- Will the LG V60 ThinQ and Dual Screen case prove my concerns right? We'll find out soon enough -- for now, let's unbox BOTH of these products and see what it's like when LG doubles up.

Ok I will unpin this in a little bit after I respond to many of your comments, but I just need to get this off my chest for a sec --
Some of you really need to chill out. If you look past the title and listen to me in this video, I give just as much positivity toward the phone as I do my concerns. And I explained the concept of the 'CONCERNS/COMPLAINTS' pieces at the start of the video -- it's an exploration of the different things you might think of when considering the phone. None of it is hate -- anyone who follows me knows I'm kind of incapable of just bashing a device. I've done complaints videos before and after receiving devices in the past, and this is my attempt to put some structure to the process. 'CONCERNS' is to a HANDS ON, as 'COMPLAINTS' is to a FINAL REVIEW.
Anyone who thinks reviewers only bash on LG need to try and remember their history with the brand. I've loved LG devices since the early days back when I was at Android Authority. If anything, the things you constantly hear that are wrong with LG phones are only repeated because they keep coming up in each and every phone. But even if I mention them each and every time, I am always finding what I like and that has never changed. It was even shown in this video!
And honestly, if you are going to complain that I "never do this kind of content with other brands", I don't know what else to tell you --

You're all entitled to your opinions and your -- well, look at that -- COMPLAINTS AND CONCERNS. Feel free to express them here, that's the point of the comments section. But I felt a few things needed to be clarified or in some cases, corrected.
Anyway, whether you like it or not, I do want to thank you for spending some time watching my video (maybe watch it all the way through before levying assumptions at me?).
Enjoy your tea, everybody :)
most people understand because they already know your content but because of many others unfairly bashing LG especially by the sellouts like MKBHD people are too protective sometimes even though you are not the exact target, but this overwhelming unfair negativity towards this feature rich loaded device from LG and this title name is like an example of that and I am part of those overreactors 😁 anyways, keep up the objectivity, especially towards those OEMs that run the sellouts (Samsung and Apple mostly)

@@maajidshariif4859 LG V60 is more affordable than other flagships but still expensive, in USA it will start at 800 but outside of USA it will probably a bit more expensive
Joshua Vergara I don’t even have to watch the whole thing to know that you are going to be absolutely fair, you are going to always point out things that are great and things that we all eventually truly will have concerns about. Every kind of phone has those things. I have purchased every G series up until eight which I skipped. I switched to iPhone. This phone has me the most excited but that doesn’t mean I’m going to pretend it’s perfect. Thank you for keeping up the good work with real content.
Your concerns seem valid for a techie but for most consumers the phone's features should just about check every box.
it`s weird how most reviewers bash LG for being... LG even though they build very user friendly, solid phones fully packed with features...
those people like to judge a book by it's cover
He does the opposite in this video!!
That's it. If it isn't apple or Samsung they just shrug it off
It's been the same for years.. Samsung & IPhone fan boys.. Its actually embarrassing now.. The lg v series is simply outstanding yet dosnt get the credits for it
Because LG phones are scuffed. The software is a One UI rip off, the phone is loaded with gimmicks (dual screen bullshit) and LG's update support is the worst.
I love that LG doesn't bombard consumers with a ton of variants.
Unfortunately I still believe that the v40 variants is still the KING when it comes to the 5 camera setup.
Facts.. Having different versions of the same phone is so stupid.. Two versions make sense but more than that is beyond ridiculous...
No, they just bombard consumers with overly long and complex names. Lol
@@Nareimooncatt lol so true
It's a benefit not having so many variants. The cost for r&d is carried over to the consumer, along with the factory cost of producing different products. This phone can rival many top flagship phones, and is only $800 base? $900 with the case? To me, unless you need the best camera setup, or you are totally set on the highest quality and fastest refreshing screen, this phone will more than compliment the needs and desires of many users. And come on, it has a case with an extra full size screen built in.
