Will do! Seattle is absolutely stunning! I didn’t vlog there when we went, I was trying to soak up the beauty, but we went many places around here. Scroll threw some of our past Vlogs and you can check those videos out. I will definitely head down to the beach, and vlog in Seattle the next time.

Thank you very much for doing this video. My daughter and her husband are both active Army and have 3 kids. They stuck them in a 1 bedroom TLF and taking all of his allowance. They were #18 on list and now moved to 22 because soldiers coming back from overseas. Im really hoping maybe they can do what you did and find a 3 bedroom and get in MUCH faster. They need to be in a place by April 1st. Of course they are only E4 so I doubt they could get something as nice as yours but I hope they can. Thank you again.
Oh gosh, I couldn’t imagine being in a 1 bedroom. It was enough already to be in the hotel for 6 weeks. We would have had to wait another 2-4 weeks for a 4 bedroom but at the time we were fed up with the hotel room which is why we accepted the 3 bedroom and decided to make it work. I hope they will get an offer soon. The waitlist numbers don’t mean much, we were #19 when we got this house offered so there’s definitely hope!
Hab mir das Video bestimmt schon 10 mal angeschaut. Wir sind vor einer Woche nach Beachwood 2 gezogen, nach 4 Monaten im Hotel mit 3 kids und zwei Hunden. Dein Video hat mir definitiv ein paar Ideen in Sachen Einrichtung gegeben weil ich mit diesem Family room Quatsch einfach keine Ahnung hatte was ich da rein machen soll. Aber eine Leseecke ist ne super Idee. Danke dafür
Hallo Kristina! Ja die floorplans bei einigen Häusern sind etwas fragwürdig, wir haben schon in einigen Häusern gewohnt wo ich mich gefragt habe was sich die builders dabei gedacht haben. Wir wohnen mittlerweile in Meriwether - und auch hier ist das Wohnzimmer etwas bescheuert eingeteilt. Davon werde ich demnächst auch ein Video machen. Obwohl wir schon eingerichtet sind, ich breche mir trozdem bis heute den Kopf über unser Wohnzimmer. Selbst hier würde eine Lese Ecke beknackt aussehen 😅

How do I go about getting a house on base with my family? Im getting station in Ft Lewis after ait. I graduate April 13 most likely get shipped out couple days after.
Hey! You go to this website lincolnmilitary.com/installations/joint-base-lewis-mcchord/ to see which housing you qualify for and complete your online registration. You’re also able to upload required documents like your orders, Deers etc. with your online application. A couple of hours after you submitted it, give leasing a call to make sure they received it and that no other documents are required. Get on the list ASAP because the wait can be long. We stayed in the hotel for 6 weeks before moving in. We used BAH to cover that.

Good question! The only thing we miss is the weather! The landscape is definitely better here in Washington. It doesn’t rain every day, but blue skies and sunshine is good to have lol

Maaaan!!! We sure do miss that huge pool!!! We still have it, but it’s cold as heck over here right now lol. We will have to wait, or let’s see what the future brings, maybe we will buy a house with a pool 😉

How long did it take to get housing on base?
We’ve been on the waitlist for a total of 5 a Little over 5 months i believe. Upon arrival to JBLM we stayed in the Hotel for 2 months before being able to move into the home that was offered to us.
I'm getting stationed at Lewis. How long does it take for them to settle you in? I'm married with a son
We got on the housing list as soon as we received orders and once we arrived we contacted the housing office to let them know we are here. We stayed at the hotel a total of 6 weeks before we were able to move into a home. We qualify for a 4 bedroom but we accepted a 3 bedroom home due to the long wait and we were sick of having the kids do remote learning from at the hotel

E7-E8 but only 3 bedrooms. 4 bedrooms are in Meriwether community for E7-E9 and I believe in beachwood 2
