    Nice demo! I've got a Streetrod combo with matching extension cab, amazingly versatile. Band plays everything from Van Halen to ABBA! :D
    Be aware that the solo boost is only on the dirty channel and is heavily impacted by the dirty channel volume... it becomes less effective as you turn up the channel volume. LIke Jon said, get it dialed in before your gig, appropriate for the venue.

    • @tylerhaas6
      @tylerhaas6 Před 2 lety

      I found it best to set the channel volume to 9:00-10:00 depending on how much solo boost you want and adjust overall volume with the loop volume. But recently I got to reading on forums and a lot claim that the amp shines with the channel volume at around 11, but making the solo boost unusable. Yes it does sound better past 10:00, more “airy and “open” sounding. I keep mine at 12:00 now and use a GE7 for solo boost.

  • @phillamoore157

    Wow...if that single coil tone, was that bridge pickup split....that was a SERIOUSLY deep sounding single coil. Don't know if that's the guitar or the amp. Would love to know what that guitar is, as well. I thought that was a neck single coil for a second. I'd only use one pickup if I could get a split bridge pickup to sound that deep, and mellow. But, I digress.... Splawns are beyond Spectacular. The punchy, throaty, mid-range percussive tone those put off are sensational. Excellent demo!

    Nice tones. My '06 Quickrod has a little different tone. You can't play it through V30 cab without serious EQ changes. The matching cab I have is one their first. It has double thick grill cloth to tame the upper mid beam. Sounds very chunky. It's a very clear amp without a ton of preamp distortion. Really have to be on your game as it is a very articulate amp.

      Really? That's interesting. I guess it would depend on the style you're going for but even my gear one on OD 1 with the gain at like 10 o clock is pretty clean. My clean chan with its gain at 9-10 o'clock is very clean. I play mostly hard rock and just roll down my guitar volume on gear 1 to go to a "clean" sound. The solo boost adds volume that you set with the solo knob and automatically engages OD2 when you are in gear 1, 2 or 3. Unless you're already in OD2. Then it's just a vol boost for soloing etc.
