That wasn't a one hit wonder, he is truly back, GOD BLESS THIS OCCASION
I don't even play HoI, but watching anyway:)

Ok he truly is back for real then

If a global pandemic is the price to pay for Remans return, so be it.
I don't play HOI4 really but I'm here to do my part and support Reman with my 👍
Never too late to correct that my friend.
@@GugSport Well can you blame him?
HOI4 is a massive time sink. Addictive as hell.
@@mauriciomorais7818 it's not his first rodeo with PDX, he'll be fine.
Good point. I didn't think to do that but it's a good idea
It's you!!! Big fan.
The lord is back.
It's refreshing to see grand strategy instruction videos that use objective analysis rather that informed preferences.
Yes, the King himself has returned!

You have no idea how happy it makes me to see that you're back!
Glad to see you doing more videos! I love how detailed you are when reporting out and thank you for the time and effort you put into doing such in-depth work!
Thanks Reman. Hours distilled into 27 minutes.
8:11 There *is* a way to make sure garrisons use *only* outdated equipment.
In the Division Designer, at the top in the middle, there's a button called Equipment.
Click that, and you can set what stuffs that division uses.
If you remove all the check marks from all the rifles types except for the 1918 basic rifle, AND un-check the "use new equipment" at the top, you can guarantee that they only use old guns.
The one problem with this is that they'll also ignore any rifles that you get from encircling enemy divisions or capitulating enemy countries.... You could solve this by babysitting/adjusting the template every year or so, but that quickly becomes more work than it saves you :/
I believe this doesn't work, but don't quote me on that
With patch 1.11 (NSB), this micromanaging is no longer an issue! One of the best things about it, tbh.
@@jpheitman1 How is this not an issue anymore exactly? I'm trying to up my garrison game ;).
@@DesertCookie Weapons are now grouped into classes (eg. Infantry Weapons I, Infantry Weapons II and so on). Rather than selecting pieces from 50 different countries, you just click one check box to select all of them.
Wait hold on, I wasn't over my initial excitement. You're scaring me.
The return of the king!!!
Honestly love to see you posting again since you was my favorite paradox youtuber with the most detailed breakdowns. dont feel any pressure but if you want to make content you should now you have an audience
Business Management Major here and this video really impressed me. This is some high quality work any game company should be paying you for. Well done and thank you! Liked and Subscribed, which I RARELY do.
Love to see Reman is definitely back! And really happy to see you do Hoi4! I love both eu4 and hoi4 and this is one of my favorite channels for sure!
Super helpful in helping me understand the resistance mechanic! You have no idea how much I was scratching my head to combat resistance before I came across your video! Thanks for making this awesome guide!
I'm gonna be honest, I thought I understood this mechanic and didn't need any help with it. Then after a perusal through this video, I realized I had been doing everything wrong. Great video. Thumbs up
omg, I'm so happy you are back. You make some of the best videos for paradox games. Explain things really well and teach great concepts. Thank you, and please keep up the amazing work!
This is the best explanation I've seen - thanks for figuring all the math! It really helps.
You make the HIGHEST QUALITY Content for Paradox, nigh, all of CZcams. Thanks for the marvelous detailed work you do! Great video
You were the legend that showed up, answered years long debates within the EU4/hoi4 communities, and made the entire paradox community better critical thinkers and players. Now you have returned as the messiah and 2020 can be redeemed.
You don't even know how long I've been waiting for this amazing video. Glad to see a new video from one of my favourite youtubers !
Great video. I needed someone to break down these new Le Resistance mechanics. Good to see you back Reman
Wonderful analysis, I also really appreciate the timestamped subsections which allow for convenient reference.
Wow, Reman is back and back strong.
Really high-quality video, and really helpful. Big thank you to uploader!
Nice, was thinking of getting into HOI4, so nice to see some tutorials.
@Gregory Johnson why not
This guide is so good I don't have other words for it. Excellent.
Big thanks for awesome content, superior to any other hoi4 tutorials I've seen, and I watched a lot.
I wish I could find more Hoi4 related content on your channel. Cheers
I still dream for a post-MtG naval guide to appear here.
I never clicked on a video so fast in my life.
Not only is he back, but he's doing HOI4. This truly is the return of a long awaited legend!
As always Reman. A League of its own.
Wow, incredibly thorough and helpful. Learned a lot! Thank you!
Great video, taught me a few things even after hundreds of hours in LaR! Hope to see more HOI4 in the future
Thanks Reman, really glad you are back, best regards
Intractable French resistance and docile Soviet subjects, totally "historically accurate", Paradox
To be honest, because the DLC focused on France and Iberia it makes sence that for now the French resistance >>> Soviet. I think once they get around fixing USSR you probably will get partisans and other event surrounding the invasion of the USSR
@@nikbond188 Just gotta fork over another $15 for a DLC that will also include some random stuff like a new Madagascar focus tree or something.
exactly
You completely missed the point. The Soviet subjects become docile only once there’s been a peace conference. They are intractable as long as the USSR hasn’t capitulated.
Ah yes the famous soviet government in exile
Is it historically accurate no but then again is there being a single group of united soviet partisans is also not accurate
It should have been Ukrainian Belarusian and standard Russian sprinkled around.
This is the best guide on this topic period!
Welcome back and thanks for another awesome video!
16:54 that's everything I wanted to hear. Thank you.
Hey man welcome back, I hope you are staying for good, I remember watching your videos , you should do a new series in EU4
