@@motonickaustralia1126 The DR is the only bike I've ever done it on, this one's a little different but still looks fairly straight forward so will give it a go when it's due.
Same sidchrome ratchet, same kincrome set, same oil filter wrench thing, same bike, feel like I'm watching myself. Was going change oil last week but there's no 15w 50 around down my way.
@@motonickaustralia1126 haha yeah same probably about 20 years too, just got the kincrome 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 full set ex demo seriously cheap from bunnings. Love to come up your way for a ride one day.
Not good at Russian Sergei, if thats Russian that is, however i have used a K&N air filter which is in another video, the mods video, the oil filter i got off ebay. Thanks for watching.
@@motonickaustralia1126 Why drag it so hard? (To use the puller later). There's also a special o-ring. I hope at least the O-ring was anointed with oil before twisting?
How not to change your oil no torque wrench no new washer on sump plug and only ever tighten oil filter with your hand, and learn how to use an impact gun
I didn't have a new washer! No leaks though but would be best to use one. Impact gun is new and am still learning! When i did mechanics, i learn't that the oil filter should be turned about three quarters round from when it first touches, the idea is to not tighten too much as the oring can crimp and thus leak, the old only tighten with hand is flawed due to different strengths of people.
Very helpfull video. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for uploading this, top man!
Glad you enjoyed it!
My Dream machine 😍
Nicely timed, coming up on 5k in the next month or two. Cheers 👍
No worries, i've watched you do the DR.

The manual calls for 4W40 oil though. why use 15W50? is there a benefit?

Should mention hand tighten oil filter will be enough
Lol, i've had that sidchrome set for 20 yrs or maybe longer. Thanks for watching.
Yeh i was going to but thought some people might not be strong enough so i went with the 3/4 to full turn after the O ring touches.

@@ike8236 Let me know if you do!
Good video 👍. But how do i reset the service light now? Anyone know?
You'll have to buy an OBD2 device for the g310. Thanks for watching.
@@motonickaustralia1126
I found someone in here the show it. Thanks
How do you reset service light ?!
You need to buy some sort of tech device or something, i don't know what it is.
Hi Nick, where do you source you oil filter? Thanks Phill
I got the oil from Supercheap. I've bought filters from BMW Motorrad Brisbane and the one in the video i bought off ebay.
Thanks for watching, Nick.

@@Skykata334 Not sure what you mean by using a puller. The o-ring on the oil filter was oiled, new crush washer used on sump plug.
