adapters change your lug pattern so you can sport other rims spacers just push your rims out more the desighn is pretty similar and you may have to do a little wheel well work so that your rims fit if you get large spacers or adapters
So if I wanted to keep my original alloys but space them out I could get some like these instead of just normal spacers because iv found some red lug nuts but my original hub are just bolts through to wheel into hub not bolts on hub then nuts to do up .....
Basically I normally put the wheels on the put bolts in I want to have the thread on the hubs to I can get some fancy looking lug nuts
Are these adapters safe? How much do your wheels stick out with them on?
Now I just have to put them on before the snow storm hits. Freaken cold outside. Hope my son appreciates them ;)
squarez the adaptors you change what bolt pattern are they?
Do you have a link for buying these adapters? Also, how much will the offset be affected by? Thanks.
when you say the bolt is 22mm, is that the length of the bolt or the threat size? My Saab OEM is 14mm x 1.5 and I would like to know the length of the bolt I should buy if the wheel adapter I bought is 1 inch thick
were you running jeep sahara wheels on your gti?
So if I have an original 5x100 bolt pattern, and I get this so my lug nuts can work with wheels bolt pattern is 5x114.3? I really need to know cause I'm having problems with rims and I wanna know if my theory is correct
Would it be possible to go from a ford 7 bolt to a ford 6 bolt?
did you re-torque them?
@SQUARESPOKES Ok and do you reccomend the ebay ones.
okay so what was the center bore for your wheels? 57.1 still?
without grease?
Does those adapters affect the handling and ride? Is any improvement or just looks?
are these any safe for highway use
where can i buy the tool?
How are the adapters holdin up??
what brand do you guys recommend on adapters? does it matter if its hubcentric or not? im planning on putting some wheels on my benz and its 5x120. The wedz i have are 5x114.3 suggestions? tips? greatly appreciated guys
i have the same size situation
en donde los puedo comprar y cuanto cuestan
i got two piece hub adapters 4 to 5 lug conversion torqe em more than the recomended specs because my rear driver side wheel flew off today, would hate for that to happen to anyone else
Lol I guessed the wrong wheels but, I have seen a bunch of GLI's with Saharas and it looks really nice.
cool video 1 Nice wheels to like the style
Wabble bolts are COOOOOL, but most people don't know where to buy them.
Wheel drilling is also an option you should check out.
See what performancewheeladapters has to say!
when you put the wheels with new bolt pattern you cant use your factory lugs right??
Yes, because it's adapter
where did you find hubcentric wheel adapters? I've searched and can only find the ones that are not hubcentric.
go to any rim shop in your area
Javier Molina actually centric hubs only reduce vibration
Most aftermarket wheels do not sit on the centric hub
So if you are running stock wheels it will help but aftermarket wheels you won't even notice them
bigkarl24 I'm going for 5x114.3 STI rims.
Hubcentric is always safer. Don’t get any without hubcentric rings.
E confiavel msm isso ai ???
Why not just wobble bolts?
no me afecta la direccion
hey bud what kid of spacers work on a 2000 vw passat ? any suggestions?
Mi hanno detto che si rovinano i bracceti con quei cosi e vero?
Good video buy the way
Haha those rims are on CL. I'll be giving you a call when I get paid lol
good
No pic before after. Wtf.
why not just buy the correct lug size pattern rim with the correct offset?
because not every wheel that you want comes in the correct lug pattern for your particular application.
+JRock 636 exactly, so why not buy the appropriate rim with the offset and lug size pattern. that's my point.
Because, as I just stated. If there is a wheel you want, it may not be made in that lug pattern, so you would need to adapt the wheel. Example, Many JDM wheel companies drill specifically for 5x114.3. Which makes it difficult for someone with a Camaro / Trans Am , Corvette ect difficult to take advantage of those types of wheels.
+JRock 636 I understand what your saying. if a wheel dosent fit my car, why the fuk would I want to hassle n go threw this. I have various sets of rims. it just blows my mind people go threw this.
idk, its really not that much trouble TBH haha. These adapters are usually under $100.00 for a "good set" and literally take a few mins to install. The hardest part is simply figuring out offset to makeup with the space eaten up by the spacer. I always have questioned the strength of many of these adapters though.
fuck converting to 5lug this is genius and way faster.
that sucks, it acts like a spacer too basically.
In a way yes, but if the bolt pattern is off by 1/2 or 1/4 this is what they are used for to accommodate that other pattern.
yeah I torqued the hell out of them it was on my 1992 240sx. your better off just doing a hub conversion because by my experience the two piece adapters are shit, would rather pay a little more and not die. my rear driver side wheel wandered out into a 4 way intersection and fucked up this chicks front end, it was pretty crazy haha
Great!
The reason I went with adapters was opening up my used wheel choices. The Saturn SL-1 I'm giving my son has tiny 4 lug wheels with the cheapest tires I've ever had the pleasure of driving. In the wet they slide, in snow it's even worst.
I found some beautiful GM Split 5 spoke 5 lug chrome wheels that I found used for $200. They look new. Same with the Goidyear Eagle tires.
The 4 to 5 adapters cost $200.
For the cost of brand new shit 14" tires, I've got chrome 16" wheels with
Torque incorrect,fault.

Untrue
Just buy rims that fit your car
