Happy 4th everybody. Excellent guitars for for 1/5 price of the custom shop fully designed for your preferences. What is a color of the first korina-mahogany one? Is it just amber shellack or some Minwax oil-based wood stain like gunstock #231 or golden pecan? I need to renovate my old all-mahogany Ibanez St-55 from 80’ and your amber-ish/pecan-ish dye is impressive.

I saw them at Iguanas in Tiajuana in '89? I think...So bad ass!!! I wish someone would post a lesson on this, Ive figured out a few spyz songs (just the main chords/riffs) but this one has been hard to figure out, I'm also trying to figure out "If I could", another sick one, well they're all good songs, the only Spyz song I can't get into is "Spyz on piano". If you learn any Spyz riffs, please share!!!!

Hello , I’m not a guitar player. I’m a Drummer. But I do have a very nice home studio that was constructed from scratch up and a garage conversion. Control booth, AC, heat, Everything pro equipment. My question is how do you feel about me having an eleven rack in the studio. Would it be an asset ? The person selling is one user, never toured , never left house and used it for recording. He’s asking $125. Is this something you would buy for the studio at that price ? Thanks so much

My warmoth strat build is coming to $1100 for just the body and the neck. With complete hardware and electronics, it will be closer to $1800. Add shipping and customs to India and its $2800. And I didn't even add any fancy wood tops. Just Alder body and roasted Maple neck and fingerboard. Just options like moon inlays, contoured neck heel and finishing are nearly 40% of the costing. Way, way too expensive and closer pricing to high-end guitars you can get here with warranty. Warmoth perhaps have gotten very pricey after their popularity???

As long as you want a bolt on neck, Warmouth is great.

I have a warmoth telecaster that just sounds and plays so great. With a lot of sustain and punch. Great stuff.

Does your wenge neck have a finish on the back of the neck?

Violins, cello's, double bass and the like have fingerboards, guitars have fretboards, I did not know this myself until I was corrected by an old girlfriend who was doing a music history degree. I still occasionally call them fingerboards though LOL

you'll notice a big difference when the amp is played at full volume when more juice is needed. it also depends on what type of rectifier tube was stock as they vary greatly in stoutness.

from what appears in the schematic the gears don't add or remove gain stages but simply change the preamp cathode values (or add or remove bypass caps) as well as change the voltage divider values between the stages. pretty simple

@3:50 - Oddly enough, you said you're positioning the ribbon with "the dust cap right in front of it, dead center".. but the picture you show has the microphone on the edge of the speaker. lol So which was it? The sound clip of the ribbon by itself also sounds like it was on the edge, so if it was dead center, I'd think there would be more sizzle and I didn't hear that, which means it had to be further away or on edge of the speaker. Weird.. did you forget what you did maybe? hahahha

Clearly the amp#1 sounds better. More composed and balanced. Amp#2 is indistinct, dull and just plain lifeless. Amp#2 sounds like it was designed to be brighter but is intentionally dialed to sound darker than what designer had in mind.
