Tammy had a “poor me” attitude, and tends to blame everyone else for her own issues. She’ll never get better unless she changes her mindset. Her sister has done so much better because she took accountability and made the effort.

Wish I had a Tisa. She's so kind, and uplifting, and encouraging. I'm not THAT overweight but I'd still like to lose some, and if Tisa told me "But you promised" I'd be like "I sure did. Let's do this. Thank you for coming with me and having my back"
I know Tammy is scared, and in pain. Everything gets exponentially more difficult the more weight you gain, and it's impossible to know that specific feeling of defeat without living it. But the truth is that not doing anything will ONLY make it worse. Choosing not to change is actively making it worse. I know it's difficult. It's REALLY difficult. But I hope she manages to get help and actually take the help she's being offered. Because eventually, people stop offering, and then it's all up to you, and that's even harder.

I'm almost to the point where they should just ignore Tammy. Don't bring her food at all. She'll either starve to death, or she'll have to get up and get the food.
Maybe it'll cause her to realize that her condition is serious. I don't want her to die, and her family doesn't either which is why they are doing this stuff for her.
She's just a giant burden to everyone. If she has to get the stuff herself, maybe she'll realize how much her family has to for her, and take their words more seriously.

I just feel that it's gone on long enough. She needs to start moving, and food is probably the only thing that could motivate her at this point. But she can't work hard to get would if it's brought to her on a silver platter.

Sometimes it's hard to admit it since no one ever wants to think this way about anyone, but I'm going to be completely honest. Amy, Chris and everyone else will genuinely be better off if she passed away. It would hurt emotionally for a long time, but the amount of relief they'd all feel would be monstrous.
Tammy clearly does not care for her own life. She gave up 200 lbs ago. If she cared, she wouldn't turn down help at every chance she got. Even the possibility of death doesn't scare her into changing. Tammy will die and that's that. There is no other option unless she has a miraculous change of heart.

When you get large enough, being alive hurts. And being in pain all the time really affects your personality in a bad way. And to be clear, losing weight and keeping it off is one of the most difficult things a person can do, so much so that bariatric surgeries are literally the only methods we know that have long term success, not diet and exercise (much more useful for keeping the weight off). She really needs some CBT, and possibly some pain relief, before I can see her improving enough to get surgery, but it's an uphill battle that most people lose

I believe that it is brave to ask for help. American, 50s, 'nuclear family' culture teaches us to shun our emotions and basically gave Gen x-z generational trauma. This is a tale how people can enable harmful behavior to a point of total destruction. When you've spent you're entire life being given what you want or demand and/or not being punished appropriately for going against boundaries. This is the result and nothing can fix this on a willful basis. This woman isn't going to change at all and while it's fine to view her as a cautionary tale. It isn't going to help her to feel this encouragement from minor notoriety. This is why you do set boundaries for your children from a young age. This is why you have to be involved with your children and not just enable all their wants and desires. Encourage healthy and beneficial behavior as much as you punish harmful behavior. Do so in a loving way but strict enough that the child understands and builds upon that foundation. Once they're a grown adult, then all the choices they make are their own. Until then, help start them off right at least.

"Tammy has been given every opportunity, AND EVEN A TV SHOW to change, yet she still doesn't."
There it is folks. The truth. And it was there all along. We were just too emmursed in the "story" to see it.
Tammy won't change. No matter how many "episodes" or seasons there are.
    Because it's all a SHOW.
A PROFITABLE show. The more episodes, the more money. The more viewers staying tuned just to see Tammy get worse, the more fame. This was NEVER about seeing Tammy get better. In fact, this is just to broadcast Tammy getting WORSE while they're making millions.
We don't know what goes on behind contracts, but I assure you right now, the longer Tammy stays Stubborn, the longer they can just keep filming their profitable show. The first sister lost weight just to get some happy relief in the show. And now? They gotta stretch out the only other content breadwinner of the show for as long as possible.
And we won't stop watching. No no.
    It's too entertaining.
This show has given us a sense of HOPE for Tammy. That every episode, gets shot down. But it never dies. Because we keep hoping NEXT episode, she'll change.
She won't. Not untill every bit of fame is taken away.
It's interesting psychology because, if the one thing she wants is taken away from her (Fame), then she might just work to get it back. Aka, lose weight. She won't be known as the 1000bl sister anymore. Rather, she'll have a new name, and new fame. REWARDING her instead of losing hope in her.
But I guess that's just my theory. I do hope Tammy gets better... But it's unlikely untill drastic changes are made.