Whatever you say, LG phones always offer high quality....That's enough...They do their duty perfect....
I will buy this phone in 6 month at half the price.
MY STYLO 3 IS STILL GOING STRONG...KEEP YOUR 1300.00
Trust me, most people looking to buy this phone have some headphones just waiting for this phone. I completely agree about the size but it's what we got so I'm going with it. I'm not concerned about the screen just because of the addition of the 5000 mAh battery which should make this phone close to the top endurance champ of the year. Certainly better than some other ultra mega phones.😏
Oh yeah, I'm sure anyone looking forward to the Quad DAC will already have headphones at the ready. I just think of Samsung and their bundled AKG headphones or even OnePlus with the Bullets (Apple earpods don't count, they're not great...) -- LG used to have Bang and Olufsen as part of their audio push, so it would have been nice to see that again here to really drive the audio quality home
@@jvtechtea A different tier of earphones/headphones are required to do justice to the quad dac LG packs in there. The standard in box akg for samsung and the olfusen for LG are a waste and don't do justice to the dac. LG is better off saving that cost and passing it on to us. A well pairef headphone amp and something like a Sennheiser HD600 really takes it to the next level
@@GavinMarkable Agreed.
hey does the dual screen come with the device
@@anthonymcguire7979 optional with T-Mobile. Included with Verizon. Not 100% sure with AT&T.
I think we have a winner! An economically priced phone with tons of bells and whistles.
That's not coming out where I live :(
The dual screen does not complete the V60 experience, it adds unto it. LG v60 is a phone on it's own. Other than that great video 📹
I love it for playing games.
The case is included in box or I will need to buy it extra?
@@mahfuzzamansiddique5382 depends on the company you have ?
Agreed, TBH I am not even interested on the 2nd screen.
Advice at the bottom:
It finally nice to see people not bashing LG. It's touching to see people finally recognizing that LG is the only company listening to consumers. The company that pioneered new screen resolution, aspect ratio. They set the bar in phone photography, Headphone audio and the size of the screen to body ratio.
The V60 is the ultimate phone with that amazing price. If you are concern about the dual screen then you can wait for the G9/G9X/G9S whichever it'll be. The G9 will definitely come with an improved dual screen and maybe even QHD for both screens(for higher price ofc)

@@minttt_ ALREADY HAD HARDWARE ISSUES
@@johnmartino2691 Which are?
This one has the specs I like, 5000mAh battery, newest processor, headphone jack with Quad DAC, and free case with extra screen. High refresh rate is worthless to me, and the screen resolution is good enough especially for the price and everything else that it offers.
The case is free with the phone? Or I will need to buy it paying xtra money?
Mahfuzzaman Siddique depending on the carrier.
High refresh rate doesn't matter to you because you haven't used it.
@@minttt_ I've not experienced 120HZ screen. But I've used/been using 90hz on my Pixel4 Xl. Like I said, the trade-off of battery hit for the scrolling smoothness is not worth it. The only way to mitigate it is through having a bigger battery, like the s20 is doing, then it's still at 1080p and that camera quality is typical Samsung, like the S10plus and Note 10plus that I used to own. Simply said, 120hz might be game changing, but only if it comes with a bigger battery and a way better camera.
@@IAmAPhan Well, the pixel 4 XL has a small battery . So that should be expected. But, 120hz is a huge upgrade. At least for me. I used to own a note 10 plus, now on my s20 5g with 120hz, it feels like every other phone studders and is laggy.
Nit picking, means the phone is amazing. Headphone jack, amazing camera controls it’s a go for me
Me too, I love that they don't gimp the camera app.
Great that you know what you want and this phone provides it :)
@@jvtechtea definitely, I do feel bad that people praise lesser phones and treat LG as a second class when they provide the best sound quality and granular camera controls. They need more positive press.
You have me sold with just a microSD slot....
IT'S NOT FUCKING NEAT PICKING.
