- Is Galway the Best Night Out in Ireland? I take to the streets of Galway to ask the people of Galway themselves!
Galway in Ireland is known for its amazing Nightlife. But does Galway have the best nightlife in all of Ireland? I went to County Galway, Ireland to find out.
(P.s this video was filmed before the madness happened with the world)

I’d have to agree. As a Proud Dub I’d still put Galway up there. The music is immense and it can all be done on foot. Cracking place 👍🏻
Jamie, you have a flair for finding the most comical and friendly people for your interviews. Irish people are simply phenom.
@@jamiejaycar You're welcome. You're always so thoughtful and friendly. I'm flattered you replied to me and am glad to hear from you as always. Your talents go far so keep up the good work my friend.
Yeah!!!
Love Galway! I went to Ireland years ago and I have fond memories of Galway, hope to back "soon"!
(I still don't understand everything when Irish people speak but I love the accent, my favorite
Interesting that some Galway people's accents sound really close to an American accent, especially the first girl. I don't think I would have known she was Irish just from her accent.
She's American.
Lot's of young Irish people, girls in particular, have accents heavily influenced by the media. I'm Irish and I regularly mistake young women for Americans these days (they don't always have the new exaggerated California type American accents, they have like a 1990s/early 2000s General American accent). This wasn't the case when I was younger, people had local accents or 'RTÉ/Southish Dublin' accents. Nowadays genuine local ones are becoming rarer among the young middle classes. Media. Notions. I don't know.
@@cigh7445 My Irish granddaughter sounds like a TV presenter as do her classmates. It’s got to be the influence of Media. I think you’re right.
That 1st girl had to be American
It's sad, honestly 😒
Oh man, I’m going to Ireland for the first time. I’ve got a couple days in Galway and thanks to your video I can’t wait!
Galway suits younger folk, while Dublin is for everyone.
Love Ireland 🇮🇪
Great video man, 35 years of existence & still haven't meandered to Galway, will have to slap it on the ole bucket list for when the plague finally subsides.☘🦠
"Let's hype ourselves up" lol those girls were great, And I would love to go one of these days ❤️
Pompous arseholes
welcome
Jamie This is pure Irish Gold! You could build a small fortune with this gig! This is magic! Thanks
Love Galway! Lived there for 2 years, in Salthill and St. Helen's St. I miss it a lot, hope one day we move back to this lovely city! Just need to have a nice job, which is quite difficult to get over there😢
Of course Galway is the best. It has everything from great pubs to fantastic music to Salthill and the friendly people who will always smile and talk to you. My best nights out were in this beautiful City.
I like the cut of your jib. You treat everyone decently with no sneering. Subbed
I used to go to Róisín Dubh a lot, I have good memories from Galway, miss Salthill, Shop Street, Barna...
The first girl sounds american. Like an american who has lived in galway for a year or 2 maybe
Same
These have been really great! I feel like you get a feel for people in each one, and given the lack of ability to travel currently, that is very nice.
That 1st girl is American but said she's from Galway 🤔
galwegians sound american
I'm American myself, and there's a TINY bit of an Irish accent in her speech but I can see why you'd think that.
Jaysus....Galway has no restrictions, no quarantine and all the pubs are open!! ☺
It would be great to see people not going along with this bullshit.
This was February last year
Is it just me or did the first girl just have an American accent?
I'm American and her Irish accent is there, but EXTREMELY slight.
def on my top places to visit when things are normal again
Bro! Thanks for the video!
4:17 Look at yer man, a lovely smile to the camera.
Great Video! I've really enjoyed watching the one about the Mayo Curse, Tightness in Cavan and this too. I'm from Westport! but have been living in Vancouver for the last year. Westport was voted the best place to live in Ireland, you could do a video on that! MAYO 4 SAM ;P
Congrats on 10k
This deserves more views 👍
My soul and my heart will live and die in Galway. it’s where I began and will end my life!. 🙏🏼
Bob Dylan ‘ I see my light come shining
From the west down to the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released’! ❤️
The first girl interviewed put up a couple of very fine points
When is Limerick coming up Jamie? Great videos
I’m excited to come over there soon, from what I’ve seen it looks great! Hoping to go for a week, does anyone have any recommendations where to go?
Omg I never thought I’d see this video! Back when I had my pink hair 😂😂😂
@@jamiejaycar I’m so honoured 😭 no problem at all , I loved it
we travel from new zealand to galway we love it
I dunno, I've never been but I'm gonna go and find out after watching this ☺️
Beautiful
Ooh, I do love Galway! It's one of my favourite spots.
You can't beat the Dubs for the wit, they're wonderful
Watching from Australian good crack and nice city with great people
Man your busting her back! LOL
We have a saying in GALWAY Monday is the start of the weekend . When it comes to partying . Also once Galway races is over summer is nearly over .
Please do Letterkenny. I’d love to see those interviews, those people are some craic :-)
Letterkenya ;)
The first girl sounds as if she has lived more in North America than Galway.
Galway is on our list when we get to Ireland.
First person sounds like a yank tbh could be wrong, I am from Galway just never heard a Galwegian talking like that
I think it's the best night out.its an amazing place.
Yup outta Galway best county on the Island 🇮🇪👍
Sounds like a nice enough place. The way the locals there speak of it sounds like it may be like Camden here in England once was. When the pandemic ends, perhaps I'll stop in and give it a go for a few days.🇬🇧🇮🇪
Barred!
