More Photos at ChurchGA.blogspot.com A huge old 1903 Catholic Church with massive Bavarian stained glass windows, multiple religious statues and paintings.A high alter of Carrara marble.
30 years have passed ~ Fr. John Cuddy was pastor then. This was my families parish, I was married here, all three of my children were baptized and received first communion here. Thank you for the beautiful trip down memory lane.
Wow!! Another beautiful Catholic Church in Georgia!
This is a beautiful church and I loved the tour (and accompanying music). Living in nearby Florida, I would like to visit and attend Mass. It is exquisite....only the best in order to honor and praise our Lord. Macon is blessed to have such a beautiful church.
Nice video footage of his beautiful church. St. Joseph happens to be one of my personal favorites, it's a really gorgeous church.
I'm in California and happened to stubble upon your video while looking for a local St. Joseph's Church by where I live. This is breath taking! So beautiful! If I ever get to Macon Georgia, I pray God will let me visit this Cathedral you have posted here on you tube! Thank you and God Bless
@2groomer This Church does offer the traditional Latin Mass -- High on the second Sunday of the month at 2 and a low on Tuesday every week around five, I believe.
Thank you for doing the video. I am going there from Florida to take pics on my way to Tn!! I am so excited!!
I've been attending St. Joseph's for about forty years now. It is truly beautiful. This video is great, but doesn't quite capture the beauty of the church ... especially the incredible stained glass windows. It's probably the best thing to see in Macon, Georgia, U.S.A. But then, I am predujudiced.
The love, care, and devotion this church and beliefs are just beyong human imagination....our faith.....
Holy Place of God ... The churches & Mosques are the God Home's
I totally agree.
@mhnna911 your opinion
Exodus 25:18-20; 1 Chronicles 28:18-19; Ezekiel 41:17-18; Numbers 21:8-9; just to name a few.

@2groomer --- A Latin mass is fine because it 'sounds' Holy but I prefer to understand every word in my native tongue. Also, your comment about the Saints running out of church if they witnessed 'all' the abuses is sad. It IS unfortunate that this evil is perpetuated by some. I ask, did you hear this was done by a thousand religious or did the media report this abuse a thousand times? Read the last chapter of the Old Testament, Malachi. God's wrath will be great. Do not lose Faith, pray more!
I wonder where Jesus, the king of the Jews, would attend if he were traveling to Macon?

Second Commandment : "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."
It's convenient that the Catholic Church eliminated this commandment from their version of the Bible.
These "images" are not made for ourselves; they are made for the glory of God and for his worship. This commandment does NOT say, "you shall not make any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth, that gives glory unto God." It says, "for yourself." Big, big difference! And Catholics have the Bible in it's entirety. We never eliminated anything because we put the Bible together in the first place. It is the Protestants who did the removing.
Anytime I walk into a Protestant church or megachurch, I think those churches are so "sterile," that you could have surgery in them. They are like gymnasiums. They do absolutely nothing to lift the soul. They give no glory unto God because they are plain, plain, plain. Invariably, the emphasis is on the congregation. How can you think this is what God wants?
It is the Catholic Church which for centuries preserved the integrity of the Bible, during many different hard times. Protestants came to reject and modify some parts of the Bible in order to justify the creation of their respective groups.; since there is not a single protestant group.