NOT EVERYONE WHO SAYS YOUR FAVORITE PHONE ISN'T PERFECT IS RIGGED AND PAYED TO SAY IT. THEESE ARE LEGITIMANT CONCERNS. YOU ALWAYS CALL PEOPLE WHO LIKE APPLE FANBOYS,
BUT TO BE HONEST, AS A V40 USER, THE LG COMMUNITY IS FULL OF FANBOYS
The LG V series has always been more on the phablet side of devices. Don't see how it's size was so surprising.
Except v30 was quite compact and likely the best Balanced phone ever
@@yesterdaystech86 one out of how many though...
@@jaqualblack4295 yeah the v10 and v20 were huge. V40 is not that big or actually it could be that competitors made bigger phones too. Anyway love the V series for the dac.
They mostly come from tiny iPhones, just looking for something related to Android phones to bark on, it's part of their daily lives
Honsetly everybody has headphones. Giving crappy headphones with phones is just producing waste for no good reaaon.
And not help show off the HiFi dac
I like the Samsung ones. I actually use them and have like 4 pairs in different bags and cars
Always Bolt the Bird Yeah, those are of better quality because they’re AKG-tuned. Def not the crappy, throwaway headphones that Apple, Samsung, Apple, etc used to include with their smartphones.
I believe in recent years, LG was boxing B&O wired headsets with their devices, at least outside the US. They should’ve included those with the V60 for all buyers of this flagship, to show off the quad DAC to those of us who have mostly gone Bluetooth.
@@Sharky165 they were decent for included ones yeah but not something I would use
so true!
I always dislike the sound quality of the "stock" headphones coming with phones... If i want to listen via the headphone jack, I'm going for my high impedance headphones and with that amazing DAC, the phone has no issues powering the headphones.
Currently I'm using the old V10, but the DAC works amazingly well, so I'm glad to see that LG still continues that jack
Excellent sound quality, video recording not to mention the price. Who needs 100X zoom or 120 htz battery drain
Exactly! Give me a nice flat amoled display, jack connector, good battery life and good cameras.
Wireless charging is nice but I never use it any way.
Stereo speakers are absolutely pointless.
100x zoom is pointless since the quality is so poor and I don't believe it is actually 100x but whatever. Huawei's 50x zoom is the best since it can actually preserve detail at that level.
@@SDav21 Huaweis 50x zoom is worse than Samsung's 50x zoom lol.
120 hz makes the phone feel MUCH faster. It doesnt drain too much battery.
@@lucwallace4308 no it is not.
Not to be rude, but this is a great deal, and big bang for the buck! There are tons of V60 camera tests already on CZcams and they are very good. Kind of sad that you came out with concerns before doing a full test. Next time- test it and use it for a couple weeks and then let's hear your concerns. I do not own an LG, but am looking to purchase a new phone and honestly the price point for what LG V60 delivers is starting to look good.
People just cant help themselves from being negative when it comes to LG.
Tech Journalism is filled with people who consistently do LG phone reviews with a preconceived mindset. The most bias against any phone brand year on year has been against LG inspite of the fact that they are the most complete price to performace packages in the market
Remember if you are on T-Mobile like me and have more then 2 lines like me you can get 2 of these phones with the dual case for $899 + tax for each unit so $69.75 each for me. Comes out to about $520 for each phone. That's a killer deal. You don't need to add a line or be on any rate plan. All work and your existing lines work.
Well, I have to disagree. He raised some very legitimate concerns. It's not his fault that LG don't seem to understand that consumers don't want to buy bricks. Surely it's possible to design a more refined solution to attach the second screen to keep it as compact as possible. They have some nice ideas and cool features, but they tend to flop on the basic implementation. Granted this is still a good phone that packs some solid features but it could easily have been a fantastic device with a thinner profile, higher resolution screen with higher refresh, telephoto lens, wider angle selfie camera and a nicer notifications solution on the front of the dual screen case. It's 2020; they have to do better if they want to be a big player.