For me definitely Galway and Limerick on the top, limerick had more night clubs but Galway is much more musical and has brilliant Irish culture, Dublin not so much I have seen a lot of fights in Dublin but yet it’s my favourite city in Ireland
So being there 2 weeks ago, covid didn't ruin all of galway attractions? Like the live music and charm that so many people speak of?
@@NoonioN well not really things are going getting back, I’m speaking from experience I go to Galway every year I live in Ireland. If you are going to Galway you might as well go to Limerick and see the castle and Cathedral there. Also a lot of old townhouses on the top of o Connell street.
Galway is defo the best night out if you are into live music
"🎶...Boys I ain't never seen nothin' like a Galway girl...🎶"
Absolutely 💯Galway is One of the best in Whole Europe! Spend my teens here & Best time my life
7:42 typical dubs
Yes
Coyotes is single handedly the worst pub in town, It was the first thing I was told when I got here 6 years ago
Co Galway is where Vince McMahon's family comes from.
Are you ever going to Belfast?
i am from galway....usa love
For any body and everybody, we're visiting this Febuary, will there be night life in the dead of winter? Any and all sugeestions and travel advice welcome.
welcome to portlaoise bro
I’m from Galway 😁
How long ago did you film this? Haven’t heard of a night out in a year 😂😂
I think there was a night out about a year ago
Whats up with the American accent?
Galway is great because it's a city that's actually Irish!
Must have been cold 🤔🤫😉
I'd just love to go to Ireland no preference
Bubblin' Dubblin
Was this filmed before covid or something?
Where’s the Irish accent gone ? Has the tv obliterated it ?
Yup. It's actually well documented in linguistic studies on Hiberno English, if anybody would bother to read them. RTÉ since the seventies and later global media have been obliterating regional Irish accents and replacing them with upper middle class Dublinish ones and Americanish ones.
I noticed that my Irish granddaughter speaks with the accent of an English tv presenter. She uses the Irish phrases like ‘ ye ‘ for you etc. and speaks Gaelic fluently .- but you couldn’t tell in normal conversation that she is Irish born and bred. Her friends are the same.
Yes it is
What's the name of the dog you're wearing!
Who goes to Coyote's expecting them to have clean glasses? lol
Westport would give it a run for it's money
@@jamiejaycar yeah man savage, great little local bars all over the place
@@jamiejaycar Ah yeah Galway is savage but try Westport when you can, it's class as well
Yeah visit Westport house and that creepy rabbit 😂
The first girl is definitely not from Galway 😂
She is. Some irish young ppl have american accents from tv. Theyre still irish
@@cianw2942 She wouldn't need to talk for anyone to know she was American/American-Irish. Id don't know how common that young people have American accents. I have very very rarely came across it.
@@cianw2942 she's about as Irish as the Sahara desert lad
@@cianw2942 she wasn't Irish, she was American who lives in Ireland, maybe she was raised in America with Irish parents and moved back
Galway is good but Tralee has legendary nights out
galway 😇
I don't think Galway is as good as it used to be. Miss the days of Cuba, haha
The islands are the best craic in Ireland. No cops and no closing times.
The Crane, Roisin Dubh, Massimo’s......
Ireland has all the Galway girls 🤗
Away the best on the world john in usa
Belmullet is by far the best night out in all of Ireland.
Big up Seamus the dwarf has the best coke in town
Seamus is a local treasure
Galway - the graveyard of ambition
That's been said before. Kids who come to university have fallen by the wayside as a result of Galways demon lifestyle. Local kids know the craic and are used to it and don't get caught up in it. But sadly for a lot of youngsters over the years it has been the end for them both literally and metaphorically, I know because I knew a lot of them. I'm a retired ex college student.
go to naas and ask them why they all talk like dubs
That first girl definitely sounds American
Is the first girl American?
I honestly can't imagine how Galway must be when I felt safe as fuck in Dublin.
That 1st girl sounds American
Galway is just a series of roundabouts.
Not wrong
you should of put the last guy first
As an American, I am shocked by how "American" some of the accents sound. The first girl MUST be an American living in Galway? The two girls starting at 3:56 sound almost American at times, especially the one in red. You note an Irish accent on certain words and expression. But wow. Sad.
The thing about Irish girls is they dont seem to believe in waering bras. Love it.
The Young Offenders
Is it me or was the first woman American and not Irish hahaha
My Irish American daughter and her Italian husband travel worldwide and said Galway is the best anywhere they traveled. So much fun they want to live there.
Galway has the best looking women in Ireland. Obviously good genetics, but also more active lifestyle on the west side & better fresher quality food. I'm gay, but a few summers ago on salthill beach i was shocked by how good looking the women were. It was like been in st Tropez or something. The coast counties has the best looking men, not including donegal or sligo.
All of the Galway girls had American-influenced accents 😭
Fast becoming a quaint culturally homogenised corner of the Anglosphere.
She speaks like an American
“Im from Galway “ ….she says in a fake American accent
First girl got a lovely top on mmmmmmm
Yeah they do have more culture, more culture than a public toilet lol
Dublin is definitely the champ of Ireland for a night out issa fact.. Galway likely reigns number 2 though
Coyote ,
😂
