Tammy refused to go anywhere and almost ruined the whole family's vacation disturbing a family friend to take her home. And after 12 hours of driving to a cabin Amy and her husband has to drive Tammy to a hotel because she wouldn't even try to get into the cabin. When the family went to ask her to join in the activities they found she was on the phone to Phil wo she has a RESTRAINING ORDER AGASNT. She is literally a child and I feel so bad for her family who's doing everything for her and trying their best, but she's acting so horrible to them.
Who knows if the restraining order is even real… I wouldn’t be surprised if she just made all that drama up to avoid taking accountability for not losing weight and keeping the food journal that the dr had asked her to.
At this point, I don't know why her family does anything for her. She's an ungrateful brat and a burden to everyone.
Honestly I would have lost contact with her if she was my family. All she does is act toxic and it seems like no one is happy around her anymore

At some point, you just gotta let go and leave them be. A person who doesn’t help themselves for that long, to that extent, is a lost cause. This is coming from someone who was 210kg down to 123.7kg and still dropping. Everyone abandoned me. I don’t blame them to this day. Only I could help myself.

@@rubyrush3751 no. The old fashion way. Diet and exercise. Counted calories. Walked more than I sat down. It came off slowly but it came off surely. Now I lift daily and have an extremely physical job.
I don't want to assume I know how they feel but, it looks like they want to leave her to her destructive ways but they are afraid that if they do, she'll die. Even though it's Tammy's fault she got to where she is, they would probably still feel a little responsible if they made the decision to walk away and she died shortly afterwards. Her family is stuck in that rock/hard place situation. They want to help her but they are also emotionally fed up at the same time. It's a hard choice, I don't envy anyone in that situation. Congrats on your personal accomplishments though, well done :)

I honestly think she’s had a binge disorder, and TLC is profiting off people getting mad at her mental health. It’s caused by random things and could affect anyone. It is probably why she snaps and gets mad at everyone saying “just exercise and stop eating” when it’s impossible to just get over a disorder. She literally was getting better with professional help, and got worse without it. And she was probably upset everyone was trying to act like nothing was wrong when to her, everything was wrong.

I'm a plus size girl, and I always have been since I can remember. But I am trying to lose weight and so far I've done well, lost 43 pounds this summer, and I'm still going. I believe that Tammy can do it, she has a great support system. She just needs to try.

I had cancer in my teens and even though it was out of my control I felt like a burden on my family. I really don't know how Tammy can be so horrible to family and friends when she did this to herself and not realize she's a burden to everyone around her
I’m sorry you had to go through that I’m glad you’re still here. Food can be an addiction for some people just like a drug addiction. I think she’s going through a lot mentally and she gets hostile towards people because she doesn’t know how to cope with her reality. Just my speculation.

She’s definitely depressed. I can’t imagine facing death like that, feeling like a burden, of course she lashes out-it must be painful. Tammy hasn’t taken responsibility in the past and isn’t now but I feel her tone has shifted darker

I can't imagine being so entirely dependent on other people, to the point where if you were left to your own devices for even just a week, you would likely die or, at the very least, suffer greatly. I can imagine how you might get there in the first place. Things happen sometimes. However, I cannot imagine how you would not have the willpower to change it. This is something that is completely in Tammy's hands; she is the only person who can change her situation. Yet, she vehemently scoffs like a petulant child in the face of anyone who tries to help her. She will die fighting the wrong battle.

My dad is around 350lb and has been for about 4 years. He has to be monitored for Co2 posioning and is going for another stress test soon. He is very close to be being fully seditary and it's upsetting to watch. There is such a thing as just being to depressed to care and my dad is in that department and Tammy is too. Also the food addiction thing is such a huge factor, my dad has subsituted all his other vices for food and this is the result.

America definitely has a problem. People dying of obesity related illnesses is increasing by the second. We could compare it to firearm deaths and say “this requires intervention” but nobody is. She has to eat so much food, just to maintain her size. I wouldn’t be able to afford that kind of food intake. This is evidence of an addiction being enabled.

I was 465 lbs and I'm down to 277. I've tried to give Tammy some comfort over the years. I talk to her on Instagram sometimes. She's a sweet girl but it's so painful to be that large. I also pray for her often! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that one day she will love herself like some of us do.

This is why it's so hard to feel 100% certain for me if I don't blame then for walking away or if I don't blame them for keeping an eye on her. I think with her gaining more weight they've realized the severity and stopped enabling her but I feel like if she was left alone she'd be forced to things she actually can do, but just chooses not to, like walking. I get the situation where they'd feel miserable if something happened to her because they walked away but it's an unavoidable thing that's likely to happen whether they're there, wasting their breath with her or not. I think with as hard as they've tried to get through go her, it's very unfair to all the siblings to cater their lives around someone who doesn't want better for themselves.

Honestly idk if its true but honestly I believe that Tammy isn't even trying to lose weight or just doesn't really care or it TLC making her not lose weight because TLC is concerning most the time
She has to eat by my estimate 4000-6000 calories a day to maintain her weight. She not “not trying” she’s actively working against herself. I personally believe TLC has a responsibility to intervene more, instead of getting their juicy content and letting her rot. She doesn’t want to do the work, and I feel bad because I think that attitude was fostered by her family.