It is a great deal! I cut a small portion of my spec rundown from the video because it was getting a little too long at that point, but I did say that the price is totally a highlight of the phone. And as I stated at the beginning of the video, 'concerns' means what I think coming into the device, while 'complaints' will be basically part of the final review process, to see if the concerns actually panned out.
Looking forward to your review and camera vlog JV .. I already had seen vlog of lg v60 from another reviewer Dany . It was amazing and looking forward to yours as well
I have this phone after many years using a note 5. Love this size, love the dual screen. Best upgrade I have ever had!
Those little magnetic connectors are 5 bucks from their parts store so I think its not so bad.
Good to know! I'll just make sure it's always connected to a cable so I don't lose it haha
That was a concern. I have cables all over my house ready to plug a phone into. Id have to buy a bunch of these. 4 extras off the top of my head. Not bad for $20. Although not sure I'll be buying a new phone yet. My V20 is falling apart and I refuse to buy a phone without a removable battery. I'm about SOL
@@respond_code3 My V20 is in mint condition perfectly preserved in an otter box since Feb of 2017. It runs just as perfect as it did on day one, and yea thanks to the removable battery, I have no battery life concerns either. The V60 does tempt me with the dual screen, it is such a tough decision lol

@@zpk450257 updates is the weak point of LG to be fair, but Apple and unfair seem to be synonymous 😁
V20 and V30 still use B&O tuning. This uses Meridian (since V40) and it's much smoother sounding headphone sound.
I have a V20 from 3 years ago, and never bought any phone since... It's still the same V20 3 years ago, and maybe I would never switch to other model even if this one breaks. This is just the perfect phone for me.
Nice to see you are doing well Joshua.
Luckily I never take selfies. I want this mainly for the V
I'm interested in this new phone from LG, & I appreciate your Review. Thanks for your time & Video,& I'll be looking for the next one.
Gonna buy this phone straight away. This thing is fire. I don't need high refresh rate, nor high res screen, not 100x zoom, and at that price its fair to ignore those gimmicks. In our day to day life one doesn't even even care of such features. I mean most of the consumers.
In one review i saw that high refresh rate works only when the screen resolution is at 1080. So for gaming also it makes no sense. The manual mode on LG is ultimate, The quad dac? That thing is the best feature. Dual screen would work fantastic with games, emails, dual apps. The newer addition or innovation I loved is the VOICE BOKEH, where you can vlog with utter clarity and not to forget 8k recording. This phone is a beast.
Absolutely right 👍
Or generally a Huawei which has better specs for the same price. Better cameras on the Huawei too.

I don’t think you bash LG.
I just think you are generally a negative person. That’s the honest truth based on your reviews. You focus more on what a device COULD HAVE done better rather than what it does well. I watched your video after a long time and... just confirmed my original thoughts on your reviews. No hating, just raw honesty.

Question:
I'm considering switching from an LG G6 to the V60, but In my area, Orange County California, T-Mobile stores don't have a demo of the V60 yet and other stores seem to be closed because of the Coronavirus, therefore I can't see for myself what it's like. But the reason I would switch up from the G6 is for a larger more clear picture. But when I look at the comparison of the two PhoneArena it shows the V60 as having less resolution than the G6. So, is it really that much more noticeable? Am I getting a bigger screen with less clarity so I'd be breaking even in that regard on the switch out?
Because I'm thinking there's no reason to switch to a bigger screen if the picture clarity is "less than" or the same as. In that case I might as well just stay where I'm at.
I buy LG for two reasons:
1. Audio: I love headphones, I have Sennheiser HD 58X, modded Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80, and Sony XB900N.
2. Depreciation: LG phones are absurdly cheap used, a year ago I got my G7 for $250 and now you can get one for around $130 and that's an absolute steal.
That's because their phones suck ass
nice unboxing. looking forward to the camera review!
Josh , you are a class act! Thanks man.
I want this phone..maybe...Surface Duo is on my radar though!
Great video man this device looks like a very good upgrade from my LG V30 which has been a great phone !
