As an owner of a v60 with ds i can tell u all. The velvet def looks more sleek but the v60 is going to out perform its little brother in every way. From processing, ram and mostly every other spec. Camera choice is suggestive to user but v60 is 64mp at top lvl which is more than velvet(although doesn't ALWAYS tell the story) the v60 was meant to be better which is why it is. To compete with specs of top tier phones with minimal sacrifice and way better pricing also with a unique and cool add on to stand out from those few better specs. Its exactly that and more!! Im very happy with my choice
Both are great. I like the quad dac better cameras faster CPU GPU and bigger battery on v60. But the looks faster usbc better desktop mode colors and better dual case and lower price on the velvet and the name and camera array.
Well, the Velvet looks kind of like what I wish they would have made the V60. My main complaint with the V60 is that it's just a tad too big... otherwise I probably would have had it by now. What I would like to know with the Velvet compared to V60 is how does it look when streaming videos? Right now I'm on a v40 and looking to upgrade. Would the Velvet be an upgrade from the v40?

This is great, soon add the Surface Duo please. As a musician with a ton of high power headphones, and major multitasker, I can use the power larger battery and better amp power of the quad dac, and I like the flat screen. Having said that the velvet is sexier front and back, still needs a traditional finger print scanner, and is actually more than I need . Both would be an upgrade in most but not all ways to my LG V20. With a second screen , ir blaster, and removable battery. Upgraded to 10000 mah. And their notch is smaller than the one on my V20,s second screen.
Cool review dude!! I love my duel screen v60 but the damm front your rite fingerprint I already cracked the front case glass can get replacement for $30 amazon. Personally I like the back not so slippery good grip... Wish my case was black like that silver one not front glass to crack lol.
Who needs morw than 6 gigs. Unless you like to be forgetful and have 20 apps open. Or cause you just cant bear the 2 seconds it takes to open an app on the velvet.
Is that what you use a phone for? If so then the asus rog phone 3 is for you. The lg v60 and lg velvet are audio and video recording focused phones so storage is way more important than ram. Why put more costly gigs of ram than necessary into a phone designed for a purpose that wont use up that ram. - Theres thousands of phones on the market. I dont see the point in complaining about a phone that isnt made for your demographic or needs in mind.
Really want to know how big is the difference in the audio/speaker sound and battery life with the charging and how is the heating issue? I would like if there was an option to buy 25w charger for LG Velvet...
My V60 has 8Gb of ram and it also has different features than you are describing here . it must depend on the carrier i think as to which model of the same phone one gets.The V60 is a HIGHER grade phone than the Velvet . Your review is FLAWED.
Good luck getting the dual screen with T-Mobile, they don't offer it. They have the Velvet for $600 ($588) and then if you want the dual screen, that works with the T-Mobile phone, you have to pick up it from LG for 200 bucks. On top of that at the two T-Mobile stores I stopped in at here in Orange County, CA, one with 5 employees in on the conversation, they didn't know that the Velvet had a dual screen option.

One more comment if the Velvet and the V60 had over 1080p I would have bought either one but I just I'm sticking with the v50 till it doesn't work and I got to figure something else out they really upset me when they downgraded on the pixels and HD density
V60 has 8gb ram and better specs in every way. The velvet cam is DEF not better. Velvet is a much cleaner and sleeker look. I like the unbox exp better too as that velvet box looks really nice and way cooler than my v60 box. Plus it comes with headphones but no quad dac so u win some u lose some
You are incorrect about brightness.. in your video it shows the brightness slider isn't equal and also wasn't at Max brightness.. I had a V60 next to my OnePlus 8 pro which is clearly supposed to out nit the v60.. and it did not the b60 look brighter.. both of them at Max
The brightness slider was identical when showing the phones side by side outside. This is where I mentioned the issue. Of course, it’s not going to be the exact same throughout the entire video lol.
This is a very biased review in FAVOUR of the Velvet . if you do reviews at the very least be honest . Every time the v60 outshone the velvet you really glossed over and downplayed it . I unsubbed from you based on this poor review.
LG 8 new ebay 300. Velvet same roughly . V60 new still 450 plus. LG8 used or refurbished 150 ebay . LG phones are 100 bucks over or under depending on their condition etc . All of LG phones are superb , other brands just overpriced . Nokia a joke , Samsung too pricey , Apple phones are crazy price . Google phones a great value , just boring colors etc