Dear lord the raw statistics being processed during this video are so damn good. Didn't know this channel but god bless Reman :)
Wow this is great, thanks for all the info! So well presented
Hey Remen, awesome to see your return. Can you possibly do a video on the 'new' navy system? Since it has changed quite significantly since your BB-only fleet video 😁
just came to say this is one of most informative videos on youtube on this mechanic:) , i used to think long ago liberated workers are bad but i was so wrong:)
and I just got HoI4 in the steam summer sale, perfect timing
Glad to have you back! I hope you find more reasons to stay and less factors influence you leaving. Which a way of saying I don't know why you left last time, but I hope it doesn't happen again.
Amazingly well done video, thank you!
The thing i like about your channel and your videos is the scientific method you use to calibrate and analyse everything from games. Thank u
God bless you. I now understand how this extremely unobvious mechanic works.
An in-depth thanks to you for this guide.
Love the loading sections!
Yeah that's a cool feature!
You're the man. Great math. Enjoyed it a lot.
Useful video, thanks Reman
HE HAS RETURNED!!!!
do MtG Naval combat...
....please : D
Absolutely love this data driven video
He is Back!!!! I LOVE HIM!
This is really useful. It was especially interesting to see how long it takes for civilian oversight to pay back its cost, especially compared to liberated workers, and to see the value of armoured cars - they might be a lot more expensive than cavalry up front, but equipment losses aren't much higher (assuming you don't have spare guns) and manpower losses are far lower
pls never stop for so long my king
Thank god i have been lost without your guidance
Excellent as always Reman.
the legend is back.
Fantastic video, great work!
Yes!!! He is back. Finally some high quality "tutorial" for those who want to know everything about HoI4 and did read the wiki and forum over and over.^^
Got a question though:
Why do you state that the manpower of your division has any effect on manpower casulties?
1.8% of 2000 soldiers (=36) is less than 1.8% of 1000 soldiers (=18) but you need only half that division for the some suppression.
So 0.5x1.8% of 2000 soldiers (=18).
Also there is a way to forbit your divisions to use anything else than the crapiest equipment.
So you can equip our garrisons with interwar stuff only. So I don't really know what you meant by that.
What really matters for divisions is the suppression:manpower ratio. For example, cav has 2 suppression per battalion of 1000 men, whereas armored cars have 2.5 suppression per battalion of 500 men. If a state needed 5 suppression, it would need 2.5 cav battalions (2500 men) OR 2 armored car battalions (1000 men). Since garrison casualties are predicated on the total amount of manpower in the garrison, armored cars would only take 40% of the casualties compared to cav if the hardness of divisions was not relevant.
Forbidding equipment doesn't work for garrison templates =(
Wait...why does the equipment selection in the Division Designer not work for garrison divisions?
@@remansparadox8604
Free Update 1.10.6 "Collie":
*You can now control the equipment of garrison templates like with other templates*
Guess they figured it out. Finally 1918 equipment for garrisons.^^
The return of the imperator
Right on point, keep up the good work
I tried playing without the paid DLC, and couldn't keep the revolts down. If you buy the DLC, then you get the cars that suppress revolts.
I got a mod that completely nixes resistance.
Problem solved too... lol
@@MrNicoJac alternatively, you could get a mod that gives you armored cars without the DLC, if you think it's broken without it
¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
You could just use templates with lots of cavalry and military police
I have the DLC but still have not used the cars, cavalry and military police are enough.
use light SPAA they have lower production cost and higher armor
OMG I AM SO HAPPY YOU ARE BACK!
I would have liked a comparison between normal puppet and collaboration government... Other than that, the video is excellent. Thank you for returning to making videos on HOI4.
He lives! Praise be!
Excellent video. Thanks.
so civil oversight is generally the best, besides some aspects.
And compliance and collaboaration, cc equals gg, if you do it correctly.
Thanks for the video, was quite insightfull.
So the tradition continues.
Adding a game mechanic that screws everything over unless you buy the new DLC.
This puts a smile on my face
8:18 actually there is a way. If you go into the template there is an equipment option, in the top right corner, if you click on it, it shows a list of equipment with checkmark's next to it. This way you can stop certain equipment from going into divisions.
Reman I cannot tell you how hyped I am for the potential return of new eu4 content.
"In depth guide to 1.30 estates", maybe??
Great job here man
He’s truly back!!!
Return of the King
In some mods, there is research to give all battalions suppression bonus or just one special battalion with suppression bonus. The thing is, it adds up throughout the template and "+10 Suppression to front-line battalions" means +250% suppression for the whole template when there are 25 of them, not counting the bonus from MP.
YOOO HE'S COME TO BLESS US AGAIN
HES TRULY BACK! oh my god I missed you so much, if only I knew this a few weeks ago when I did my russian WC, would have saved tens of millions of russian lives on military governing!
My god this was amazing! Gimme more graphs!!!
Yeh duck this I’m watching this again to make sure all the info sticks. God damn you’re good at what you do
Another blessing!
Oh hail brave deity though hath returned!!
The legend is back
Is this a dream? Welcome back!
He's truly returned!
This is fantastic. Could you do a video on how one should modify their tanks and planes?
One theoretical use of martial law I could think of would be to prevent sabotage in important infrastructure junctions to safeguard your supply lines.
I'd love to see some more in-depth videos on the HOI4 mechanics. I have over 700 hours and don't know the mechanics as well as I do in eu4, which I only have 300 hours in.
Hey Reman, MEIOU and Taxes is going to release its version 3.0 Would love to see a video about that mod, or just more videos in general xD