LG V60 looks like a good phone. I love that it has a dual screen case
Hey man you don't have to explain yourself. I'm an LG fan but I respect your opinion on everything phone related, been watching your videos for a long time. Some people are overreacting over the video title, pretty sure they didn't watch the whole video. Anyway, keep up the good work man!
I think LG has a winner here. Next iteration of this phone will be very INTERESTING.
That desk though. That was crazy! I'm currently on the LG V40. I've had lg phones since the g5 and v10 and never had an issue with them. I love the quad dac and would be hard to get another phone without it. I'm super interested in the v60 but just don't want to spend the money since my phone is almost paid off. Keep up the good work though.
Good reviews as always
They already have the G8x if you want a smaller version.. No 5G though..
Looking forward to it aaaall and I really appreciated this video! Hype to see more about this phone!
People are bein weird😒
The best thing about the screen case is that you can just take it off when you don't need it, unlike e.g Galaxy fold where you're stuck with that formfactor permanently.
Not to mention a plastic folding screen that a good fart could permanently scrape/gouge.
LG'S SOUND GREAT TOO
I like the fact that LG has been making different kind of approach to the next generation of smartphone. When I try to watch some videos on my smartphone, for ex. when I eat, I always have to find something to make sure it doesn't fall or slip away. Having a dual screen like this smartphone would be a plus for me, I could use it like a pc, watching a video while I'm eating without any worries that it will slip away. This is just a simpler example of what I could do with this implementation. I really hope you are not gonna watch series, movies etc. like you just showed in your video because I don't think that they wanted to use in that way.
PS sorry for my English I live in Italy and I like your videos so I just wanted to share my thoughts on this interesting device. I really hope you are gonna use this device for multitasking and try to learn more about this approach, for ex. while playing videogames, watching a video and replying to an email or a message etc.
I agree, the landscape method for viewing is a great way to do it -- I've done it with the V50 Dual Screen and I'm sure I will again here. I showed the multitasking a bit here already and it's definitely the highlight of Dual Screen usage for me already.
I hope you're doing well out there in Italy -- I know things are crazy right now. Take care and thanks for spending some time with me here :)
@@jvtechtea Yea Joshua I don't understand the complaint about CZcams video being split across the two screens, you should use it in "laptop mode" with video on the top screen and comments etc on the bottom one, not split the view vertically.

I like how every review video for this phone every single person had the T-mobile version. So far im loving mine, though my only problem is trying to find a screen protector for my phone.
I love the size actually. Anyone who is getting this should not be surprised by that, and may in fact buy the phone because of it. Great review!
Back after some time & Bloody hell! The video Quality is top notch Joshua
Good review, I have a question though, that magnetic adapter for charging the phone while in the case.
Does it just have charging capabilities or is it a full USB connector to transfer files and tethering etc?
Great video Joshua. The thing is a bricky beast in the case. I think based on how much better LG did with Android 10 they may be limiting their portfolio in order to accommodate an even better rollout of Android 11. Hopefully there will be a G9 to give us a smaller form factor. 👍
Everybody keeps knocking lg for not falling in line with everyone else, but honestly thats why I keep buying them. Better battery, headphone jack, more quality accessories for the phone (much rather have a second screen than a stylus) and my lgs last until I want to upgrade. Every samsung or motorola I have had the battery craps out on my 1 year in and then especially with samsung the device starts lagging. Lg is different and everyone always ask me what phone it is im using because mine is usually the only one still working after a full day away from a charger.
I've been using LG for years, best camera hands down in manual mode and wide screen for years. I'm excited about this dual screen, very tempting to get it! *Currently using LG V40
Wtf, What camera issues ,for the first time according to everyone Lg had great picture quality and camera algorithms, but still NO ONE can match Lg in audio and video capabilities. This phone for 799 offers more than 1400 bucks ultra minus display and pure gimmick zoom camera .
