......All In....😆 ✌️
Should have just poured hydraulic cement in and shipped it to the junkyard at that point.
almost all in he could have went 80 90 or straight to worm gear oil
Rev up your engines! Scotty Killmer
OMG that was so funny, too bad it couldn’t get to 85w-140
And still under warranty. You may not like dealership service, but by going to them, you'll at least get a new motor.
When you think you have seen absurd levels of stupidity and you feel it can't get any worse,
I see the next episode of Just rolled in 😂
Ah yes, Load-Bearing Expandable Foam. A staple of any mechanic's toolkit.
Expandable foam turns it into expendable suspension.
Staples are probably in the mechanics toolbox next to the zipties
@@clearcreek69 Everything holds perfectly, as long as you don't let the vehicle roll.
I see what the problem is. They used body work spray foam on the suspension. Rookie move.
It's an amazing body filler and fills any and ALL Midwestern weight reduction.
This channel feels like Daily Dose Of Internet, just for car stuff. Pretty relaxing.
They also post on the same days usually. I'm convinced they're brothers.
I watch both every time they post, it's like a routine. Lol
Relaxing?
These videos actually stress me out a bit coz of utter stupidity shown there.
But I still watch them anyway... That's, perhaps, coz I'm not very bright.
When I started CZcams I never heard of his channel but now my wife and I watch every video of his. Great stuff!
The only relaxing bit is that 99% of these people are in the US ... and I am NOT!
Salute to the guy who kept trying until he got to 75w90! He doesn't give up easy
Salute to that guy for being the biggest moron of the decade if not century.
Sure squeezed every last mile out of that engine! LOL! 🙂
He was using still sae40 viscosity , he donesn't even know how oil is measured haha
Should have just went for bearing grease at that point
I'm wondering if he changed the oil between viscosity changes or if just kept adding more oil.
When I worked at Autozone as a teenager we changed people's batteries in the parking lot if they bought one. I had one old man who had poured tar all over the top of the battery and the hold down. I probably spent an hour chipping away tar with the screwdriver until I could undo the hold down and battery terminals. There was no corrosion, but still!
Did you at least get a tip for it?
Jeez. Tell him to use lithium grease or something next time.
@@omahuvisoongaro1207 hell no, and we were instructed not to take tips. Like 7.15 an hour was supposed to be enough for us to live on.
@@fortunateson6070you and I must be about the same age… minimum wage was upped to $7.15 / hr. while I was working in an auto parts store. 😊
Oh… the stupidity of some people. 🤦🏻♀️
Why the hell would he use fucking tar? Why not just grease like a normal person?
The oil think reminded me of my grandpa. He had an old Ford Maverick. Motor was beyond shot. For prob the last 10k miles he was mixing the gas 50:1. He knew eventually the motor would Grenade but the car wasn’t worth putting any money into and he only drove it in our little town
Must have had some interesting clouds coming from his tailpipe!
Sometimes I wish I was dumb because it seems like life would be so much easier, but seeing stuff like this snaps me out of it. I never want to end up like some of these people.
I was going to say that one bad thing about being dumb is you will spend more time and money at the mechanic - but then I realized that for every dummy who gets their car on this channel, there are dozens or hundreds who are on the road every day with amazingly terrible vehicles.
Life would cost so much more if you were like these people.
The ironic thing is, most stupid people are rich lol
I sometimes wish I had blissful ignorance
@kenqui232 I agree
Im shocked how stable that last bmw looked while its wheel is that messed up
Quality German Engineering.
I wonder if it was mostly riding on the other 3 wheels. I can see how they wouldn't notice anything was wrong.
BMW....BIG MESSED WHEEL
Sad thing is, I've actually witnessed that kind of thing in person a couple of times.
I've had that exact thing happen on a BMW X1 (smaller model BMW SUV), it's a drive shaft gone bad most likely. At least was in ours when that happened... I was already very close to the dealership, due to the awful grinding noise it was making. Had to limp like that to the dealership. They took a brand new X1 of their own and installed the drive shaft from that into ours, because it would've taken so long to get the part from germany.
Videos like these are the reason when it snows here i always stock up on a weeks worth of food and dont drive unless i absolutly have to!!!!
I'm speechless. Humans just keep breaking world records with their professional car repairs.
It seems to me that we need to have more questions on the driver's test before you're allowed to get a driver's license
Drive test should be in two parts. First IQ test...
In Germany it's as tough as passing a paramedics test.
Can't calculate braking distance correctly in rain? Fail.
Absolutly they should have a maintenance portion added as well since some people clearly don't know where to pour their fluids. Like windshield washer fluid, oil, gas, radiator juice, blinker fluid. Tire checking should also be added, so many videos have people trying to inflate a blown up tire assuming they can even take that 8itch off to begin with 🤦🏽🤦🏽
And people should lose them far easier
@@frantheman1287maybe we just start at, use your turn signals....
A storm chaser I was watching live yesterday got nailed in an intersection when a truck blew through a stop sign because his brakes completely went out. It immediately made me think of these videos. "Customer declined all repairs."
Yikes, in an emergency you can still downshift an automatic transmission vehicle if your brakes go out, at least the older ones. I have a Dodge where you can downshift manually.
I had my brakes go out before but using a handbrake I was able to slow down and drive straight to a mechanic. Now I fluid Film all my vehicles and will replace the brake fluid when it gets too much water in it.
I'm starting to think there should be a trap door in the shop floor that's activated when they say that. Straight to the crusher
@@evognayr that is *incredibly* unlikely, like the odds of getting struck by lightning are greater than brake lines somehow invisibly rusting from the inside-out to the point of complete failure.
That’s also why we have dual brake systems, so the chance of them both failing simultaneously is remote.
"Customer declined all repairs" probably have to go through insurance and it will take more then a day and keeping the vehicle at the shop would cost money since they have storage fees.
These videos always make me feel better about my DIY skills. I'm still a noob, but I know for sure I’d never cut a control arm to make a part fit, or install a stud for a banjo bolt.
As it should. Your comments show you clearly have common sense to at least not break things if you are unfamiliar with something.
I once replaced an electric mirror on my Nissan primera 2.0. Bought the manual first, checked if I could do it, then bought the part and replaced the one I had, ah, totalled.
No way I'm touching anything more complex without someone with experience to guide me. And on the new cars I don't even bother, straight to garage it is :)
@@StCreed totalled???? by replacing a mirror?
Love this channel. Simple, direct, clear narration.
I love the people who have trouble after changing or adding something and don't think to reverse that and see if things work better. looking at you, Mr chrome button accents.
Disagree, to an extent. Many people lack proper diagnostic skills. Should he remove ALL the chrome and see if it starts? Assuming you knew nothing about key RFID systems, would you necessarily think to remove the ignition bezel chrome? If the key still turns (and I'm not sure if the RFID blocks the key cylinder turning or just prevents starting, since I've never had one fail), I could see why a person might not thing the key bezel was the issue.
I've seen it happen multiple times. The smart ones think it through and can figure it out, the dumb ones will tow it in. If they're nice enough, it's simple to peel off the stupid thing and ship the car. If they're an asshole about it, they'll get charged.
Years ago (about 1980) I had a friend who worked as a mechanic. He was doing a tuneup on a Dodge Dart and replaced the points, condenser, cap, rotor, plugs and wires. (You youngsters can Google those part names to see what they are!) When he finished, it wouldn't start so he had to go back and put the old parts in one by one to figure out what the problem was, as it ran when it came in. When he got to the rotor it started right up. He compared the two and discovered that the new one was mis-boxed, it was actually for a Ford and looked identical but fit 180º off from the Dodge rotor. I always thought that swapping rotors in that situation would be a great practical joke to play on someone, they'd never figure it out!

