What I’m talking about is peoples obsessions with they will not buy one unless it takes Glock mags that’s not how gun manufacturing works. I’m going to use my companies mags for it while manufacturing. Basically, I’m talking about people having a ridiculous expectation that all of them take Glock mags, as if no other mags are going to be produced.
Awesome MOD to mount the site on the FPC. I've been looking at the FPC, but concerned about eye relief with optic sitting so far forward. Pleae consider doing video on how you mount that optic to the FPC, thanks
It is fairly easy to install, you just remove the 6 screws holding the upper housing. Use the new screws that come with the mount. It is really easy, I would do a video, but I sold my mount. I had no issues with eye relief at all. I moved my RD back to the barrel due to the hat wear I use when shooting.
Where did you buy the short rail adapter for the fpc that allows the scope to be mounted rearward? I also have the fpc and the Response. I use an Aimpoint Pro on both. Great videos that are very informative.
Have you checked out the Nordic Components handguard? It looks like it can fit perfectly with their scope mount on the FPC. Can you test that out with a video? I’m interested in that set up.
I got the Response because it was an impulse buy.... But I really like the thing. I have more fun with it then my FPC. Also due to some AR parts being interchangeable.
There are quite a few people that call the Response “A gun that no one asked for!” I believe that is where the why comes from. But now a month after using it, I like the Response a little better.

I'm a Sig guy so the mag well swap doesn’t mean much to me unless they plan to offer add-on mag wells for other brands which would be a real selling point in my mind. The point you made about cleaning is nice feature. Was leaning to the FPC, but the Resoonse looks like a better choice at this price point if you really dont need a truck gun.

Thanks for quick comparison. I really appreciate your videos. My question to myself is why would I want another 9mm rifle? I love my FPC. Great fun to shoot but for most other purposes pistol caliber rifles are not very effective IMO. Thanks George
First, I am a S&W dedicated user for the last 10 years. I didn't buy it for defensive purposes, it got my interest due to using Glock Mags also. I bought it to have fun with mainly. I will probably use the RESPONSE more as it is easier to clean up and maintain as well as many parts are compatible with the AR parts. The dealer I got it from only got one in as it was deemed "The gun no-one asked for!" But when demand actually dictated the opposite, he can't get them for now as they are sold out.
@mnrodriguez With new rifles, there are always issues. Please 🙏 do your own homework and word search: S&W FPC issues/problems. If you can live with paying $700 USD for a 1st generation gun with issues, then that is fine of course. Stay frosty.
Yu put a 9 mm compensator from caw valley ? Please provide contact info ( cost )& what doe it do ? I mostly do indoor shooting ,is that advisable or would a flash suppressor be better ?
Not so sure I see that coming at all or ever. One reason: I believe it would severely hurt the sales of the RESPONSE. Second reason: Being that the FPC is what I refer to as a M&P pistol platform, it would be difficult to impossible. If I had to choose one or the other, I would most likely go to the RESPONSE as parts can be easier and cheaper to find/get.

I have two Freedom Ordnance FX-9 carbines that are in the same price point as the Response, but the FX-9 is all metal and reliable. So I'll pass on this.
True, I forgot that part, solely because I don't fold mine, I didn't even buy because it folded. I got it because it was fun. While in my possession, It will rarely fold at all.
I hate watching PCC videos because everyone complains about Glock mags. I dont own a Glock. I don’t want a single Glock and I don’t want their mags.
My Glock mags work just fine. I use them because I have them and I no longer own Glocks.

Glocks suck, I never cared for the build quality, but to each their own.

I have both, enjoy them both. But I prefer the RESPONSE over the FPC. Only because of the mag flexibility.

@dragonsofthunder that is popular reason behind it. I don’t use it as a carry gun. It is just a plinker for me.