Make sure you get 1
Using lg since g5 2016, last year I wanted to swap it with som different brand but when I tested audio on my koss headphones... No thanks, bought g7 the nex day. Nothing compares to lg audio. And soud recoding 😲
LG doesn't have great camera software compared to Google, Apple and Samsung. The 100x thing on the Ultra is a gimmick, but the 10x hybrid optic zoom isnt a gimmick. LG phones are loaded with gimmicks tho.
"Offers more" LOL okay buddy.
You are a joke if you say LG had the best video capabilities. iPhone 11 whips this LG in video recording
having only one version of the device is the best thing that couldve happened from lg. they struggle with updates and this might just help. not only this, but having different version of just one phone just makes things more complicated for no reason at all. just look at samsung and everyone crapping themselves over how much worse the exynos is and how many version of just a single device there are.
A fair point -- I don't quite mind it just being this one phone, I just think of what could have been if a smaller version existed too. Then again that would be like a G9 Dual Screen but we don't have that yet, of course.
@@jvtechtea i also believe that there is still a market for smaller devices and im still bummed that the only option for a small phone is to get last years s10e or the xperia 5 which was so popular i missed its launch and thought it never got to market... i agree that lg shouldve made a smaller phone as well. heres to hope their next g series phone wont be a brick, im sure more people would give lg a chance. not gonna lie, a smaller dual screen phone is a pretty neat idea. And thanks for answering the comments, not overyone wants or has the time to do that.
This is the type of phone for me. As soon as the G9x is released later this year, I’m snagging that one for sure.
A downside on T-Mobile is you can only get the bundle in the blue color (as of March 20th) and I don’t see a way to purchase the Dual Screen separately should you choose the Classy White color model. I also saw a Dual Screen module in white floating around the webs. Perhaps it will be a bundle available at a later time if you choose the black doesn’t suit you. Also, Josh, the magnetic dongle can be purchased from B&H for around $8. So if you misplace it. So it’s fairly inexpensive to replace.
Dude! You are one of the best tech reviewer out there.
I would love if it had a seperate battery. The added weight would be fine if it meant I was getting mazing battery life for two screens
Awsome review !!!
Some point to consider before buying this phone 🙌👍

So with the concerns with the screen specs, my question is if it makes a truly noticeable difference not being higher res/refresh or is it just a negative for spec comparisons? How much in day to day use is the screen actually a bad point against the phone?
Great review video. LG is absolutely killing it with this phone. I honestly would switch to Android just because of this v60
Big thumbs up for the Megaman X poster in the background
Would love to see how this would work as a productivity tool for emails and maybe desktop websites. I also hope this form factor continues as I see it as being beneficial.
It's managed to prove itself useful in previous iterations, so I bet it will continue here. GamePad? Totally fun. Two apps at once? Productive. Wide view? Maybe not.
@@jvtechtea wide view seems to be the worst feature on the foldable case but everything else about the phone and the foldable case is an A+ to me.
does anyone know how to hi fi audio dac compares to the spectra usb c dongle? Both have similar specs.

Josh rocking the FFVII background on the PC. Can't wait for the Release!!!
Also, I'm looking forward to the multi-tasking feature of this device. Honestly, my only gripe is the "notch" cutout on the dual screen. It serves no functionality other than uniformity.
Just call it the V60, unless LG is watching, lol.
Already out on the 20th. They used the same screen - same batch - in order to keep color same on both, otherwise it would of been another bigger complaint.
I just order mine and I'm waiting to give this phone a try. I've had other LG phones and I'm the type of person who likes to try not only the best new phones but the different new phones. This LG V60 reminds me of the Nokia 7500 communicator I had back in the 90's. Although it didn't have dual screen you could use that phone in similar fashion like the V60. From a price standpoint its hard to believe this how the prices of phones are going through the roof, this phone is priced under $1,000.00 and lately thats cheap for me lol. I hope this phone is worth the experience.
Totally agree on liking the '25W charging' being clearly labeled. All other phone manufacturers make us do tiny multiplication for each charger. Haha Great video as always!