Gas in the wiper fluid tank. I guess that is better than wiper fluid in the gas tank! Just wow! Why????
I'm pretty wild-minded sometimes, and I have no clue WHY someone would be filling anything under hood with gasoline; it's not some old carburetor engine trying to be started where you might pour a bit down the carb. They actually opened the fluid tank and poured gasoline in it!
In the name of Henry Ford and Walter P. Chrysler, WHAT?!, if anything, we're they thinking??!!
That's my question too, honestly. What could possess somebody to think that's a good idea? Do they think it's an auxiliary gas tank or something?
Maybe the customer had oil on the windscreen?

No clickbait, the thumbnail is always the first clip, everything is the same great level of either sillyness or insanity. Not a single crappy clip thanks to that all these videos get at least around the subcount. Great job dude!
The brake line one. How does someone go through that much effort to fail?
my suspicion is that they start to read a manual, and during the half of it they stop, because now they know it all, and get to work.... and fail.
@@lotharrenz4621 that doesn’t even halfway explain just how bad that job was! I mean, the level of aggressive incompetence was just off the charts

The customer heard a knocking sound in the engine, so they added... thicker oil?!
NEVER have I heard of that being a solution, haha.
Maybe someone just told him that to troll.
It might get you home, but it is not any kind of repair.
Thicker oil can keep pressure up in an old engine with worn bearings, but by the time you can hear it knocking it's too late.
I'm not the smartest guy when it comes to working on cars, but I can do some basic repairs. Some of these videos make me look like a damn genius!

This is the greatest channel on CZcams for people who work on or at least understand cars. Every episode has me jaw-drop gasping and laughing out loud at the different clips. Love it!
Hey, even those of us that have minimal knowledge of things mechanical recognize how insane most of these things are. It's like people do not get that there are proper and recognized ways to do things and then there is 100%MacGyvering the issue. Not a problem for some things but not when you're driving down the road with the rest of us.
On the hood pins, I have no personal experience with them, but AFAIK, the strength to hold the hood down is from the clip going through a hole in the pin. In that case, having any cables at all is just a convenience so you don’t lose a clip when opening the hood. So, assuming that the pins themselves are securely mounted, that segment of the video isn’t nearly as egregious as what’s usually shown on this channel. Am I missing something?
I had the same thought.

@@WegotTheBOMB Not sure if 'manifold' is the right word for it - it's the plastic top that has a seam connecting it to the radiator body (whole bunch of pinched down metal tabs in a line).
