- My wife and I were actually eating at Wendy's when the call came in. We were only about 4 minutes away, and arrived on scene first to find the garage area of the house fully involved. I'm not sure why the video was stopped when it did, maybe my GoPro was low on battery.

Must be the 3 stooges fire department. Everyone in full turn out gear except the nozzle man.
Three stooges? No, volunteers doing what they can for their community. No animals, tree huggers, granola crunchers, lbtqwxy, or others who need hugs and safe spaces were harmed while filming this video.
ABSOLUTELY ZERO excuse to see an attack crew member not wearing FULL turnout gear!!!.....For goodness sake!

This is quite a learning video. I am at a loss of why the initial engine approached the fire from the rear of the structure. The front would have given easy access to, 1) protection of the #4 exposure. 2) easy access to the front entrance to the house to push the fire from the house to the garage. 3) make a direct hit on the garage fire itself. I understand that this is most likely a volunteer department, (of which I was a member of one outside of Buffalo, NY for 38yrs) but missing basic procedures is unacceptable in any department.

I have worked MANY fires in my career. I realize that everyone has a different perspective on the situation. I just offered mine from my experience.
@@virgilhilts3924Trust me, I’ve worked my fair share of calls and when your fire chief runs up on a porch with half his gear and no pack on, starts grabbing stuff and yells when he realizes that fire’s hot, as this department’s chief did, it’s a pretty good indicator that you’re not exactly learning from the best and need some good advice from somewhere else.

Good to see water being put on the fire but I'm curious why a person wearing jeans is on the line vs a fully dressed fire fighter in PPE?
I love how in the beginning someone says “where are they”…. Why is the photographer there before everyone else… need organization asap
I watch these, because I PTSD, from having so many house fires near ours. I don't think this is helping me. We had good Volunteer Fire Fighters.

I really would like to find out what caused the fire. It seems to have started in the garage or carport with extension to the house itself.
I suppose the blaze was started by one of these battery - powered devices - a fully electric car, a chainsaw, a power drill, God knows what! This Li - Ion battery c***p is just everywhere, and it's spreading into every household like some contagious disease!
Once one of these batteries fails, there is the fire! I just discarded my old Samsung mobile because of this increased fire hazard.
It's mainly the el cheapo batteries and products that are of concern in that regard. They typically won't have the protective features that a more expensive, well made one will have