Wow. This phone is now on my phone wishlist
Finally a nice flagship with a good price tag ! Here in Canada phones are crazy expensive, the new s20 ultra costs 2300$...crazy ! Even at 1200 I would be happy to pay that price for a device 😅
Is the V60 coming to Canada?
I'm not sure... but usually all the flagship device from lg comes to Canada, I think it's just a matter of time because we tend to have phones and updates just a little bit later than the US ones.
@@CanadianCrawlers Not true. We didn't get the V40 or the V50. But i did speak with an LG rep just now and they said Canada is getting the V60. Just delayed due to what's happening in the world.
Not true. Go look online they came to Canada and you can still buy them used on Kijiji. In fact my best friend bought the v40 when it came out trough fido and the v50 dual screen was advertised by bell and Videotron
@@CanadianCrawlers the V40 was never carried here. Yes you could buy used on kijiji. I didnt see the V50 but I'm with fido. I got the G8x hopefully i can trade it in for the V60. The V60 looks like such a complete beast of a phone. Can't wait to get it.
what did you shoot your video in, reall good content and video
I'm surprised that LG is now on their third dual screen device. I got the G8X not too long ago and I love it!
I am waiting for my second screen. Man, so far I love this phone. It feels good to hold as well. Got the classy Blue, awesome phone. Only complaint I have is the plan. Other than that I love the phone as itself.
Does the other screen add to the battery life? (Have its own additional battery that extends the overall life if running in tandem?)
objectively speaking, having a 60hz refresh rate on a smartphone is good because the only thing that higher refresh rates can truly shine on is gaming. and mobile gaming isn't good (and i'm not sure it ever will be). i love my 144hz monitor but smartphones don't need the same treatment yet. not enough apps take advantage of it
You obviously havent played codm
@@brianbreezy8382 yeah cuz it's not worth playing
@@brianbreezy8382 also, this is coming from someone who currently has a 120hz refresh rate on their current phone
Just got this phone in 2023 and its still great!
Lg is the only company that always get people that always find something to complain about ever time the release something and most time and CZcamsrs want to complain the minute the record a CZcams video for a lg product it like the want to plant in your brain the bad more then the good of lg that why people don't buy lg products that much anymore
I 100% agree with your statement. LG innovates while the others take and get rewarded for it.
When Samsung does it in the next year or two...then it will get all the rave reviews of the same dam thing.
And trust me when I say that Samsung will implement this in since the Samsung fold is too expensive... Watch
Hey Josh, why don't you colab with Juan for this one. I think many people wants to see that.
The concerns are totally valid from an individual basis. That said, I don't see me moving away from my V50 Dual Screen. It's a fantastic phone and executed much better than the current crop of foldable displays.
I kind of want to know all about this because it's the closest thing we can get to the Microsoft Duo until it releases supposedly later this year
The Microsoft Duo looks 🔥
All of your concerns are WHY I got this phone lol. I returned the Pixel 4 XL because it was tiny. Smaller than my LG G6 & way smaller than my LG V20.
It didn't have multi item clip tray, voice dictation on pixel 4 was terrible, home os buttons weren't as customizable as LG allows, terrible battery life.
The XL version was small?
Quad Dac and Creator features already offsets the 5 concerns. Having a handheld killer audio system is kind of a big deal. A lot of LG users feel it's a dealbreaker that most brands with exception of Sony Xperia 3 III and was it Xiaomi? do not have Quad DAC. Blutooth only is not progress. If it sounded as good as a QUAD DAC then it would be progress.Just like people saying updates to os is a dealbreaker with LG. No Quad DAC is unacceptable for a flagship phone. LG Quad DAC models sound as good as my $6k home system. I'm using Sennheiser HD 650 headphones($500USD) on my V40 and it kills!Other phones could not drive headphones like them even if they do have a headphone jack.
I understand that not having the highest resolution panel(s) on a device so large and so expensive is a bit of a turnoff, but it isn't a concern for me: 1080p is just fine for a phone... If it makes the dual screen experience consistent to have a lower resolution, I'll take it...
The full screen video thing isn't a concern for me either when most content is wide screen optimized... It should be viewed on just 1 screen...
HDR and high referesh rates are important to me, especially at this price bracket... I understand why this may not have been implemented (cost and probably performance consistency over both displays) but this would be a bigger concern... We should at least have the option for high referesh rates...
My biggest concern with LG (as a owner of a G5, V20 and formerly a G4) is security updates... I don't care so much about OS updates, but security updates (or the lack thereof) are, for me and for people I recommend devices to, a total deal breaker... My current daily driver is an unlocked US Note 8, and I have been pleasantly surprised at the super quick security patches... My wife has a Pixel 3a, and obviously she will get those updates, at least for a couple years... LG? My old V20 (Unlocked dual SIM) eventually got a newer OS, but the last security patch is 9 months old... That was a flagship... And that took forever to roll out... That doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies... I'm told, much like Moto, they are better now... But it will take time for me to see reviews and trust LG long term security support from them again...
I'm going to go ahead and give LG alot of credit for sticking to their guns with this LG thinQ line of phones. I'm a Samsung fan but LG is Samsungs little brother and I must say they are trying to stay competitive. Great video Joshua. Stay safe man.
Watching on my Quad HD v40.. edit now watching on my full HD Plus the 60 and the display is just as good my Lord I don't know how lg-made a 1080 panel looks so damn good...manoman it's goooooood
Great presentation....so I subbed.
My current phone the v20 has removable battery. The v30 does too. So probably why they have that warning. I think most who have v30 are just now thinking of upgrading. My v20 is only now starting to slow down after all these years!
I'm wondering how long the connection will work without issues since they built the internal connection in the hinge.
Can you compare video low light agents the V40?
Can you also display all the video manual camera?
I'm still using the LG Optimus Pro G (e980) from 2013 and it still works like it did when I first got it. Phones are absolutely horrible these days...
Does anyone know how to change the resolution on the v60 i had the v40 and v30 but the settings are not the same I can't seem to find the resolution setting thanks in advance
That is true, they should provide lg headphones with the packaging, it is a damn near staple when unboxing a phone, along with the the charger of course.
I love my new LG V60 ThinQ... I got the peal white and it's just so damn pretty! So far everything has gone perfectly. I opted to use buttons at the bottom rather than swipe the screen; I started with the swipe but went back to buttons. Also, when setting up the phone I opted for no notch at the top screen camera. Just looks better without the notch. Get one people. Great Phone! So glad it has a headphone jack... No headphones? Who doesn't have a million sets of wired headphones in their possession???
Hi TY for this video
Q: how is this with Zoom?
Can you zoom on one screen and use another app on the other?
Wrecking this on my v60. Don't care about the dual screen. Only 1 day but CRAZY love this thing. Haven't charged it once and have about 12 hours on screen time
Hey Josh, LG gives you a choice of a single or duel screen? A 1080p display with a 5ooomamp 🔋. I would dare say 10hrs of SOT? The duel case is big & bulky along with the phone. A gimmick that may actually work? I like it, very good review!
I have the G8x/V50s and yes I sometimes achieve 10 hours SOT
You mentioned the front cam...Over the years, I've noticed some resolutions to be "awkward" as in not quite right. 10mp seems to be one. My suspicion is how they interact with a display. I'd say more but instead just pose the question if anyone else has that feeling? (I've had 4 cams including a DSLR with 10mp)
How do I get my have on the dual screen. VZW doesn't sell it & Amazon doesn't have it.
For a low refresh screen, it looks great. My favorite phone of all time, and I've been rocking a One plus 7. Most underrated phone of 2020
Nice video! My friend is testing the same smartphone - it has a REALLY long name... "LG V60 ThinQ 5G Dual Screen" - yikes!
Sir, can you tell me or give me a correct link to buy me a v60 .is still available ? In which countries?
